I think a large percentage of US Americans don't even know that they're considered so Puritanical and sexually repressed compared to other countries.
One of the side effects of being a global superpower for so long is that you only export culture and never import it.
Based on my experience, I would say it is the exception rather than the rule for US residents to consume foreign media or news. We almost exclusively pay attention to domestic films, tv, news, culture, etc.
Lol where I’m from in the US sex isn’t considered that big of a deal at all. And of course it may depend on where you’re from in the US, but making generalizations about any country, whether it be Americans making them about British people or the other way around, it never really does anything but cause strife.

I'm 28 too but I grew up watching Sister Sister. Although I probably saw some of the earlier episodes as reruns but it wasn't that long after. I still love watching it on Netflix. 💕 This was such a cute idea btw.

AbFab is one of my favorite sitcoms of all time! Still love to rewatch the old episodes. Never watched Sister Sister... I think was too old to appreciate it when it came out.
I'm 39, but remember watching Sister Sister with my cousin's daughters back in the 90s - was so glad to find it on Netflix!
Monet has no idea how iconic and influential AbFab is. 9:05 Preach! Same thing would happen in college. I made sure to tell my white friends (in particular) no shoes in the house, no shoes on the furniture, and no shoes or feet on the pillows. Either they're barefoot everywhere or wearing shoes everywhere. Socks were invented for a reason.

I love it when somebody who has never seen said item is watching, because then the reaction is a genuine reaction. For me watching people who haven’t seen whatever it is I’m watching kind of makes it feel fresh and new (even though I’ve seen it 1000 times over), it’s the excitement of seeing how they’re going to react to said punchline or said Plot twist.
