Holy f*ck this is fire. I just looked for videos yesterday when I bought the game and to be fair there were not many videos. Now you uploaded and I see a really good player at the game for the first time. Damnit.
The game plays a lot like Smash Bros. Melee, where the main movement tech is called "Wavedashing" and in here it'd the same concept. In this game I set my controls with a buffer of 10 which allows the next input to be pressed during another action, in this case a jump into an airdodge. jumping and airdodging horizontal on the ground is the fastest wavedash in this game and much easier to execute with the buffered inputs, it also allows fast aerial attacks keeping that momentum from jumping out of that wavedash. You can also wavedash after your "special moves" like the neutral shine (which you can also just jump to cancel and input another attack) and the directional dash as well as input any attack after that dash. Takes a lot of practice of course, i've been on and off melee for almost 8 years so the muscle memory's still there.
@@ItzBytez it's really interesting that u use the buffer super high to get such consistent waveland into wavedash shenanigans, I might try tinkering with the buffer myself to see how it feels :) great video, it's a blast trying to emulate your routes ^_^
