    This is the only video I've watched where the pulley system is used correctly. It's cool to see such a huge rack loaded with wet laundry being pulled up with so much ease.

    We just built one similar to this and then I found your video. I am so tired of using the dryer that I had to come up with something else for the winter. Now we just have to hang it from the ceiling and your video is perfect for that. Thank you.

    I'm a university student and bounce between rental units and apartments and I can't wait till I put some roots down and can build one of these myself! Thanks for posting and congrats on a fantastic idea!! : )

    Has no-one ever seen the Dolly Rack drying system used in the UK for generations? It is the same but easier to install and use...and looks beautiful!

  • @beauandmelaniecratsley5620

    This is so cool!! Going to use this design in our future off-grid home!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

    The only time I saw anything like this was in a 1945 British movie, "This Happy Breed" near the end of the movie. I thought, "Wow, this is really a great idea.", but I had no idea how they did it. Now, thanks to your efforts, I do. Thank you for showing this video. I would like to do it in my next house.

      @tiaan_va Před 2 lety

      why on earth would you have this above your bath? That (and a bathroom in general) seems like the absolute worst place in the whole house to be air drying your laundry.....

    Fantastic, that's what I have dreamt of doing it with an old trampoline with proper clothes line and paracord ropes to use to pull up the rack in the garage but where on earth did you buy the pully parts?

    I love your rack!! I'm very scared of creating mood though. I was thinking of priming the ceiling and walls with anti dampness paint + use a simple "slat in bucket" dehumidifier. Thoughts? :)

    A very nice idea. Now if my landlord wouldn't kill me for putting this up, I'd make something like this right away :) Maybe I'll look into something similar, but on a stand that goes all the way to the ceiling, but can be disassembled later for when I move. Thanks for the video.

    Wow, what a beauty. That's the biggest clothes rack I've seen. Not sure I'd be able to pull that beastie up. Mine is the ordinary 4 slat rack and when fully loaded with towels and jeans, it's pretty heavy.

    beware that when drying clothes in contained spaces, the humidity of the environment increases 2x and bookpages will enclose that moisture and warp.
