I know Kronii's feeling of seeing how her chances made her able to play the role despite other candidates being as suitable as her. It's comprehensible that she feels like there could have been other even better versions of herself because I'm sure many talented girls auditioned for the same role, but what is also fair is the audience she honed in to appraise her for the amazing Kronii she has given to us. I honestly can't imagine a better or even close in quality alternative version of Kronii. She delivers a magnifique narcissistic, prideful warden and her natural kindness and compassion (plus her sweet adorable side) clash to create a perfect gap that is charming and endearing.
And I don't believe that would've been possible without OURo Kronii. I also love the fact that she loves memes and puns as much, really adds a lot of playfulness and sarcasm to her persona and her voice acting is top notch.
Thanks for existing Kronii because at the end of the day you, and not any other person that auditioned for the role was picked. Thank you kindly for all the hopes You've lifted with your kindness and your shrewd sense of comedy, cool and cute.

I cannot imaging a Kronii with great natural voice such as this one we have now, I can tell she's holding back something for her intended role, but she's the best one, sure her nerves is still inside her, we'll await for her full potential when she gets more confident.

It's kinda nuts to think about that. Like, when they audition and stuff, they have a set of premade characters they want to fill in, so if this Kronii didn't get in, we would see the same model, the same animations, but with an entirely different person behind it. I honestly can't imagine Kronii not being Kronii, but she would still be Kronii cause even the name was premade lol.
dang they have premade characters? I always thought it would be easier to hire first and make character models based off their personality.
@@CurryNearMe iirc they do have pre made ones but most of the talents are given a model after theyre hired. They ultimately dont have control over their models tho, except for little suggestions here and there (like Ina not wanting boing and Gura wanting an ahoge).

Agree with her completely; she's not underselling or downplaying herself, she's just being realistic. The fact is that there are 1,200+ applications for each of the 5 slots of a generation. To try and say that the 1,199 others wouldn't be enjoyable is just being dishonest. Over time, we grow to associate the voice and personality with the model, and she's right, we would have done it with Kronii even if it was a different person behind the model. Yes, it wouldn't be THE Kronii we know and love, but it would have been a highly talented individual whom we and others would enjoy greatly.
For example sake, let's say any of them auditioned for Gen 1, but didn't get in. They then auditioned for Gen 2 and did get in. We'd be none the wiser that the Time Warden might have been a Shark if the dice landed just slightly different. Hell, we know that Kiara and Calli talked about wanting to be each others models in the beginning. Of course we can't see them that way today; they've established themselves as who they are over time. We can't really un-see the people we've grown to appreciate over time, but if they had switched before their debut streams we'd all sit here today going "Hmm, no Calli, I can't see you as a reaper!"

I mean she's right. There could've been a world where we would have had a different Kronii and we would still love that different Kronii. Although different Kronii would probably have appealed to different people and have a different core audience. It's an interesting thought. That being said we all love Kronii and we're more than happy that she was chosen.
I probably wouldn't have experienced that "click!" with another Kronii than I did OUR Kronii. Literally just heard her speak during debut and I knew then and there that I like her, and continue to like her more and more with time spent on her streams. That's why she's my oshi.
Exactly, it could had been another Kronii, but I really love this one, I don't think I would feel the same with another Kronii, I mean I like and respect every single hololive vtuber, but this Kronii is special.
I think thats the best attitude to approach it. According to the form they have, it can take up to a whole month before they even respond, if they respond at all. Thats plenty of time to go insane with anticipation if you do in fact have expectations.
I'd liken it to the anticipation of applying for a university and waiting for their response. Even when I knew I defo had the grades, there's just so much time to wait that there's plenty of time for doubt to build.
I think Kronii's just trying to say is, there's always someone better than her at doing the Kronii role (if she didn't pass the auditions), but no one of course is better than Kronii at doing what she's doing (being herself I mean). Ah, I'm thankful yagoat chose the right person~

She's right in the sense that there would be another person behind Kronii, and people would love that Kronii too, but I'm not sure if they could have done better honestly.
She got chosen from management to fit the role, the viewers love her and her antics, she's funny and so much more. She also has the most subscribers from among the Holo Council members. I know people don't like these comparisons, but I just wanted to say with that that she clearly does things right, and I'm glad we got to know her that way, people that might have never encountered her otherwise.

