- I had big plans for this trip. All I wanted was to go somewhere new and do something new. My first idea was to head west, but the winds shifted making me try Lake Eugenie. Between there and everywhere else I went, I saw bait EVERYWHERE - but found no game fish.
So what do you do when you're getting skunked? Simple, stay calm, keep moving, keep your head up.
That's exactly what I did and what do you know, the fish that kicked it all off was a TWENTY INCH FLOUNDER. I had no idea they got that big. But this is all thanks to the beautiful ecosystem that is the Biloxi Marsh. My heaven on earth.
I hope you guys enjoy this video, as always I have links below to products I use that could help you and clicking those links helps me. Thanks for watching, until next time, I'll catch ya later!

What's up everyone, happy Memorial day! Hope you enjoy this video and please remember to subscribe if you like this content. I'm one away from 800 and hope to get to 1000 by the end of the year. That will get me monetized and give me so much more ability to keep pumping these videos out. But don't worry, I'm gonna keep making them anyway, it's too much fun. Catch y'all later!
That Pogey Ghost Shad has been the ticket for a while now. Great flounder!
Yeah man it really has. It does great in murky water too which is all I've found lately.
That flounder would probably win the star tournament
Yeah... Let's hope I find another one
@@catchyalater Had a fine flounder last year and found out the hard way dat flounders are no longer considered for STAR!!!
@@anthonycyprusjr7829 yeah I had to look that up myself
Sometimes, i need the reminder how spoiled i am. A 20" flounder is a hog in your area. In my area, I can't keep em til theyre 19". If you havent already, spend a lil $ and come up here to the northeast. Itll blow your mind.
I would love to do that. That's actually one of the reasons I'm asking for subscribers. Once I get monetized I will be able to focus more on this and one of the outcomes of that will be fishing new areas.
In a lot of ways, we are extremely spoiled in Louisiana, but not in every way and I want to see what the rest of the country has to offer.
NICE FLOUNDER! DO YOU EVER SEE ANY SNAKES OUT THERE???
I'm sure they exist I just don't ever see them in the Marsh. I actually don't see much of what I know is out there, never any rabbits, coyotes, hogs, anything like that.
That was a doormat flounder!
Seriously. I almost got it mounted.
Nice hat trick! You saved me some of that flounder I'm sure...
Aww damn I forgot to save you some, guess I gotta catch some more.
Do you mean Lake Eugenie in the biloxi marsh?
Yep, autocorrect got me. Thanks for catching it!
@@catchyalater cool. What day was that? Satruday I was not far from there and just found stacked reds. Anyway nice flounder. So rare to find em that big.
@@murderedrsx This was two Mondays ago on the 20th, right after all those bad storms blew through. Glad to hear that though, that's what I expected to find last week but instead the water was filthy.
Great catch today, where are you ?lol
Ha! This was a week ago, takes me a while to have edit time. But this is all in the Biloxi Marsh. I'll do a video breakdown of how to fish that area.
my biggest was a 23 incher just under 5lbs. I caught it the 2nd day of the of the star tournament, the year that they did away with the flounder because of the Louisiana's new regulation.
😡
Damn. Yeah I really didn't know they got that big, but y'all are making me feel better about keeping it if a couple of you have caught bigger.
Didn't see that thermos name, just Mii.
nevermind lol
Ha yeah to be honest I don't know how to pronounce it. But man, I'm telling you, it keeps ice forever. Even if it's left in full sun.
DOORMAT bro
Bro, I really didn't think they got like that down here. The four fillets were like 20+" red fillets.
@@catchyalater i gigged a 23 inch one in Biloxi last yr! Would of made u think it was a halibut 😂
@@getthenet1015 ha exactly! I had to look up halibut pics to see the difference.
love your videos man .....where you fish at
Thanks man! This video is all in the Biloxi Marsh launching out of hopedale.
What boat you running?
I run an Ankona Cayenne with a 60 Tohatsu and I love this boat.
