Joan, Lita, Jackie and Sandy were excellent musicians and Cherie commanded the stage like few others and was a fine singer. Hard to fathom how these girls did not become huge stars 🤔. This live version of QON is incredible! The tightness of the band, the harmonies, the attitude, and the swagger and stage antics of Cherie are mesmerizing. One of the best live performances I have ever seen by any band!

When the Live in Japan lp came out (Japan and Canada only domestic release) I remember playing it and realizing the Runaways had become a genuine formidable metal force, loud as a bag of hammers and attitude to spare. Can't argue with live, classic shit.

I only recently have learned a lot more about them and see (and hear) how good they really were. Runaways and Fanny deserve the credit and recognition that has not been given to them!

Lita was super confident and hungry, Sandy was a beast on the drums, Joan had her stage persona down pat, Cherie was a commanding front woman...Jackie is imposing with height. They looked like the best band in the world here!

No. Joan doesn't want to do a reunion. Lita and Cherie are very open to it and I think Jackie would do it as well. Joan is upset with LIta over something so she won't do a Runaways reunion.

And the song "Neon Angels On The Road To Ruin" is pure power. Joan made it clear to never be in a band with women again. So very true...the sisterhood only works on a superficial, supportive or social level, but never on a professional level. Lita owns the stage here and is the alpha female. Even though it is Joan's band, at this point she never truly looks confident to take centre stage and the others look more at ease. Joan made sure she was in control with the Blackhearts, and the reason the Runaways will never reform even for an anniversary gig.
You know every once in awhile when I wont to get a little fired up I like to check out old rock icon when they were in their younger years thees wemon lift everything out on that stage there hearts and souls and they all worked there as sis off but they had to put up with the bull at a young age they always will be number one female rock band of all time
