My GE Dishwasher stopped heating. I replaced the dishwasher heating element but it still did not work. The end fix ending up being to replace the Flood Switch, which has a thermostat unit built in. If the switch doesn't resolve your issue, check your heating element, look for any signs of breaks or cracks.
Also, I believe it's important to prevent the root cause to keep from having to replace this sensor every so often. We were, for the longest time, using the good dishwashing detergent. We ran upon hard times and ended up using the cheapest stuff we could find. After 2 months, it wasn't cutting the grease we were putting through the dishwasher and it backed up the sensor. I tried to clean it but nothing but replacing it helped.
Do yourself a favor and use good products in your dishwasher. Below are the links to products we use in our home. Try to clean your dishwasher at least once a month with the Allfresh dishwasher cleaner packs. The Cascade helps to break down all of the grease on plates.
