Theme Song by Hello Control: bit.ly/hellocontrol - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I like how you explained it like formulating a sentence!
Yes, that was pure poetry. I actually had to write it down.
Thanks for making this video. I was just looking for a filmmaking video and yours pop up.
Just woke up and this is the first video I've watched this day. Not complaining since I was a filmmaking enthusiast and been a fan of Film Riot and Sir Ryan Connolly for a mighty long time
Over the last year I got into video as a hobby. This week I’ll be joining a small team to shoot a commercial. First time doing some legit paid work. This video makes me feel 1% more prepared. Thank you 🙏
I love filmmaking 😩
This series has been incredible. As professionals we take for granted the fundamentals, but there really isn't anything better. Keep it up Ryan and team!
Your content and tutorials are so helpful, I have been binging your bts and tutorials the past few days! Love your short films as well and overall creativity of filmmaking!!
Wow, I started watching years ago and it’s amazing how far you’ve come. The quality is amazing. Glad you are still doing it.
I love how you explain everything to us to the point where we don't need to ask a question! As a very Beginner like myself, I will say thank you for this amazing informative video
What a fantastic episode. Superbly explained and to the point.
I like the 2.66:1 2x anamorphic on a 4:3 sensor personally. A great lesson too, Thanks guys!
Even though these are basics, it's still so useful to watch. Love the linguistic analogy, so helpful! Great graphics btw
Thanks Ryan for everything you've made we've been watching you and (Others your team) for a while and we know you had so much improvement and love you from India, Mizoram.
Thanks for making such a descriptive video! Just what I was looking for! Love your channel.
This will forever be THE video to share when it comes to shots! Thanks for including the sentence metaphor and extra thoughts 👍👍
Man I have been watching yall's videos since y'all first started and y'all just keep better and better! Love the help y'all give and just the over all production quality and entertainment y'all provide is just amazing! Love it guys! Keep on keeping on!
Amazing. Thanks so much for this video 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for teaching us all these years ❤️ appreciate y’all
I watched many of your videos. But this one is beyond amazing. The best one I've ever seen! Thank you!
Excellent break down! Thank you Film Riot.
Best video i've seen on the subject of shots. Everything you need to know in 11 minutes.
Film Ript has taught me so much over the years! Thanks!!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm making a short film for school and this is beyond helpful, thank you for the amount of effort that you have put into this and many other videos on your channel.
Great primer. Thanks, Guys!
This was needed 🙏 Thank you guys
Very simple and yet very hard in the live application , thanks for sharing they are huge help
I really appreciate your content. Even though I aspire to become an actor, knowing all the other production elements is quite significant. Thanks for uploading such good videos.
Nice! Thank you Ryan and team! I’ve learnt so much from you over the years!
This is a great video! Easy to understand and beneficial for us with no budget as well as those with a few bucks. Thanks!
So glad you dug it!
Aspect ration video, YES, PLEASE!
Very nice dose of information in a small package! Thanks!
awesome breakdown on camera shots!
Your videos are amazing!! I just had to subscribe!
This episode is something amazing! Thank you FILM RIOT!!!
a good refresher indeed :3
As always simply BRILLIANT!!!!!!
Lets of useful info presented in an easy to digest format. Thank you!
I’m loving this series!!
learning a lot from this video..very much satisfying to know how the work is done and what we see in the movies. hope that it will improve my filmmaking so much. thanks for sharing.
This one is very useful to me. Thank u
useful!!! love the way u explain !
great value! thanks
This video is amazing, thanks!
This was so helpful thanks for the examples
This video really covers a lot of the basics in short time. Of course you can go much deeper into the subtleties of every shot size in different scenarios, but that would have taken a whole episode for every one of them.
Exactly the type of video I needed, thank you!
Awesome episode guys
Great video...that BMD footage looks great. BMD---great skin tones and shadow fall off.
*Quickly begins adding all of these to my alphabet*
Great episode as always.
Very good info!
This is great thank for the info
Thanks for this ma breda!!
I am really inspired and motivated by your videos. i fight hard to make u proud some day. attending as many film contests as i learn
Sometimes I learn sooooo much from the basics
Literally writing a shot list and this video appeared. Film Riot knows! Great episode.
Thanks, I needed this 😁👍
This is great for beginners! But useful for everyone really!
This is fantastic for Cinematography 101!
Love it thank you
So, i know this info already but STILL feel like i learned something new. Which... i did. LOVE U GUYS!!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Can you guys make a video about blocking, staging and framing in depth .
Love your channel
thank you.... good video , i like it
Thank you Sir
Wow a video came out on my birthday!
Helpful 😍
such great content
Gold mine, right here.
In french, we actually call the cowboy shot the « plan américain » (American shot) still because of the westerns framing the guns.
I'm not a beginner anymore (I think...?), but damn, videos like these are always such a blessing. This whole channel is such a blessing!
Love it!
Write shoot edit repeat 📝🎞️🎥🎬✂️🔄 luv the way you say it mate 😎
This channel is better than film school
how have i not found this channel before!??
Your videos are always very inspiring. Everytime i see a video i get motivated to shoot my short film.. It's been almost 2 years. 😑Money matters.
Honestly though how good is Heat 🔥(also great video)
This is really great. How do I go about putting these all together in order to tell my story?
Thanks
I love this video
these are basic things to know, 101 indeed. Its good to remember those things and refresh memory
Thanks.
Nice video
more please!
Wow this is ♥️
Will there be something like the stay at home challenge again and if so, when?
Just had a test in this todayyyy lol
its the little things that matter
Great video! Please bring back psycho Ryan from ten years ago :D like during bloodtober!
Almost everything you need to know about directing is in a single video lmao. He has two more videos like this about coverage and cinematography. Know those three videos and there you have it, 4 years filmmaking degree for free. I really like this type of content where you don't interrupt the flow with unnecessary jokes.
Can someone list all the movies in this video? It seems like a great list of films to watch.
We just added them to the notes of this episode for you. They are in order of first appearance in the episode.
@@filmriot Thank you so much! I look forward to watching them! The best film school is films themselves!
Damn u guys be grinding out videos.
For someone that's just getting their first camera and starting out learning on their own what is the best shot and angle to start trying on day 1?
Great video,keep it up!💠💠💠💠💠㊗️
You should also cover rule of thirds and golden ratio in future episodes.
We may tackle that in a future episode. Great idea. Thanks!
Write, shoot, edit, "DELETE" repeat - come on Ryan why u keep forgetting that word? :) hahaha thank u bro... another great one. we need to talk bro...
great your video is very helpfull can you help any one location video idea.
sir tell me about compact shot, when we use?
Can you make a video on the Filmora 10 editor??
Noice!
