Love the ruins. We went to Chichen Itza in 1999 and went to the too of the tower. It was so hard to come down. They has a rope helping us. I would have trouble with the strays too. We just lost our 13 year old English Shepherd on Friday to cancer in the intestine.
Hi Favor! I agree with you about the dogs....it is sad watching them run loose with no home to go to. Ruins are always fun to explore....so much history!! I would absolutely NOT have climbed that pyramid (either one)....too scary for this gal!! Thanks for sharing!! Hugs!!
I go to Aruba every year and there used to be many dogs running wild and some people would put a big pile of kibble on a road for the dogs. Now you only see one or two dogs once in a while. I think they have a wonderful rescue organization there now. Some of the residential areas look like what you showed. Beautiful to see the Mayapan ruins. Thank you.
The way the people of Progreso live was interesting to me, very different. They didn’t have front doors in most cases and no beds only hammocks that were put away in the daytime. The people were so nice. I really enjoyed it there. Our guide said it’s very safe and that there is little to no crime. I hope to go back again. Thank you so much for watching! Hugs!
Love your heart Favor - I'm with you , I cannot stand to watch the stray animals. It breaks my heart and I can't get it out of my head. They deserve so much more the poor babies. Being fro Hawaii, I ate a papaya almost every day. It is an odd taste but some are better then others. I also like it with a little squeeze of lime. Use it as a little bowl and fill it with sliced banans and grapes .. its quite good.
The dogs are one of the main reasons it is hard for us to go into some ports of call, heartbreaking. I want to try the papaya again sometime, I was so worried about a reaction that I didn't really enjoy it. Guess I'll just have to go to Hawaii! haha! Darn! Hugs my friend!
I feel the same way about stray animals, it upsets me!! I have adopted several strays over the years and they have given me much joy!! I am enjoying watching your excursion!!
I truly think the rescued pups and kitties or animals know they have been given a second chance at happiness and make the very best companions. Nothing like the love of a dog or pet! Thank you so much!! Happy to see you in the comments! Hugs!

Hi! We cruise with a friend in a wheelchair. There are several people using wheelchairs, scooters and walkers. The cruise line and crew are always accommodating. Happy to answer any specific questions of you have any.
First and foremost - I hope you, the whole family, and all those you care about are okay, and didn't sustain any damages or injuries during that latest outbreak of catastrophic weather there in TX. Feel so badly for anyone that did. Thank goodness no loss of life, last I saw. But still terrible, and made me worry about you! I TOTALLY agree with you on the stray dogs. Do you know my friends make fun of me because I can't even LOOK inside pet stores that have dogs? There is 1 inside one of the malls I sometimes go to, which is by the movie theater. I walk on the OTHER side of the mall, just to avoid it. Can't take all those adorable, sad little faces, breaks my heart!! :( :( I am not a fan of mango, papaya, or guava. I like coconut, although not fresh, and love kiwi and pineapple. (all the tropical fruits I can think of right now). :) Big hugs to you and Rob, the whole family, and all the gorgeous fur babies!!
