Satsang is a Sanskrit term derived from two roots: sat meaning "true’" and sangha meaning community, company, or association. It can be translated as "associating with good people" or simply "being in the company of truth," and refers to the act of gathering with Sattvic-minded, uplifting beings, especially spiritual seekers.
Satsang is different from any course or lecture because the energy field in it allows for clarity, stillness, and expanded awareness to be experienced by those who seek it.
Whenever something increases your awareness of the Truth, it opens your Heart and quiets your mind.
Satsang is one of the most effective means of transcending your mind and staying in the egoless state which can be called enlightenment, liberation, freedom, moksha, nirvana or simply abiding in Self.
We call our Satsang lovingly as Bhagavan Satsang as they are all due to his grace, Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.
According to Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Satsang means only Atma Sang(Association with Self). Those who are trying to be in Self can come in the company of realized beings/Sadhus/Saints/Sages and that is also Satsang. Those who come in the company of Jivanmuktas also become Jivanmuktas.
Bhagavan explained the importance of Satsang by quoting Tayumanuvar, Suta Samhita, and Kaivalya Navanitam.
Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi is widely thought of as one of the most outstanding Indian spiritual teachers of recent times. Having attained enlightenment at the age of 16, he was drawn to the holy mountain of Arunachala in southern India and remained there for the rest of his life. Arunachala mountain itself is considered to be self-manifested Lingam, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Just by looking at it with reverence liberation will happen.
Attracted by his stillness, quietness, and teachings, thousands sought his guidance on issues ranging from the nature of God to daily life.
The philosophy of Advaita or Non-Duality has become, along with Buddhism, one of the most popular spiritual paths being pursued by those interested in enlightenment today. During the past three decades, Advaita has become more widely recognized in the West through the ever-growing popularity of Ramana Maharshi. His point of view has for its aim Self-realization. The central path taught in this philosophy is the inquiry into the nature of Self, the content of the notional 'I-thought'. Carl Jung wrote of Ramana: “Sri Ramana is a true son of the Indian earth. He is genuine and, in addition to that, something quite phenomenal. In India, he is the whitest spot in a white space. What we find in the life and teachings of Sri Ramana is the purest of India; with its breath of world-liberated and liberating humanity, it is a chant of millenniums.”

🙏🏽 this is my favorite channel. Grace and gratitude to you Sanjay for your teachings. It is hard for me to adapt completely to pure awareness because i live in California, the wild west where Ego is king. I am aware of this awareness though and that gives me liberation in knowing that i’m on my way to discovering my true nature of the absolute. Practice of this discovery of pure Awareness is growing stronger for me. Dear Sir. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful satsangs.The observation of the ego mind started a few months ago. 3-4 times it was a slipping back in the identification. It was an opening up of some kind of field from the chest in the past and now this field it's extanding more and more. What it's seen here that this movement cannot be controlled. Expansion, contractions are alternating. It was a glimpse at some point that everything dissapeared, but mind was not dissolved completely. And yes, it takes a lot of effort to remain impersonal in the midst of people and so called outside world. The ego leans more on the bhakti side so only love and sincerity remains sometimes when it's hopelessness. So many characters put videos on youtube how it happened for them.. It is not the ego who is talking in their case of what happened?? Who can talk when everything drops?? This character here will be very thankful and grateful for some pointers about this subject in future satasangs. With love and respect and endless gratitude, thank you. 🙏🌹💗

If one (non-sage) asks the question "who am I?", the ego will reply immediately. That is in most cases. For the ego to be totally out of the equation, the ego has to be completely dismantled, when one puts the question. But we are normally not in that state of shock or distress, where the ego is humbled and begging for help.
To me it's questionable if seeking the Self is possible at all without the assistance of the ego, which must be the reason for bhakti yoga?
But the first and foremost question to me is "why?" Why have we been entangled and messed up so badly by ego on this planet?

My question is that, is not there a duality between the awareness and to what it looks at? I know many great teachings talk about non duality and so on. Can you say in the case of the awareness there is duality? Thank you.

When Bhagwan opened his eyes He only saw Himself.
If you see the World as a plethora of external phenomena then you're not seeing God.
When you only see yourself then the World is none other.

Quickest way is to completely cut off any sexual activity unless your married. Next is to focus on work or whatever duty you need to do to take care of your bodies requirements. Do only what is necessary and avoid any forms of mindless entertainment especially things from a tv screen.
