I read the recording on the album version was actually recorded by 'the wrecking crew', as the Ventures were in Japan for tour dates. I'll have to dig deeper into this. Some of the 'Ventures in Space' was also done by session guys. Interesting stuff...

That's a good performance. It was a live performance in 1965. We will request a performance in the mature period of the 1980s. For example, the 1981 Los Angeles version.

I was fiddling around with my acoustic and working on Flat-picking, trying to come up with some chromatic lines and this tune popped into my head. I watched the Live in Japan version and then yours. Great job. I think even Doc Watson and Clarence White might have cut a few teeth on this tune. It could be a Flat-pickers "Boil 'em Cabbage Down" First "Fiddle" Tune to Learn on the "Git Fiddle."

Great lesson. I enjoy your videos! What mod did you use from EZDrummer for the solos?
Thanks, I think I started with and edited fills from the “Motown” beat for the verses.
Not sure what I used for the solos though. It’s a pretty standard rock beat. I changed the kick pattern a little and moved the hi hat part to the crash cymbal to try to match The Ventures feel.
