These Gripen aircraft might be difficult to maintain and upgrade for some operators in the near future. Otherwise is a cost effective and guerillastyle aircraftsystem for those who can keep up and make the necessary system E upgrades and train pilots and groundcrew with the new supplychain tacticts 🙂 And you'll need at least three more squadrons to always be able to have one of them in the air 😁

The Hungarian Air Force with only 12 modern fixed wing combat planes is simply inadequate to defend the country. They need a minimum fo 54-72 modern fixed wing combat planes to have a real air force.

@@axdi_5462 Yes, the Gripen is a superb fighter but you need more than 14. Hopefully you get the F-16V (like Slovakia) and not the F-35 (way to expensive in my opinion). I love helicopters, spent 24 years in the US Army flying UH-60 Black Hawks.

Now we buy more Industrial things (gas, oil, nuclear Power plant) from russia that from the US. I would laught if Orbán buy Putins migs or su (joke). I hope its will be the F- 16. I want to join the Hungarian Army or Airforce in a few years. (Atack Helicopters)

There will be 90-96 fighter jets in the future. Maybe more gripens will arrive by 2026 but f-18 or f-35 could be an option.
It depends on the level of air protection.
