Yea all these fighters want the same trainers these days. Derrick James has a huge stable of fighters that he probably can't keep up with. As a fighter you would think you'd want a trainer like Tarver thar can solely focus on you.

Gonna check him out more often. This is my first time hearing him in depth and I was fairly gripped start to finish. I'm no serious boxing fan, but I hear a humble and knowledgeable man speaking honestly about the dynamics and mindset of a fighter in an actual fight. I'll take that any day over some who claims they have all the answers.
I had no idea Tarver was this good at giving interviews, breakdowns and analysis, and just being entertaining overall while doing it. Makes me like him all that much more. God bless this man.

Tarver called this one on point. Everything Tarver said came to pass. There is no better analyst in the business. I have never in the history of boxing ever heard a boxing analyst call it so spot on before the fight and exactly what he said came to pass.
As a true boxing fan, I just want to thank Bud and Errol for giving us this. There's nothing like the week of a big time boxing match.

Tarver has gotten close to being unapparelled in his boxing analysis skills. Always insightful, informative, entertaining, and uncanny in his preciseness. Has emerged as my personal favorite and speaks volumes about his training / coaching capacities to tutor and mentor fighters - are you listening Devin Haney???
In another video though. Not this one. You can totally tell that he is hinting that he wants to train Errol. He said that Errol's trainer is the problem for not getting him ready for this fight.
If he trains Errol properly, then I believe that Errol should take the rematch. If he doesn't, then I don't think he should.

Tarver there’s LEVELS TO PRESSURE. Spence is alllll about Smart Pressure. He goes in knowing something can come back and he’s ready for it. That’s not no average “put your head down” and go pressure. Spence IQ is heavenly underrated this fight and I love it!

Tarver didn't call the fight out explicitly beforehand as it unfolded, but the main scenarios he kept sketching out here is exactly how it did unfold. I too had serious concerns about Spence being a one dimensional fighter going into the bout, but I thought he'd be harder to hit than it turned out to be, and I was surprised that he really had no answer once his main plan of attack was not only thwarted, but turned against him.
The insights on both fighters, from the perspective of a former world champ was an excellent breakdown…beautiful assessment 💯

The layoff is not bad as long as you stay in training camp which is what Errol did right the Ugas fight....Errol fights more than one style but he fought ours fighters different depending the fighter he faced. Tarver couldn't had watched Errol fights to say he hadn't seen him do anything different...
