    Hello awesome video thanks for sharing.. question do get ipv6 on tmobile using orbi netgear orbi ? I'm having issues with my Asus and my cell router my Xbox doesn't show ipv6

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před rokem

      I no longer use the Orbi system. I had too many issues with them. I’m on an eero Pro 6E system now. In either case though I use the routers in bridge mode so the T-Mobile home internet gateway is taking care of all of that stuff still. In my case he gateway is at this time only utilizing ipv4. I’m unsure if you choose to use the router not in bridge mode if you could then force ipv6 and have it work. I’ve never tried because not using bridge mode induces a double NAT and makes gaming worse.

    Hi, good evening, one question I have with this equipment you be able to change the MTU for tmobile?

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před rokem

      Yep you sure can. On the model I had it was one of the options under the advanced tab when accessing the router settings from a computer. The app on your mobile device doesn’t have this functionality.

    I have netgear orbi LBR20 has 2 5ghz wifi bands enabled by default is there a way to turn it off cause I have issues connecting to xbox live

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před 10 měsíci

      I would look under advanced settings and see if there’s an option to turn off the bands individually. I don’t think there is though. If memory serves me all of them are on or off because orbi devices merge the SSID into one. I don’t have any orbi products anymore to be able to try to troubleshoot for you.

    Hey would could you tell me some tips on how to get rid of packet loss? I’ve already tried deleting some devices and I also reset the satellites. And rebooted the systems

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před rokem +1

      Change your Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU). This number is going to vary depending on your ISP, but there are several videos on how to change it/ test it to find the right number to not have packet loss. I recommend the Nater Tater CZcams Channel.

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před rokem

      Hope you got it ironed out. It’s definitely a trial and error deal but once you find the right MTU you can change it in your router and it should be set and forget.

    I hv tp link wireless adaptor, its not showing orbi router in wirelss list, what could be reason?

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před 9 měsíci

      Hard to say with very little information. If running windows make sure you’re current on updates and restart the computer and try again. If still nothing then the router could be setup to not broadcast in mixed mode which makes it backwards compatible with older Wi-Fi versions (a/b/g/n/ac). This is a setting you would check in the orbi’s settings. Your tp link adapter could just be too old to work with the orbi or the orbi could be configured to use WPA3 for security and your tp link adapter probably only works with WPA 2 and below. You could also change this setting in the orbi. Hope that helps

    How can i connect with orbi 750 in existing tenda router

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před 8 měsíci

      If it were me I’d just replace the tenda router with the orbi and the problem is solved if the orbi is a better router. Otherwise you need to put the tenda or the orbi in bridge mode and connect the them together via Ethernet.

    Great video......only i cant do anything because it keeps saying im not connected to internet? Then i put my old deco router back and everything works again?? I have the orbi 960 set and installed it exactly as it should to the modem. After that the orbi shows up on all my mac's but it says everywhere im not connected to the internet. So i cant even check for firmware updates? Anyone can please help me with this?

      Honestly I had so many problems personally with the orbi mesh system that I returned it and switched to eero. Haven't had an issue since.

      @@helphq I really need to praise and thank you!!! All the other video’s I saw about this set on you tube praise this set right into heaven, not one mentions the problems. I had same issue with my orbi 963 series. I had to manually download current firmware version from Netgear for both the router and satellites and do a force firmware update.
      I have a new issue to where everything is connected, but my speeds are garbage. 500mbps at router, but when wired to satellite getting 30mbps tops. Wireless connection is the same as if I was wired. Got a fix for that? Lol

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před 5 měsíci

      Bad firmware? I’d honestly just buy new router. Netgear is not what it once was. I’ve used both tp link and eero mesh systems and never had an issue with either.

      @@helphq it's strange cause it's really expensive. The main router works. But the satellites don't sync whatever I tried. But i must say the connection and speed is fast from the main one that works.

      Apologies for wasting your time. The fix does work for people in certain cases depending on the circumstances… if you read the comments you’ll see it did work for some. It didn’t work for me but I thought I’d share the information anyway in case it did help someone else. I prefer not to lie so yes I did say that it didn’t work for me because it didn’t. Again, sorry you felt it was a waste of time. I appreciate you watching anyway.

  • @JasonPhipps
    @JasonPhipps Před 6 měsíci

    Why 2304 instead of 64? What does that actually do? How does doing whatever that actually does fix your internet connection?
    You see, blindly following instructions is a good way to wreck whatever you already had that was at least half good. Understanding what changes are made makes you better aware of what the problem actually was!
    "Do something!! Aaaah!!" is a bad way to troubleshoot.

    • @helphq
      @helphq  Před 6 měsíci

      Call Netgear and tell them. That’s what their technical support gave me as a fix action. The next step was replace the router. In my case personally nothing worked and I gave up on orbi. This did however help many people resolve their issues.
