  • Hey guys,
    Just a quick iPhone video breakdown of my built, carb swapped, 2008 KFX 450. Don’t see any videos going in depth on these awesome quads so hope you enjoy!
    Sorry for the sound quality and lighting, obviously not pristine conditions or recording equipment.
    Please leave a like or a comment if you liked the video or have any questions!

      @@KFX_JDCan't wait to see. Looks like you got your sprocket shaft situation figured out for the hybrid? What year CRF is it?

      @@PatrickRiggs33 yes, sprocket shaft is figured out and running great. It’s an ‘09 450 with a stage 3 cam and tuned ECU by Tokyomods. Thing is a rocket ship since it lost 30lbs too.

    Glad u were able to save it with the carb swap. Too bad the electric work is always so hard and tricky and u would have been able to keep it fuel injected but I'm sure it will prove to be more reliable for you now

      What’s goin on Ninja?! Yeah the EFI was just too much to work with. Carb has actually been proven to be more powerful in some parts of the power band. My butt dyno could confirm that in some areas haha

      @@KFX_JD I didn't have a 450 but I had a 400ex with cams jets and pipes. Probably some other stuff too I don't remember lol

    What all did you delete in the wire harness for the carb conversion? Is there's anything you have to bypass or anything like that. Im currently doing a carb conversion on my kfx and having issues with getting it running. I already have a procom ecu

      @KFX_JD  Před 8 měsíci

      I deleted everything with the fuel injection. TPS sensor, intake temp sensor, neutral and reverse sensors (less wiring), and inlet air pressure sensor. I only had the fan, coolant temp sensor, frame ground, and coil going past the handlebars.
