This was a very exciting unboxing. I love your channel and was happy to see a new video from you on my feed. I do not have the Morgan's Tarot. I know it because of you. I have never seen this deck before. It really does remind me of the 70s. The first thing I thought when you pulled the Wizards card is, f*%k around and find out. The only thing I could think of with the Robot card was "We are DEVO". The Tripper card reminds me of that saying, "If a tree falls in the forest and there's no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?"
Yes the first edition was printed in 1970! I love how weird and profound this deck is. What does ' we are devo' mean? I love your interpretation of the wizard card the tripper card!!! Great insight on the card meaning, thanks for sharing 😁
@@divinecycles1847 DEVO was a band popular in the late 70s and 80s that wore plastic looking hats similar to the one the robot in the card has on. You can see these red hats in the DEVO video Whip it.
As promised, some initial results on coloring the Morgan's. Ça marche pas mal !!! I used the Stabilo markers first, as a base and then colored pencils for shadowing. It's not easy and requires some repeated strokes but it's possible. Sorry for posting here. I couldn't find the video where I shared with you my itch for bringing color to Morgan's 😊 I'll try felt pens now and keep you posted 👍🏻
Ohhh thanks for the update!! I havent had the courage to do it yet haha good to know what seems to work or not. How much have you colored in so far? I'm still thinking of using sharpies but i need to find the right colors
@@divinecycles1847 I used one of the "intro" cards (for lack of a better word). The ones that are not part of the deck itself and often just carry its name or advertisement (mine reads "Transmutation through union of opposites" at the bottom).Try coloring these ones first (front and back) to see the result. Don't forget the paper stock is waxy so it doesn't absorb ink very easily. In any way, I don't think really vivid colors are the way to go with particulat tarot... Go either Stabilo marker or Crayola Pastel . Let me know if/when you give it a go ☺️🌷
@@analuisahering2043 ohhh im totally thinking vivid colors for this deck!! 🤪t's cool to see that we all have different visions haha and I believe that the Transmutation card is supposed to part of the deck. I think I read that in the little white book. I threw it out in my waxy version before reading that lolll but thankfully kept it in my vintage one. I'll maybe make a video out of it if I color it in! It'd be cool to see yours too
