Stanley Tucci is gold. I enjoy him in every movie.
He creeps the hell out of me in "lovely bones"
K V. L. Same
@@kv.l.8736 omg I'm such a bad fan, I never realized it was him! He is very creepy, but I guess that is just testament of how good an actor he is. Five gold stars to him.
I think he won an emmy for monk didn't he? I'm pretty sure he did.
The man has major range
"Even when a man and a woman love each other like your mother and i USED to."
XD
no.
all while pretending to smoke with a string bean lol
@strawberry_shortcake4life They're making a sarcastic comment about a loveless broken family and marriage while they are actually pretty close together even with an adopted child. It's just oxymoronic humor.
lol
If my marriage isn’t like this I don’t want it
well It won't be. It is a movie. They don't show the boring shit that drains out the life of any marriage they just show the awesome sides.. OR you stop wishing to have a life like in a film. That could be a start.
Well you may never get marriage
I'm pretty sure Anny Jones means that it's good to strive for a marriage like this, but not to expect that it doesn't come without cost and compromise.
@akida Happiness does exist. But what you saw in that clip wasn't "happiness". It was scene that was written by a team of writers who specifically wanted to invoke a sense that their marriage is perfect in the most concise way possible.
Don't confuse "life" with "hollywood". You are quickly going to be disappointed.
@akida some people are just miserable and pessimist. With that attitude, they prob won't get a marriage like that
i seriously hope this is what i will be like as a parent
+Sarah Schoepp this IS what i'll be like when i'm a parent
you can adopt me but im like 25
0:37 me too, but mine and my hubby's insides don't cooperate with each other ether, so we have to act this way with our niece and nephews 😉 lol
it feels fake and forced, if you're like that now then you'll be fine.
It won’t be
At the end of another scene he asks his son 'so where are you from originally?'😂
He makes it sound like the kid is just a friend they invited to live with them. 😆
I was waiting for that part but they didn't include it...
This movie was hilarious!
What’s great about that is his son knows he’s joking with him and smiled at this question
@@TheSabadine i think its good they didn't include it lol
1. Stanley Tucci is amazing. 2. I really hope the "Who told you" bit was improvisation.
I'll be your second reply :)
I'll be your third reply!
I'll be your fourth reply :D
I'll be poopin' on all the previous replies!
2) It really does seem like it, doesn't it? I've always thought /hoped that too. It really seems like Patricia Clarkson is trying not to break when he says that XD XD :)
everyone's talking about Stanley Tucci, but Emma Stone's "only by marriage" response is one of my favorite parts of this scene
Was she his stepdaughter??
she is always good.
@@bikashrai3437 no the joke is je is her real dad and her mom married him and they had her
What does it mean lol
It was a joke which implies that Olive isn't his own child and the "only by marriage"means that she is related by him only because her mother married him.
"WHAT?! OH MY GOD! WHO TOLD YOU?!"
HAHA THIS IS LIKE MY FAVORITE SCENE IN THE MOVIE!
Honestly, i wish the film was about that family. They're GOALS.
I'd watch an entire 9 season show of this. Repeatedly.
@@KuriosRayn Facts.
Omg yes!
@@KuriosRayn what
@@KuriosRayn what a genious idea
Coolest family, ever. ;D
Aleksandra Stojadinović they are spoiled
Actually the Coolest family I saw on screen was if I stay cast 😍😍😍
I wanted to give you a like but then I thought... Better not
Cool family.
I know... This is amazing family dynamic😊😁
“Oooo clever word play I like it you must be related to me”
“Only by marriage” LMFAOOO😭
SarcasMiss no it was just a joke she made I believe but the parents are her biological ones 😂
@@lailariley469 Yeah I think its probably a joke too... although it could be that Tucci is just her step-dad. Maybe Olive's mom had her with another man and he died or they got divorced and he bailed, then Tucci came in. Would make sense actually since Olive was somehow conceived by at least one of them, yet they needed to adopt later in life for a second child.
Ultimately it doesn't really matter.
No. It’s a joke. They’re her biological parents.
It's a joke. It means her parents got married and then had her
@@KS-xk2so Aye just to clarify, the kid isn't their second child tho. If I remember correctly in the earlier scenes Olive said to her friend that she was seeing a guy that goes to college with her brother, so I assume that would technically make Olive the second child and the kid their third, even if they never showed us her older brother.
I want to hug Stanley Tucci and thank him profusely for his contribution to cinema.
The man is acting genius.
One of the few teen movies where the parents are actual characters with personalities and all. Love it.
