Honda is good, but cannot compete with VW when it comes to engine. Honda's may have refined engine but VW engines are just superb when it comes to pickup, speed and engineering. Also, Honda's CVT is no match for VW's DSG DQ200 for a transmission. I feel even MG's are better than Honda.
@@kmrjt1 Honda VTEC is one of the best engines in the world. The turbocharged Civic (Type R) 2 liter produces 320 BHP. Another 1.5-liter Civic hatchback produces 173 bhp. These are available in Thailand. 😄
Honda India management decided to close down the business at any cost by providing non-turbo engines accompanied by ordinary features. 😥
Elevate isn't for drag. It's most practical car for everyday use❤

There is no comparison between 1.5 litre naturally aspirated engine and 1.5 litr turbo engine. You should have comared Elevate with 1.0 TSI engine.
With Speed Cameras everywhere in Cities and people driving mainly in Cities, Honda Elevate makes more sense

The drag race should be 1.0L engine option which has similar power. Anyways, everyone knows how good Honda's engine feel when that VTEC kicks in. Honda already has excellent dynamics in City and Elevate. If they launch a Si or Type R version with a turbo attached and a stiffer suspension, the segment will be conquered.
There's a reason why few people care about VW cars but there's a huge demand for Civic Type R.

@@LevenZ69 petrol Turbos aren't that reliable as compared to NA engines, they are hit or miss even in Europe. Nothing can beat the reliability of NA petrol engines. However for enthusiasts petrol turbo is better since mileage and long term reliability isn't an issue for them.
@@saunta100 no that is so wrong, turbo petrols are actually very very reliable and can take a beat but not as far as NA goes. Also the fuel mileage is so much better than an NA since you don't have to necessarily spool the turbo all that much. I have a kushaq, rapid, xuv700, polo and a punto, never once have gotten an issue. I've clocked over 1lakh kilometres on the rapid and 95000 on the polo along with over 1.2 in the punto. Never once I have gotten an issue with these engines although the XUV 700 and kushaq have gotten around 45k kilometres since they are very new. bought a few months back
i would suggest do with manual, there is drastic difference of the rubber band effect of cvt
If you see some drag race videos of drag race between sonet DCT and Magnite CVT, there Magnite CVT beats Sonet DCT hands down.

It's no match to even 1 liter turbo, VW engines are made for performance and Honda is for daily usage
Honda seriously needs to upgrade the engine or give more engine options for driving enthusiasts. Not everyone looks for mileage.
Use manual IVTEC then. CVT is not for enthusiasts.

There can't be any comparison/race between NA & TURBO and also between DSG & CVT.
Hi Daksh, this drag race is not appropriate as CVT transmissions are not made for drag race. VW engine is excellent but still gap will not be this much if you compare manual to manual.
Even this 20 lakh car dsg is also not meant for drag race these cars are for practical purpose and none of them are for drag race this is just for fun please watch full video

Taigun absolutely grips the road it's handling is insane at any speed it's unmatchable in this segment even though the steering is light because the car is so small and light+ vw dynamics, elevate is better at comfort oriented and poor road driving over taigun if you drive on good roads elevate got nothing over taigun in terms of driving

I got 1.5 manual taigun it doesnt have initial lag of dsg it's launch is absolutely nuts it goes to 50 in an instant if you launch it but i never did it again because i dont want to end up losing my tires 😂

Road presence ke naam pe kuch bhi kachra le lo, elevate, creta, aur seltos ek hi thali ke hain, literally dog shit, road presence acha krke gaadi ke aerodynamics ki maiya chod do fir engine kisi hatchback ka laga ke bohot zyada premium charge kro? sense hai iss baat ki, VW and skoda are making the best suvs, something with actually a good engine, the 3 cylinder in these can produce 272hp, tested in the factories but they detune the engine bdcauwe of the Indian roads and especially because of mileage, thst figure comes from a scroll turbocharger and mostly stock parts, these engines cant even bear a tune with thr stock parts near the crankshafts. And these engines are run on the maximum tune, hyundai admits it, kia has the same engine. Honda hasn't even bothered to give a proper v-tec, instead they give their shitty i-vtec. Same engines by skoda and VW are sold in foreign countries with nearly double thr horsepower in India, and for cheap. Honda hasn't bothered updating the Indian car market at all, same Honda City, trash engines. And just repeat the designs, not advertising at all, and careless staff, just visit the skoda showroom for once, youd know how premium it feels, youd feel like you're visiting a bmw or audi showroom.

I felt Sardar ji didn't drive it upto its full capacity.
After wheel balancing. My Slavia 1.5 DSG is giving 20+. Tested in my last trip Delhi to Chamba and back to Delhi without cruise control with one person in car and car touched about 125+ kmph many times, HP normal petrol and AC on at 26 C. If drive with cruise control at 75 kmph it may give 23-25. I am very surprised.
DSG can’t be compared with CVT. iVTec manual can give a good fight to VW 1.5 engine.

Kaash honda apna 1.5 turbo le ata. 182 hp produce karta hai sabki band baja deta. But it was watching the Taigun. Recently bought Honda Elevate after watching videos of both of your channels. Thank you. Totally satisfied with the car.
Tigun ki sales figures dekho bhai. Turbo doesn't sell much in India in this segment.
