As a black American, I don't see this as pandering. Too many in our community do not see what this administration has done for everyone, which our community benefits greatly from (student loan debt relief, support for HBCUs, it's work toward free community college for all recent high school grads, more tech. jobs due to the Chips Act, etc.). Too many young black people believe Donald Trump was responsible for stimulus checks and that voting for him will get them more of that. We need President Biden and his administration out there where the people actually are to get the message across. If the people aren't coming to hear the message, bring the message to the people.

You will gladly criticize his handling of the Afghanistan departure even though he did not create the timeline or the mandate to leave.... Prior presidents never made an action plan to disengage from Afghanistan and Trump put the deadline in place to extract. Likewise with the Iran nuclear war agreement that Trump ended and created this situation where we are now potentially at war with Iran. Yet even though our relationship with our allies were pushed to the limits under Trump's insults and reversal of long-term accords, Biden's singular influence with renewing that alliance and stopping the destructive attacks by Russia and a world war, by regaining the trust of our allies as President of the United States and establishing the US as a strong and forceful leader on the world stage. Trump will give Russia a blank check and a welcome mat to invade Europe. And while you're at it, look at the difference between the indictments of cabinet members and White House staff between the former president and the current president.
And you and the other CNN talking heads fail to mention the 300 some odd lies that Trump told during the debate.
And that the American people are poised to elect a convicted felon, sexual predator, convicted fraudster, and an insurrectionist WHO will implement the Project 2025 and forever change the power of the Supreme Court to roll back every precedent of human rights and environmental protection We have fought for 40 years to implement in our courts,, and all the checks and balances of a three branches of government, if they choose to not vote for Biden, or vote for a third party candidate. Do you really want to be the voice that influenced many Americans to not vote because they feel good about their double hating the candidates? Do you really want to be the voice of black Americans to vote against their own personal interest because you feel you can get more clicks and more ratings by being critical of the sitting president? There is an element of the American population that will forever continue to be influenced by the propaganda that Fox puts out.
Is very disheartening to see CNN, and YOU, notmally a seeker of truth and transparency in government, now trying to go after that same audience rather than the intelligent independent voter wanting to elect the best candidate to do the job of the American people.
Quit trying to think you're going to get more ratings by criticizing Biden.
It's old. It's offensive. And it works against our efforts to save our democracy and that should be your calling...

The reason I say they're "not liberal," is that they covered the Republican primaries ad nauseam and even rewarded Vivek Ramaswamy with his own CNN, televised town hall, when he was only polling at 4%. However, Biden's Dem challengers never received even a mention when they (Williamson at 11% and Phillips at 9%) were polling higher on the Dem side.
