    These videos are a great record of these most talented musicians. Imagine if we had video interviews with Beethoven or Strauss.

    I agree with what he said about Klemperer's EMI Fliegende; had he heard Klemperer's live recorded performance of Lohengrin in the Hungarian language, from the Budapest Opera, circa 1948? I thought it was beautiful and, if not mistaken, contains Klemperer's castigation to the audience, "frechheit", which I believe translates to "cheek". Not coincidentally perhaps, Klemperer was such a masterly conductor of the Bruckner 6th symphony, the "cheekiest" of Bruckner's symphonies, by the composer's own admission. It took one to know one.
