He basically explained telegraphing your punch. (At least that’s what I think it’s called). It’s basically where your body language allows your opponent to read your punches.
nah its because he didn't have side movement. straight forward the eye can't judge movement. that's why it looks like cars coming towards ytou are driving slow.
I'm sure it's got more to do with your body's natural reaction to move from fast objects coming towards you, were as the last slow one doesn't make you body react.
For those who do not understand the concept, circular motions no matter how fast they are, you see them coming, and when you add the shoulder movement and stuff, you see everything coming. But the last punch had no telegraph at all, simply moving the arm in a straight line and nothing else so you just do not see it coming until it is too late

for anybody wondering, the whole exercise is to show that if you can learn to punch by firing the shot straight forward, and not back at all, you can still hit your opponent even when you use considerably less speed. he exaggerates the pull back on the first two, but for the last drives it straight forward . old school boxing coaches will tell you all day that to generate real power, accuracy and snap you need to fire shots straight forward (shots powered by the legs and back) without pulling back your hands.
He knows where the hand will go if it dodges left or right...thats what the first two attempts are...now he knows where the dodged hand will be ... one or two...first or second attempt...
I’m pretty sure he’s showing that it’s not about speed, it’s about not letting your opponent read you. The first 2 jabs, he flexed his body and kind of leaned in showing in the split second he’s throwing the punch, but on the 3rd he didn’t flex a muscle. He stayed still but eased his arm forward.
