I lost more than 200+ connect in the past 6month to apply for the projects, but they didn't hire anyone. please control fake and spam post and if they don't hire anyone, then refund our connect.

I lost 100 connects to scammers. I tried to go with them to know the scammers system. They will send you their email and telegram (which is restricted).....it happens a lot of times. The things is, the job post is payment verified and 5 stars rated. Please upwork, do something to counter this.

Each connects price 0.15$. Average project need 12-16connects to apply. that's ok, but if the company didn't hire anyone then, refund our connects

In this wave of AI where everybody just wants to look cool be integrating AI to their products, Upwork would have actually made profit by solving freelancers problem and making it an easier platform for everybody to land a job. AI is not limited to just being a chatbot, you can actually use it to scan the jobs and profile of clients and freelancers and warn them for their scam or suspicious jobs. Use it wisely.
‼ How to contact Upwork support. I need an answer with my funds and other than chatting with bot there is no information at all. Why can't such a corporation hire a couple of employees for the support service or why hide it so that no one can find information how to write to you?

Correct me if I'm wrong, upwork used to give some connects when opening a new account but now it doesn't give anything. Please fix it.

As a professional WRITER, I am offended to have AI advertised to me every time I open my Upwork profile. Upwork displays a lack of sensitivity by embracing and promoting AI; do you know how many content writers lost their jobs because of this?
I've been a writer for 30yrs and I've found that it's a tool, like my typewriter was, my old windows XP, then my tablet & phone.
I'm the creative creator at all times, but it can be helpful to use it to proofread and edit.
I don't type fast anymore but I'm well versed on my topics & can speak off the top, I then use gpt to clean it up, format it.

All non-U.S. individual taxpayers who receive payments on Upwork must complete the W-8BEN form to verify that they are not a U.S. Person, and are performing services outside of the United States. Please make sure you fill out your Tax residence card along with filing a W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E, under Settings › Tax Information > Tax residence. You will not be able to withdraw your earnings from Upwork until you complete the form. Also, if you do not complete the required form, we will be required to withhold up to 30% of your future earnings on Upwork and send them to the IRS. We will not be able to provide refunds on the withheld funds submitted to the IRS, even if the forms are later completed.

What was once a solid product, Upwork has lost its way under Hayden Brown's leadership. It's gotten so bad, that even she's recently dumped her shares. These updates won't save you, Hayden. You need to fix the problems, or step aside and let someone who can, take your place.
