    Scandinavian by Vidit.... Wow... Probably inspired by Magnus... I think Vidit just simply was going for a draw... Anyways well played by Harika... Hope to see these top Indians play each other more frequently... It will help each other a lot...

    Thrilled to find that Vidit is saying exactly what I also thought. Harika should have pushed the c pawn earlier than Vidit could being his king.

      But its 3+0 format and it is difficult to even form a strategy that fast. She had a great position and vidit was struggling with his isolated pawn on c5. But black position was solid and very difficult to get a good advantage.
      If vidit opponent was magnus, he would have won this. But harika play was wonderful as well

    What amazes me is that they comment their own game and remember a sequence of moves, what went wrong, what could have been done etc. I can hardly remember one or two moves or positions.

    I expected Vidit to win since he's 200 points higher rated than her. Guess that's not how it works and most GM games are draws with rating not mattering too much beyond a certain level.

      There is one key element missing in your thinking. Let me explain. You used the word "expected Vidit to win". In the field of statistics, the word "expected" has a specific meaning. It means the higher rated player is expected to win more matches than he/she is expected to lose. Thus, if 10 games are played (as an example), then a player rated 200 points above his/her lower rated opponent may win 4 lose 2 and 4 will be draws. Thus after 10 games, the rating difference will be justified. Here we saw only one match and it happens to manifest as a draw. This does not mean they are of equal ability. Professional statisticians deal with such calculations on a daily basis. You used the correct word but did not infer its correct meaning.

FIDE ke international rule book mein bhi hai aur saare tournaments mein ye follow hota hai. Lekin agar aap ek hi chaal teen baar chalen aur aapka opponent ek hi chaal teen baar na chalen to draw nahi hota. Draw karne ke liye mandatory both sides same move x3.

      Each indian state has its own distinctive language dude. Not dialects. Actual separate languages.
      Hindi is the official language, but the Colonial language is used by a lot of educated people from different states.

      No one else can pull it off. It breaks a lot of sensible chess principles.
      Don't move queen early
