Penrith is a market town and civil parish in Westmorland and Furness, Cumbria, England. It is less than 3 miles (5 km) outside the Lake District National Park and about 17 miles (27 km) south of Carlisle. It is between the Rivers Petteril and Eamont and just north of the River Lowther. The town had a population of 15,181 at the 2011 census. It is part of historic Cumberland.
From 1974 to 2015, it was an unparished area with no local council. A civil parish was reintroduced on the 7 May 2015 with the first election for Penrith Town Council. The town was previously part of the 1974-created Eden District until 2023.

That Cheese n onion panini at Olivers Tasty Bites looks absolutely delicious I'm hungry now!
It was very nice, indeed. By that point I had walked just over 4 miles and was looking forward to some food and drink. 😀
The 2 people start and end of the video are amazing folks, and funny
We talked for 5 or 6 minutes and time spent with them was the highlight of my day
Penrith is a lovely place, the locals are friendly folk as well.
I absolutely agree with you 100%. If I could relocate there I would and the sooner the better.
I Love living in Penrith, our school is named after Ullswater lake
I envy you, I really do 🙂
Omg!
I love the banjo lady🥰
Me too she was great. I spoke to her for about 10 minutes. She goes busking all over the place, often up in the Highlands of Scotland 😀. I hope you are well Mark.
@@lukehoneythunder Yes mate I'm well, just thanks, just fecked off with the "weather" and you?
@@markbrown1089 Weather is mental, it's pissed down just about every day this month (July) and looking at the long range weather forcast I see nowt but rain every day for the next couple of weeks. 😡
Funny enough I was in Penrith myself last Wednesday, shame I never seen you.
Maybe next time huh, that would be nice.
Nice video Luke. You walk a canny few miles mate
My Fitbit says I average 18,000 steps per day however on this day I clocked up 23,982 steps which isn't too bad.
Kendal Mint Cake is an acquired taste that is worth acquiring in my opinion.
I absolutely love Kendal Mint Cake and lucky for me they sell it in my local Newsagents shop 😃
Crazy ..hahaha!
I've only been to Penrith once and that was to visit the hospital to get a big gash on my arm cleaned and sewn up. They have good gas and air.
Ha hahahaha . . . ye never went over the bars on your bike did you? Daft bugger.
"Gas and air". isn't that what they give women when they are in labour? 😀
@@lukehoneythunder front wheel washed out, made a mess of my elbow. Yep, same stuff they give pregnant women, don't knock it till you've tried it 😂😂
The 2 people at the beginning and again at the end, do you know them? 😀
No First, one and only time i've ever seen them. They are real characters and lovely people . . . . . and it was my pleasure to meet them.