I like this timeline's Kronii, she has such a specific vibe and personality that make her perfect just the way she is. I'm sure other timelines' versions of Kronii are amazing as well but I'm happy with this timeline.

Here's how I see it: No one knows what another version of Kronii could've been like. They can either 'imagine' it not wouldn't be the same or maybe even better, but no one can ever know it. The reality is that she *is* the Kronii we watch, love, and laugh with. A different version will have a different appeal, but can never be uniquely equal as our Kronster
We alway say the same thing to the other talents, like “thanks for joining Hololive,” or “it couldn’t have been anyone else but you.” But that’s because we mean it.
I like Kronii not for the character when it's all put together, but for the soul behind her. Talented as any of the replacements may have been, I could never love them the same.

I honestly can't imagine being here if someone else were "Kronii." Hell, she's the reason I even started looking into Council to begin with as her debut AND THAT VOICE captivated me. Then through her interactions with the others I started to get into their content to the point that now I follow all of Holo EN whereas before Kronii I think I only followed Gura, Ina and Kiara.

I tried to be as objective as I can but the one that made me think is only a parallel world where Haachama is Hoshikawa and Hoshikawa is Haachama. I just can't imagine someone else to voice out any Hololive talents.

No no, she's got a point. Imagine that timeline. Alternate Kronii would be excellent. It's sad for us because we know OURo Kronii, but for alternate Kronies wouldn't, because they would not know anything better. Nerrevtheless, I'm so glad we got the steins gate timeline
Same goes for Calli. She auditioned for the lols and didn't expect to get accepted. That's why watching her is so entertaining because the whole scene is so new to her plus every game she touched was her first since she was a casual gamer.
She does have a point though. In another timeline where a different VA got to be Kronii, we would be just as invested in that other Kronii in the same way as we are to the current one. It's not really underselling.
Most peeple fall into rabbit hole because of Korone or Gura but Kronii is the one who brought me here.

Honestly, with how hard Hololive does with their auditions. I think there really won't be another Kronii. Since Hololive did scrap character models before because they couldn't find anyone that would fit the characters.
Funny you should mention scrapped character models, because Kronii herself seems to have been a case of that for a while. Her concept illustration by WADARCO is dated to _2016_
To put that into perspective, Hololive's very first talent Tokino Sora debuted in 2017

To be honest? Character aside, the model looks and feels BUILT ON HER, there's no way anyone else would be better than her as Ouro Kronii, no shot
To kinda add context (I was half lurking while this was going live), I remember her talking about how some of the Supas were selling themselves short regarding their contributions to the birthday efforts, and that she was gracious about any amount of effort they offered. So talking about this was kinda chat’s way of returning the favor haha.
But yeah, this is why I think lots of us are Kromies. Within the bit about being perfection is someone very relatable, at least to me: someone who did have doubts but tried anyway. Someone who undersells themselves yet is so unaware of the impact they can have.

She probably does acting judging by her response to the idea of auditioning. One of the things my sister learned pretty early on in acting is that auditions aren’t just up to your talent. They are looking for somebody in particular, and if you don’t fit it, it isn’t worth getting upset or thinking you’re bad.
It’s called type casting and it isn’t about talent. She gets that. So I think she probably had some kind of background with acting.
This Kronii is the Kronii we got, and we like her the way she is.
Good looking is everywhere, but only few interesting inside.

I do get what she means. If there was a different Kronii, I'm sure a lot of other people would like that person too. But I, in particular, and a lot of other Kronies like the Kronii that we have now. Saying the same people who like Kronii now would still like a different Kronii kinda gives off the impression that we like her just because of her looks or the fact that she's in Hololive which is far from the truth. We like this Kronii because of all the things that make her Kronii outside of what Hololive gave her. Imagining any of the HoloEn girls being replaced by a different version of themselves hurts my heart, man. Sure she says I'd like any other Kronii but she's the reason I got really into Vtubers as I was pretty skeptical at first and was looking for something very specific so if she was anyone else I doubt that I'd be watching her. Funnily enough she really was the perfect choice.
