    i have a doubt. wouldn't there be more chances of vital pulp tissue remaining in the apical third while the coronal is being prepared?...subsequently, that may lead to pain to the patient.

    I’ve question from my past paper that what is the significance of dentino enamel junction in cavity preparation?

    • @mamdouhhajaj
      @mamdouhhajaj Před 5 lety +1

      i think cuz basically enamel rods run in perpendicular way on the dentin ... so in case these rods r not supported downward by that dentin it will be weak and easily broken causing leakage and other secondary caries later " like glass considering brittleness " so in cavity prep we must eliminate it .. watch a pic for tooth histology to realize what i mean .

    Сan you help me how make an apical stop?

    • @mamdouhhajaj
      @mamdouhhajaj Před 5 lety

      acc to step back technique ... after taking the whole length of the canal .. reduce the length one mm ( if the whole length 24 u will make the k file working length 23 ) then u will start inserting the k files to that working length till u reach the master with ur counter clockwise motion,, u will cut the dentin making the step downward 1 mm u didn't touch with any file .. and that's it the apical stopper( don't forget the irrigation )

      @@mamdouhhajaj can you clarify wd the crown down technique.. So if we procede manually from 40- 15 size.. What shall become the master apical file.. 40 or 15.. Also which will correspond to the GP master cone.. 40 ?? Should the 40 size file reach until apical stop after final preparation.. Or should it reach just mid third.. Pls clarify on the master apical file and obturating cone numbers. Thanks