And not idiots
Stanley tucci is great in this movie. They all have killer chemistry.
tucci gang
But can we talk about how normalized adopting is. How no one questions it or makes a deal about it. How they are treated as a normal family (as normal as they can be). I loved that. How they really did not needed to. Olive could have been an only child and the movie would've not suffered, but they went the extra mile to not only give her an adopted brother, but also never question it or treat him as less of a family member. (The character was obviously secondary, just as the parents, but the movie still could have just make the brother a biological one, and I am glad they didn't)
I'm pretty sure that both of the kids are adopted, but it's been a while since I've seen the movie and I kinda want that to be my head cannon since it normalizes adoption even more.
@@leviswranglers2813 olive is their biological daughter
@@sersastark Nah, Olive's adopted too. "Oh! Clever wordplay. I like it very much you must be related to me." "Only by marriage."
@@LarisseMontrose I think that the Dad is supposed to be her step-father, at least in that context. Could explain why they had to adopt another child.
@@LarisseMontrose The mother also said, "We're a family of late bloomers. I didn't until I was 14, nor did Olive." If both were adopted, the brother could have said, "Why does that matter? We're adopted" not just "I'm adopted."
“ they’re Costco.”...... idk why that part kills me everytime 😂😂😂😂
Cause you had that costco swag and rocked it
All my jeans are Costco XD.
They fit decently, and I can get a bunch.
future family goals
Stanley Tucci is like delish garlic butter on a fresh baked French croissant.
i've found the perfect comment
this comment hit my soul
Loretta Avery I thank you kind lady. ❤️
Adiabadic Muchas Gracias. I’m craving that RN TBH.
Meryl Streep/Julia Child agrees with you!
"im adopted"
"WHO TOLD YOU THAT"
SIR he is literally brown sugar
Brown sugar huh 🤣
You almost made me choke on my broccoli.
😂😂😂
That's the point. It's sarcasm.
Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson have such great chemistry. They seem like they are fun parents in real life.
I remember watching this movie as a teenager and thinking about how cool Olive was. Now rewatching it as a mom has given me a whole new perspective. Man, I wish I could be this kind of parent to my children !!!!
And you absolutely can! Just try to the best you can and go into being a parent with the most open mind as you can (within reason duh.)
Hard to believe this is the same guy that played George Harvey in The Lovely Bones
He is an incredibly versatile actor. He also played in the Hunger Games :D
Patrcicia clarkson too!! As tammy from parks and rec and adora in sharp objects
Dude is a chameleon when it comes to playing roles
he was in the devil wears prada too
Dont forget he was in burlesque too
"WHAT?!? OH MY GOD! WHO TOLD YOU??" LMFAO I love Stanley Tucci!!! Dr Erskien lol
wth, I always thought Richard Shiff played Erskien. Mandela effect
that kid is so cuuuute
Yes, he is.
".....like your mother and I ✨USED TO✨" I crack up every time I watch this scene.
Wow, I never noticed how ripped Stanley Tucci is! The Devil Wears Prada certainly hid that.
You should see him in Shall We Dance? He's an excellent dancer in that.
the thing i love most about this is that the mom and daughter are clearly trying not to laugh and the son is just DONT tm which meakes me think that this is a regular bit the dad does every time
I love the mom's face as the dad goes off
"She is here isn't she?"
-Ron Swanson
TAMMY
I clicked on this video for the sole purpose of finding someone saying Tammy.
Madman883 same, and it appears i have found it
This is my favourite scene in any movie
Just came from "The Lovely Bones" movie and looking Stanley Tucci here playing a normal, funny human being it's so unusual. What a badass actor.
From what I heard, LB was really difficult for him since he was such a despicable monster in that. I'm thinking this and his role in Captain America, which was similarly wholesome, were probably necessary as a way to recover and get the "taste out of his mouth."
So much love for Stanley Tucci.
This movie is hilarious, they joke a lot and give you vague information about the characters here and there lmao. Kudos to everyone who is involved in the making of this comedy masterpiece. It is one of my favorite movies of all time and very dear to my heart, first saw it when I was in middle school, still watch it regularly even now in my 20s. I basically grew up with it. xD
And I still laugh as if it was the first time.
Okay. So Stanley Tucci is giving off major Daddy vibes, and I don’t mean in the patriarchal sense. 😳
You can mean it in the patriarchal sense and it should be fwoiiiinneeee!
I- you know what I noticed that a month ago and I thought I was the only one. 🙈
This movie is underrated as hell
these parents were too cool to take seriously...... but I still loved them XD
“What omg who told you”!? That killed me😂😂
If you don’t love Stanley Tucci you are wrong.
