  • Brendan O'Connell had been painting everyday moments when someone suggested he follow one person out into the world. This journey quickly led him to Walmart, where he spent the next 5
years documenting what he has described as the most visited interior space on the planet. After making the comment on National Public Radio that he had been invited to leave more Walmarts
than most New Yorkers had ever visited, Walmart quickly got in touch with him and gave him full access. Brendan, now able to set up an easel in any store, is on a campaign to elevate everyday moments into acts of beauty and bring contemporary art to Walmart aisles across America.
