I watch sixth video about that navigation and everybody shows some useless options you never use in navigation and nobody shows the way you navigate the track, follow route etc. I don't get it. I want to see if it's clear how the navigation shows close area when navigating etc is it clear when you should turn especially in the offroad

I had the original 276c and liked the big screen but hated the tedious keyboard entry. The other big improvement with the CX is the use of modern SD cards. The old 276c used primitive cards up to 512Mb, which rendered it useless for modern maps. The keyboard is still a bit slow but takes the same time as my Montana 650 as it has constant faults ie touch screen is incredibly frustrating, turns off for no reason, jumps from portrait to landscape mode, battery comes loose. The CX has the best screen around and is easy to read. One tip, best to mount it on RAM 25mm ball mounts due to its size

You still liking this unit 4 years later? Is that temp reading device accurate, still using your original one?

Yes it is still going strong. The Tempe sensor is accurate when I am moving. Because it is mounted to the bars, it gets some radiator heat when sitting. I change the battery in the Tempe sensor once a year.
I have looked at the newer modes of navigation using a Samsung tablet but until this devices fails I’m sticking with it.

I'm looking at buying this GPS for the same purpose your using it for. Currently I'm using a Garmin 64st. On my bikes. Now what did you down load or buy to do the routes with? Like the BDR routes and such. The one I'm looking at is 700.00 on Cabela's. Since I have near enough points to buy it. Good video..Thanks hope to see you on the trail some day..

thank you so much for the helpful informations. I was wondering if you could help me with that, I just bought a 276cx and i could not and am having some difficulties with the track field. i would like the unit only shows me the map, without recording, without showing the track log on the scream. When i select STOP, it still shows the track log. Any idea how to solve that as i can do this with the 64st for example. I look forward to hearing from you. Best

You know this bothers me too. I think these are the steps, but I have yet to try it. Menu> Setup> Tracks> Trip Recording> When Tracking

Great unit but has many issues. I bought one for my side-by-side and ATV. I'm not sure whats going on at Garmin as far as firmware upgrades are concerned. It's clearly not on the priority list for upgrades. The live weather maps function never worked for me. The option to 'pair the unit' to bluetooth won't work anymore. It boots up and mostly immediately shuts down. Redraw rate is very slow with some detailed maps. On the plus side it has an amazing screen. It's super bright and it's high resolution. Considering it's high price it should work flawlessly but it's doesn't. I think I paid $700 CDN. for the unit a few years back.
I had a Garmin Montana 600. That was a great unit but developed a screen hardware issue which Garmin admits and are only offering free replacement units.......for Americans. Yeah, I'm bitter. I had another touch screen Garmin which also developed issues as well. Garmin hasn't seemed to master the touch screen yet. Not sure why.

Turbo TDI thanks for sharing your experience. I have read about some issues with firmware that you described. After over a year of use I have not had any issues. It may be a unit to unit quality control issue. I agree that the weather option is a little useless. You have to go to the weather specific map in the settings to see the radar. It does not display on the navigation screen. Also my thought is that if it has to be paired with a phone, it’s just easier to check the radar on my phone. No cell service, no weather on GPS. My biggest 3 pros are: screen size, waterproof rating, and buttons.
