    ---------------------------------
The Suzuki S-Cross has earned high acclaim for its stylish design, compact and easy to manage dimensions, good on-road performance as well as off-road capability with its optional ALLGRIP Select 4x4 system. It is now replaced by an all-new model which takes advantage of Suzuki’s long established expertise in packaging vehicles above their class with flexibility, an even higher level of safety equipment and the latest technology to meet the diverse needs of both driver and passengers.
The S-Cross expresses Suzuki’s SUV styling heritage and the new model makes a strong statement featuring a bold and more muscular design that enhances its presence with larger and more angular wheel arches and smooth flowing lines. The front end design incorporates a raised bonnet line, piano black front grille and new design three LED position headlamps that help portray a high centre of gravity. This theme continues at the rear with larger combination lamps that integrate horizontally with the rear centre garnish to emphasise a sense of width, in addition to roof rails and integrated rear spoiler. This all-new design is complemented with a more spacious and versatile interior and an even higher standard and safety specification than the previous model.
Standard equipment for Motion is comprehensive and includes seven airbags, 17-inch painted alloy wheels, three signature LED projector headlamps for low and high beam, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with speed limiter, keyless entry and start, dual zone auto air conditioning, heated front seats and front and rear parking sensors.
Moving up to Ultra adds 17-inch polished alloy wheels, leather seat upholstery, integrated on-board navigation, panoramic sliding sunroof and further driver safety and convenience with the fitment of a 360 view camera.
The new S-Cross Hybrid has a six-speed manual transmission and gear ratios are optimised to help provide a good combination of performance and fuel economy. Additional measures added include a shift lever counterweight to help provide a smooth, positive shift action. An optional six-speed automatic transmission is available for both Motion and Ultra grades. For greater driver enjoyment, this transmission also offers paddle shift control with levers located behind the steering wheel.
The front suspension is of MacPherson strut design. During the initial development of the new S-Cross, revised shapes for the lower arms and suspension frame were utilised and improved struts adopted for higher rigidity and to also promote better driving stability.
    Dacia Duster
Dacia Duster receives new 1.3 TCe PF petrol engine in 130 hp and 150 hp versions
More power and efficiency for greater driving pleasure, fuel consumption always under control and reduced emissions
Like the Blue dCi 115 4WD diesel engine launched last summer, the new petrol engine also features state-of-the-art emissions reduction systems, including a particulate filter (PF)
In Switzerland, Dacia Duster 1.3 TCe PF is marketed from CHF 17'590.- (Comfort version)
After renewing the Blue dCi 115 4WD Diesel engine, Dacia is introducing in Switzerland the new 1.3 TCe petrol engines in 130 hp 4x2 and 150 hp 4x2 versions on Duster. The new petrol engines, such as the Blue dCi 115 4WD diesel engine available since last summer, have ultramodern systems for reducing pollutant emissions equipped, among other things, with a particulate filter.
Other technologies optimize engine comfort and reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, such as direct gasoline injection, the pressure of which has been increased to 250 bar and the mixture of which with air has been optimized thanks to a design specific to the combustion chamber. In addition, the "Dual Variable Timing Camshaft" technology, which controls the intake and exhaust valves according to the demands of the engine, provides more torque at low revs and more torque available, in a linear fashion, at high revs.
This new engine offers a significant gain in terms of driving pleasure, with better torque at low revs and greater and constant availability at high revs. It meets the highest demands in terms of reliability and durability with:
130 hp (96 kW) at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 240 Nm at 1,500 rpm, i.e. +5 hp compared to the previous generation
150 hp (110 kW) at 5,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1,600 rpm, i.e. +25 hp compared to the previous generation.