THIS MADE MY DAY.
Tucci, no ego , just good acting. Excellent on every level
"Im never gonna go through puberty" OMGGG I THINK THE SAME THING
Did you hit puberty already?
Ironic, seeing as how Emma Stone has a baby now!
This is the kind of parents I wanna be. I wanna have this marriage and family dynamic.
I just realized that’s Tammy 1 🤣 omg
I love Stanley Tucci, but this is my absolute favorite role for him.
And honestly, between my late husband and Stanley Tucci in this role, any future partner has a LOT to live up to.
Im adopted and this adoption joke is perfection 😂
Greatest parents. It’s a shame the movie wasn’t about them sometimes. Need much more screen time
hahaha and then later in the movie he says to the kid "so where do you originate from"
🤣
Great writing--love this movie.
genuinely a well written scene 😂
I swear to god these 4 had the best lines. Like genuinely everything they said was so clever and funny it was surprising
Best scene ever so real and funny as in a very normal real way 🤣 more of it
Howdy 🤠 You have a cool style my dude
One of the best scenes from this movie
This is the healthiest american family relationship ever. This should be a gold standard
Watching this as a YA, I always ALWAYS wanted this family to be my family!
Stanley Tucci is an amazing actor, he's so sweet and funny here and so scary in the lovely bones
The coolest movie family ever. They're all great, but Tucci is the man!
I officially nominate Stanley Tucci for the Hottest Man Alive award.
Stanley Tucci is so underrated....... Love your work Tucci
I am thankful to have had a foster family like this.
I absolutely adore this movie and their family dynamic.
I could watch this movie every day.
I would have loved it if they added the fact they knew she was upstairs all weekend because of how loud she was singing pocket full of sunshine
Gosh I love this family. If I have any kids I only want to raise them in this kind of environment
✌🏽🤠✌🏽
Its the best scene in the whole movie, honestly.
Stanley Tucci pure gold
I just signed up to wrist mafia without seeing one ad, and the first CZcams video I watch I get and ad for it🤣
OMG! This literally the most perfect family in America.
Is it just me or did they save takes where Emma was legitimately laughing at Stanley's delivery? I'm not complaining, it's just interesting to notice. You'll see her cracking up and then they cut to a close up of her acting her own lines with a much straighter face.
Love the acting here. Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson play a great husband/wife team here. Very convincing too. Emma Stone is fabulous as usual and that kid I dont know his name off the top of my head but he's great too. Easy A = One awesome movie. I cant believe it's been 10 years since thia came out. Omg!! I miss those days. They dont make movies like this anymore.
These parents are how I decided to try to mold my parenting job into
The connection they have with their kids is awesome
All of the lingo in this scene is *perfect*
happy birthday at patricia clarkson for her 64 years from italian boy live in rome and i m fan of this wonderful movie
An excellent pice of entertainment. Any person involved in producing it should be proud. I thank you.
Actually the movie itself is brilliant. I am going back to netflix right now.
I just can't get over how nice that refrigerator is!
The banter in this film was gold.
i watched this movie recently and this is my fav family, myghad theyre so cool. I want my family to be like this
This movie was so amazingly made
Love-her-dad-!
I should hug my family more often because this is exactly what we are like
WHAT WHO TOLD YOU?
LMAO, his reaction is priceless
Stanley Tucci was a delight here!
Tuccington really is a gem and cute too.
I could never been in the same room at Stanley Tucci. Things would happen.
I am SCREAMING i love Stanley Tucci
This was just a great movie with great freaking actors and actresses!!
stanley tucci is the coolest actor alive oh man he made laugh in the movie
Stanley Tucci is one of the few actors who can pull off male pattern baldness. I cannot picture him with hair.
This movie came out at the right time in my life being in high school
The 'Tucc is fantastic in everything he's in! Even if the movie isn't the best, he's still great.
Best scene in the whole movie 😂♥️
Cool glasses 😎🤓
This movie was sooo much better than I thought it would be
I LOVE Stanley Tucci.
i can't convey in words how much i love this scene, every once in a while i remember this and i laugh like an idiot hehe
I come back to this scene every now and then for a laugh.
0:37 "even when a man and a women love each other very much like your mother and i *use to* "
why did i not notice the use to until like the third time watching
Tammy 1 is really nice to this family
I love Stanley Tucci in this
Her parents are so awesome :)
Tammy looks so sweet with her new family
This family dynamic hits different
this is one of my favorite scenes in any movie!
