Fab rats has grown up but this was so good.
Damn , what a ditch crawl !
Scot , I'm with you brother , A nap will do
Awesome
So when going through Fab Rats withdrawal you go back and watch episodes from the beginning that you haven't seen.
I can't believe Paul wears a 38 when I'm much larger than him and was in a 38, 36s now.
Awesome build. Worth every dollar. I have a 2006 was thinking about doing the same thing to mine. You guys are top knotch...❤️💯👊
A fellar likes this channel !
I would love to have that done to my Ford.
Matt just needed some good ole duck tape.... fix them pants up for good😂😂👍
Paul and Matt remind me of my brothers. They were machinists and I was an accountant. I would work in the shop on projects with them and they would hand me metal things to hold and they burn my hands and they would laugh at me because that wasn’t “hot”. Just a matter of perspective.
Cool
Love your show!! I have a stretch out tape and sharpie in my pocket every day get some help and go thru two or three a day.
You can never have too many sharpies.
did we just have a cameo from BBQ Rats
Hoooo Paul, I think you have the "mustard getting up your nose" with all the "spectators running around like bees !!! I would go for a walk !!! Imagine how much work would be done if all the talk turned into work done !!! It is not the clients that you are waiting for.....That's super I am very pleased when I see customers vehicles coming in the workshop !!! If I was sure I could get some goodies from you I would buy some, but Guyana is not very easy especially now ! Keep fit ad very healthy. Warm regards Paul !!!
Super cool Paul! You have such an intense talent! Your friends are blessed to benefit and learn from you.
In Pennsylvania
Great to see good friends hanging out, having fun and getting some serious work done at the same time. Keep your friends close like family, be there for them and they'll be there for you. Both Fab Rats and Matt's channel are entertaining, educational, and fun to watch, wishing you all the best and keep the videos coming.
Thanks so much for your kind words!
What's up
That’s funny, how Michelle knows about the heartbeat in finger. Has she done it?
too much chili lol
He bent over and riped his pants he kneads some carpenter pants from Duluth trading CO. Duluth Minn.
Keep them Toyota builds coming like watch them
Is it just me or does Matt like hanging out for the free Mountain Dew? Love how Paul is so unfussed or maybe just goes to swear a lot off camera when he's got to adapt stuff yet again. Seems the bought parts don't work out a bit.
Yall are real men. I'm trying to be. But the right equipment and tools are out of my range. I would love if you guys would show me the way . Help me please. My dad is a master technician. But he baled on me at 12. . And he taught me nothing. Wish I had one of yall
Michelle have you been sudy the book on different things that make a vehicle run?
Paul --- PAUL PAUL PAUL !!!
I got the link for the enormous scrap yard with so many staff you do need -- if you can go and see !!!! take a truck with a crane to load all the staff you'll take with you and you could go for more !!! IT JUST INCREDIBLE !!! So much money thrown away for ever and ever what a great shame !!! My guts are making knots when I see that......one is struggling others have too much...! All the best PAUL !!!
I am surprised you do not have a laser to adjust the frame parallel to the ground , of course it has a lot of other use.
Better than factory. What more could you ask for?
I don't know why all these bushcrafters make such a big deal about starting a fire, all you need is a plasma cutter and an oily rag and boom, fire!
Hi
I enjoy watching Fabricators work their magic. You guys are a special breed of artist. Thanks for taking the time to show your work while in progress.
Thanks for watching!
Good to see matt out and about for once hes always working lol. Thanks for the new content lab rats
Fab fab fab rats lol. Sorry I think it auto corrected to lad lol. Fab fab rats
No prob.😉 Thanks a bunch for watching!
Not only do straight axles make sense, they also look cool!
can you guys make a kit for a 3rd gen tacoma? very interested.
I'm sure you guys know about the gray wire mod actually I don't know if it's the same wire in the 2015 but the 3rd gen 4Runner and 1st Gen Tacoma gray wire mod then you can use the E Locker in any gear and you can use it in two-wheel drive
Yous tuck tape I've done it on your ripped pants lol
Female camera operay has a big crush on the truck owner...flirt city ! Lol
Nothing more satisfying than a SAS. Love watching this build. I have watched this series about 10 times and am currently looking for another Taco. Great material keep it coming.
I hear your pain on pants sizes... At 18 I was a 32/36. In my 40's I was a 34/34. Now I'm definitely inverted at 38/32. I blame all that good livin'... My biggest problem is choosing what my loving wife will make for dinner. ;)
Friend of mine used to always say ‘can’t see it from galloping horse’ yeah we are horse people. Can’t see it from the freeway.
What axle did u guys start with and did u have to switch the pumpkin for the driveline??? And FYI…. I watch u guys every time u guys or Matt drop a video… Thanks for the cool stuff…
Such a good channel and awesome content, realistic and down to earth 👍 you guys put a lot of work into that axle swap, its perfect. Hope your friends pay you a bit for your time
Thank you for watching!!