Both of them are good cars. I think if you would like to use the off road technology, you should buy the Duster. I saw a lot of Dusters in Austria, and in Germany. They like it on the top of the hills. As I know the Duster’s off-road technology come from the Nissan Navara.
The S-Cross is better in the city. The interior, the interface, the mild-hybrid technology, and the safety features are much better then the Duster. So it is your choice. The Forest, or the urban. I ordered an S-Cross. :)

I bought the suzuki gl (standard version) in Greece for 21.700 €, yesterday, manual. For over a month I could not decide. If I could afford I would probably buy the full version of S cross, all grib and automatic. But still, Duster seems aesthetically more advanced, and invites you for off road adventures. Suzuki on the other hand seems more balanced and urban..I think its more spacious at the back seats and probably better for long duration trips and better for family. But Duster has something old school and looks more masculine and jeep. Great video nevertheless!

I have Dacia Duster 2019, 1.5 dCi. Its the Prestige model with manual 6 speed. The car economical and has large boot. But I think Suzuki S-Cross is way better car for number of reasons. First its better built. Duster some time you hear some rattle noise from plastics around the cabin. This is evident when you drive in road with potholes. The climate unit is average. I had to service 2 times the rear drum brakes. They make whistle noise. Other problem when it is cold in winter (only winter) start stop wont work properly and stays all the time on! The other thing that I hate is the keyless systdm. Its very good but, when I stop for passengers to get in or out the alarm sounds for key even though I am inside the car. You will have to change battery of key disc every year ose 1.5 years. Quality in some places is good and in some places it is not. For example carpet is not even on all places and comes out and this makes me nervous. I am 1.87 cm tall and believe me my knees touch the platic and stering wheel. Its a big car but interior is average, I dont know how to explain. Engine is very well made and works 100%. If you travel a lot in autobahn or country roads its not vert good. Lot of noise, vibrations and its not comfortable for your back and legs. It leans alot in the corners. The Dacia's best weapon is Renault Nissan Engine and the price. But whoever reads this take my advice spend little more and buy better car. You will think that Duster is Okay. Its okay but after 1-2 years you will not feel the same. It will become boring and other stuff.

im into buying (i have ordered actually) Duster's smaller brother , dancia sandero stepway. Im excited yet undecided if i want that car or not (bi fuel = great economy and life savior) . I have 2 alternatives : toyota yaris cross and seat arona.

@@Jasonpantazis before Duster I had Sandero Stepway 2016 1.5 dCi Prestige model. I drove it 4-5 years and made 43.000 km. Not a single Cent I invested in that car. I sold it because it was small for me and my family, 2 kids and wife, small boot 320 liters. The car was very good and economy was the best. New stepway is better I think, I like the design more. More modern. I hope you drive it with health. Congratulations

No it doesn't, the price difference is valid when you compare the entry level Duster with the top spec S-Cross, I configured yesterday the SL extreme variant of the Duster....23k. What the actual fuck? 23k for a 3-star NCAP car that is incredibly unreliable and cheap?

    @Fr3e3 Před 2 lety +12

Seeing a lot of people claim that the Duster LOOKS better inside and out compared to the Suzuki...what the heck is wrong with you people? Don't you have eyeglasses in your native countries? Go see the Duster by yourselves and do the following : check out the flimsy doors and the overall paperweight feel of the metal used, try to find a comfortable driving position, press a little bit on the interior plastic parts to see how cheap these feel.
And these are just a part of the problems with the Duster: completely outdated infotainment system and overall electrical systems, incredibly poor electrical wiring, very poor noise insulation, very poor behavior over lifetime - in 2 maybe 3 years the car will start to sound like it's actually 20 years old, very UNSTABLE at normal speeds of 90-100 km/h and the list goes on.
I'm from Romania and I'm an electronics engineer working in the automotive field , perhaps I'm a bit more attentive to such details - but in theory I should be drooling over this car right? Wrong! I would GLADLY pick the Suzuki with it's renown reliability over this heap of expensive trash. 23k for a Dacia Duster just to have automatic air con, automated gearbox and some things which are standard even on entry level cars from Skoda and Seat? No thank you! They don't even bother to put a panoramic sunroof...wtf.
