    Great demo. And this pedal seems incredible. I can't believe how clean and usable the delay sounds are, even at seemingly extreme settings. It seems to stay completely musical and not devolve into smeared chaos. Even when it smears it sounds good. Looks like magic!

    This pedal is Amazing.
    What isn't amazing is the advertisement for sugar free mountain dew that i just saw featuring "gizmo" from gremlins. As nostalgic as you might feel, sugar free products typically contain aspartame, which can lead to hormone imbalances, cancer, heart problems, obesity and death.
    Mountain dew is also very acidic and eats the enamel on your teeth faster than any other so called "soft drink"- which is really just water and high fructose corn syrup, which we should all know causes diabetes and obesity.
    Now I'm off to buy this pedal.

    I own 4 Meris pedals. The manuals identify what every button, knob and switch is/does but they don't "explain" shizz my dude, lol. My Meris pedals are some of the most compelling and frustrating pieces of kit I own. I can't even get their damn preset switcher to work correctly.
    While playing with Meris pedals some of the most killer, uber-clean, crazy cool sounds will just fall into your hands... then slip through your fingers just as easily.

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  Před 5 lety

      Enki Ea Shoot them an email if you think there’s something up with it. The Polymoon and Mercury7 are easily my favorite.

    • @enkiea8322
      @enkiea8322 Před 5 lety

      @@aBunchOfPedals Yeah, I get along best with the Polymoon I think. I'm watching a bunch of demos like yours of all the Meris stuff, trying to see if I get re-inspired to keep playing them or re-committed to selling them.
      The Ottobit is cool too. Simply using it with an EXP pedal just to blend in the "stutter" function it's great but it could also be my best tremolo if it weren't for all the little pops, clicks and digital artifacts it makes when I (finally, after a bunch or arbitrary combinations of knob positions that seem to change every time) dial in a tremolo sound.
      Even on my Mercury7, the "alt" button doesn't seem to work right. It switches the entire sound that's dialed in to something else entirely instead of just enabling the altertnate functions of the knobs the way it works on my other Meris pedals. I'm also not crazy for it's "swell" function and something feels not right to me there too. Maybe it's all user error. Idk.
      Oh yeah... lol. I can never get my Enzo to do pure mono synth tones, even in kill dry mode. I seem to have HELLA latency between picking the string and the sound coming out. All I can get out of it is delay, arpeggiated sequences and like, "trailing/ following" modulation that floats behind the dry guitar signal. But straight up, fat, old school synth tones. Can't get um.
      Ahh... that felt good to get that all out. Thanks A.B.O.P.!

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  Před 4 lety +2

      LoftOfTheUniverse I guess it all depends on what kind of music you’re making or the type of sounds you want. I tried to showcase a lot of the normal or “pretty” delay sounds with the filter. So yea, i definitely think it’s usable for more than just some weird noises. I know what you mean though, by “oh that’s the ABC pedal sound”. You can easily use this for straight up stereo ping pong delay.... and right around some stuff that almost sounds more like a reverb. Anyways, I’ve had a lot of delays and this is easily in the top 3. I wish the ALT functions were labeled though, that would be nice.

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  Před 6 lety +2

      Oh man, there's a lot of differences. Here's what I can think of off the top of my head... there's probably more. The ES can do custom repeats (you tap in whatever rhythm you want, not just the tempo ), the ES has dedicated stereo inputs (the Poly has a single TRS, not a big deal), the Poly can do more "pad" type sounds that are really dreamy, the ES has more presets and sounds, the ES also has a cab simulator. Honestly, you should go look at both manuals and you'll see there's a lot of differences. That being said, both are awesome and I'm looking at them right now.

      To compliment the Polymoon or the Echosystem? Either one could do with a fine reverb pedal. Delay/reverb is my favorite combo. Some nice reverbs are the Meris Mercury 7, Homesnoise Black Lodge, Empress Reverb, QuietTheory Prelude, EQD Avalanche Run, Ezhi Terverb.... these are all pretty pricey though. The EQD Afterneath is cool too and it's not super expensive.

      It’s not the dude demoing it...it’s the pedal...the guy who made the pedal should have just made an album...but he obviously hasn’t found his song...so he makes a pedal that makes vague trippy atmosphere...for myself at least...creativity on a personal level, is totally limited by such a pedal....it’s not easy to make the personal music...and something like this can fool a lot of people...and it’s surely pleasing to hear...unless one needs to express the personal...ya know what I mean,,,,music comes first,,,,then effects come to maybe enhance that...and the relationship grows from the music first....I only replied to you ..cos I saw your question...and I thought...you were giving the guitar string picker way to much credit..for what the pedal does by algorithm design....it’s all the machine...and very little human...other than the designing of the machine...keep well ...keep on....
