    Teeth need to be able to withstand the pressures and movements involved with eating, talking, and normal use of the mouth. So what is better, multiple bridges like the 3 on 6™ or a single unit spanning the entire mouth like with the All-on-4? Studies have shown that segmented bridges can react better to forces in the mouth, making it far less likely to break. In addition, if there ever is a problem, it is easier to replace or fix a smaller bridge than replace all the teeth in the mouth.

    I understand the 3 on 6 for the upper what about the lower bridges are they a solid bridge restoration or a 3 on 6 lower bridge? The reason why I'm asking my Dentist Dr Alex Fedorenko from Lexington ma, metro Dental and implant studio wanted me to have a solid bridge. From what he told me that you taught him the 3 on 6.

      @SmileSystems3on6  Před rokem +6

      No, it is the same as natural teeth which have gaps between them which can be flossed. The bridges are placed snugly together so you can floss between them but there is no air movement or whistle effect.

    3 on 6 implant seems promising but what if there will be no accident or what and there is a proper care for the implant? How long All-on-4 and 3 on 6 will last?

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  Před měsícem +1

      The longevity of dental implants and prosthetics for both the All-on-4 and 3 on 6 largely depends on how well patients maintain them. With the 3 on 6, maintenance is relatively simple - daily brushing and flossing, and bi-annual cleanings, just like natural teeth. Since patients invest a lot in getting the procedure, most do a good job of taking care of their new teeth.
      On the other hand, the All-on-4 requires more extensive maintenance Due to the bulky artificial gums, dirt and debris get trapped more easily. Therefore, the All-on-4 should be removed for professional cleaning every year, and the prosthetics may need to be replaced too.
      Most of our 3-on-6 providers offer limited lifetime guarantees, covering potential issues that may arise as long as patients follow the aftercare protocol.
      In the rare event that a patient's 3 on 6 fails, they can opt for the All-on-4. However, if a patient's All-on-4 fails, dentures are often their only option due to the significant amount of bone removal.

      While the bridges could be removed at a dentist office, the implants and abutments could not be removed and would be protruding from the gums. The 3 on 6™ is a solution for permanent teeth. If you want something removable you can get a removable denture.

Would a mouthguard be sufficient protection on par with the protection it offered standard teeth? Could you take a jab or a right to the face and be ok or would they jar loose? I don't have them yet. Dentures are rough when it comes to eating. The 3 on 6 seems to be the way to go vs the fixed denture that gets gunk trapped under it until the dentist cleans it every 6 months. Just trying to find a way to continue eating apples and beef jerky with no issues and maybe be able to fight.

      With the 3 on 6, the bone and tissue is better protected because of the increased stimulation on the implants (like exercise for the bone). With an All-on-4, the bone is effectively in a cast, decreasing the bone stimulation and adding to bone and tissue recession.

      You know there are many dental places that do payment plans. Usually around $200 per month. With a down payment. It's what I'm doing. I had my first appointment already, consultation. I'm 33, have zero upper teeth. All my lower teeth. The amount of times I had the dentists that Medicaid/Medicare forces upon us trying to push me into getting dentures is so infuriating. They wouldn't shut up until I said flat out "I will jump off a cliff before I get dentures at 27, 28, 29, 31 years old" I told them I was going to get implants or bridges, no joke they smiled at each other like me affording this was absurd. So instead of them helping me like my insurance was paying them to do, I started researching, making calls until I got answers myself. And the 1 thing I allowed them to do was a filling which they did so shitty it fell out in less than 18 months ffs. Had they been helpful though right away I'd have had teeth & my health at 28. But no. I lost 5 years because they refused to help me.
      My point is there's always a way & don't let anyone push you into doing something you're not okay with. especially to your own body.

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  Před 8 měsíci +2

      The answer is that "it depends". One of the key benefits to the 3 on 6™ is that it preserves your bone while the All-on-4 usually removes bone to make space for it. So it really depends on how much bone you have left. We've been able to help some people convert from an All-on-4 to 3 on 6™, and others have simply had too much bone removed to be able to do it.

    I have a bunch I of bridges Amanda I know bone and gum will shrink f there is no tooth.
    That is my concern with 3 on 6. Over the years bone will shrink and create a gap against the teeth arch. Then what will you do?
    On the other hand, all on 4 has build in gum like and all you have to do is to fill material when bone shrink. No remake.

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  Před 8 měsíci +3

      If you do a bit of research you'll find that All-on-4 and All-on-X are notorious for having bone recession and gaps that trap food. This is because the single unit restoration is like a cast on the mouth which doesn't allow the bone to "exercise" and increases the rate of bone deterioration. With the 3 on 6, the separated bridges allow for increased implant stimulation (like taking the cast off) which keeps the bone healthy and strong. Our 5 and 10 year post op studies are showing great bone retention and health.

    how does 3 on 6 work with receeding gums?

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  Před rokem +2

      The 3 on 6 is pretty much the best option to preserve gums. Receding gums really occurs because the bone is receding beneath it. The 3 on 6 preserves the bone with implants that stimulate the bone (like a muscle) to prevent it from receding. Current studies show that the 3 on 6 preserves bone (and gums) better than dentures, overdentures, and the All-on-4.
