    I’m travelling on the sleeper and I’m in a wheelchair so this is a great help

    Some of the Customer Lounges on the Caledonian Sleeper routes - such as Leuchars for St. Andrews - allow access by passengers travelling in the Seated Coach whilst others - such as Fort William for Ben Nevis - apparently don't. It must be very confusing for visitors from abroad who don't speak English as a native language.

    • @StephWeller
      @StephWeller  Před 4 lety

      Thank you for sharing this information as I wasn't aware that passengers in the seated coach could access any of the lounges. Certainly makes for a very confusing situation!

      @@StephWeller - There's a list on the CS web site (SleeperScot) of which lounges can be accessed by which ticket holders. I suspect that much depends upon the size of the lounge in question and who its clients are. For example, lots of St. Andrews University students travel to and from Leuchars in the Seated Coach, so they are allowed into the lounge!

    Great review Steph.....but you didn't let us know where in Scotland you were travelling to! The Fort William sleeper has some wonderful morning views from the window, even in November.

      Thank you so much! I was travelling to Inverness, did say on the blog but didn't realise I hadn't mentioned it in the video review! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

    Forgive me , but how did you get your baggage on the train . I use a small scooter and would like to use trains but I am worried about carrying too much !

    Great video. Did they make you pay extra for breakfast? I thought that was included with the Double Rooms? 🤔

    • @StephWeller
      @StephWeller  Před 4 lety +3

      No, I didn't pay extra, breakfast was included. 🙂

    Would you say if your are traveling with an assistance dog would the double accessibility room be the best? Also is more expensive for the double accessibility room than the twin accessibility room? What would you say the easier way to book the accessibility room and special assistance as person with hearing impairment and an learning disability. Sorry for the all the questions thank you for sharing accessibility on CZcams. ☺️

    • @StephWeller
      @StephWeller  Před 3 lety +1

      I'm not sure on pricing, but the double accessible definitely has more room than the twin accessible. Glad you enjoyed the video! 💕

    Nice insight did you find the new trains noisy they sound bad??

    • @StephWeller
      @StephWeller  Před 4 lety +2

      I did find it noisy to begin with, but once I put the earplugs that were provided in the sleep kit in the noise didn't disturb me :)

    • @DaveSuperThomas
      @DaveSuperThomas Před 4 lety

      @@StephWeller - It helps if you sleep with ear plugs in for a few days before you make your Caledonian Sleeper journey, just to get used to the feel of having a large lump of foam rubber rammed down your hearing canal!

    What whiskey do you drink?

    Hey, I was thinking of surprising my daughter and her partner with a trip to London for her 21st, and was going to get the double sleeper for her on way back for cherry on top.
    Is it worth the cash?

    • @StephWeller
      @StephWeller  Před 4 lety +1

      If she's been on the sleeper before, then I'd say definitely book the double room! I think for special occasions or as a treat, it's definitely worth the cash if you want to travel to/from Scotland on the sleeper.

    Do the staff give you the key card ?

    • @StephWeller

      The keycard is in your room when you enter it

    What is the one whisky that you drink while in Scotland?? I was curious!

    • @StephWeller
      @StephWeller  Před 3 lety +1

      Not the biggest fan of whisky, however, Strathisla is a great Speyside option!