Absolutely amazing what you do 👍
Absolutely loved this video with everybody chipping in and helping Is amazing and job well done guys
Pro Tip: Wash yourself in cold water and your pants fit great!
Did they ever say what make front axle they put in? Just curious.
I specialize in lining things up without measuring.
A valuable skill.
I think I've come up with a new drinking game! Drink when Paul says "Make it permanent" ;)
When you own a welder, everything looks like it should be permanent.
Only if we are drinking Mountain Dew. Otherwise, the fab would suffer. 👍
Love the build. Giving me ideas what I am going to do with my tacoma.
Easy peazy, Matt’s britches are breezy!
😂
$12K in and easily $4K just for those Ori struts. Mghty pricey!
I HOPE you have acquired a drill press vice for yourself...I did not use mine and cut the end of my finger off along with 1/2 of the nail and broke it also...LIVE & LEARN
That's why I loved my 81 Toy Truck. Straight axles and 4 on the floor! Best off-road truck!
its so cool watching you build this front suspension! its amazing how much you got done in this video
I love the heavy music whenever Paul's welding or when sparks are flying
Spend 12k towards new truck or have Paul build a rock crawler beast? Right choice made!
A tacoma looks so natural with a solid axle
hey Fab when you going to start working on your son truck and I like watching your Video
You guys are awesome at this. I'm an old guy. I wish I could have had this talent. Great videos thanks for sharing. ( Scott looks a little worried about his truck. lol. I don't blame him. I would be worried too. )
Thanks for watching!
Scott loves his truck now.😉
Awesome work, your solid axle swap looks well done and it looks like working well too.
Scott seems to love it! Thanks for watching!
Still catching up on the back catalogue. What a brilliant workshop, with people dropping in to help out, shoot the breeze, swap ideas and generally take the ...... Lots of bendin', weldin', engineerin' and fabricatin'. Plus of course, some superb machinery. BTW, I'm in the UK and if you left any of that bare metalwork without paint for more than 24hrs, you would have rust.... everywhere.
Thanks for the kind words!
U r “THE MAN” nice job nice job!!!!!!!
Ou of what that straight from axle coming from?
So tell me why you are brazing with a cutting torch???
I wonder how much to get a front end straight axle?
I know this one’s old but hasn’t Matt has ripped his pants on screen like two or theee times already? 🤣
Maybe I missed it, but what axle was used for the swap?
The Tacoma is just the "best".
Lucky Scott.
What front able was used?
Is that a Waggy 44 or a Ford 44. I am assuming wagoner because it’s not a high pinion.
Is that better than a 4 link
Now for an import option of a factory Tacoma diesel and every insurance yota out there will be sucked up dry!
How do I get you to do a straight axle swap on my Dakota
Really enjoyed the Toyota build. Need a how to on how you setup and create the suspension along with parts and sizes.
I want an update to this rig build. I keep coming back to this project it's so good!
What axle did you guys use for the front end?
Awesome build....... cool how everyone comes together and puts their experience to help a fella out!!!
What axle are you guys using for this swap?
What front axle is that
Toyota ford Chevy dodge Nissan and all the rest put those solids back in the fronts of 4x4ers nobody wants ifs, or stupid crawl control sport mode tow mode bla bla. I see it being cheaper to build from start and the amount of aftermarket would be large I feel. You guys just made that Toyota go up in value a lot. Great work dudes.
Gorgeous rig!
I just love you guys as its not just go out and buy everything you take the time to make and fix and none of that will do Awesome to watch
Thanks for the kind words! And thanks for watching!
Is that a high pinion or low pinion axle?
Paul spitting sparks from the plasma cutter one minute, then being the recipe whisperer on the phone the next moment!
Paul of Fab Rats, “The Most Interesting Man In The World!”
Forget that beer dude, he’s nothing next to Paul!
What do you like about or diss like about the ORI shocks
So far I like everything about them!! The only thing I don’t like is the price.😉
Fab Rats yes I was going to see about kings airs but they won’t work with the long travel kit since I want to delete my torsion bars.. so I will have to do a coil over
Kinda cool you reply unlike Matt lol fame has got him lol
That was awesome build !! And Matt’s poor pants lmao . Had to watch it twice
Fun to watch all of you. Go Scott zipper up
every car in PA NEEDS this mod to handle our crap roads
Great work on that, it looks terrific! Man, I need that for my 4Runner! I'd love to get rid of that IFS crap, LOL.
@Jbog07 oh that's interesting. Well, apparently Jeep has it figured out, haha. I will concede the ride comfort, my 4Runner definitely rides and steers better than my old solid axle Grand Cherokee. Off-road though, the Cherokee was light years ahead of the 4Runner in any technical off roading where front articulation was needed.
I watched videos of IFS Toyota's off-roading, and it's just so pathetic how little the front suspension actually does. It's good for bombing down dirt roads a little faster than you probably should be going, but it just doesn't articulate at all in flexy stuff.
You are on your way to becoming the premiere Toyota suspension king
You’re making customers for life. Meaning me.
Nice!👍🏻
