Pratt & Whitney At Its Finest!!! Glorious Sunset First Class HD 757 Takeoff From Atlanta!!!

- What a perfect sound! Truly fantastic Pratt & Whitney PW2000 engine harmonics captured in this departure as the sun sets over Atlanta Georgia! Look at all those aircraft packed into all those terminals as we rotate from runway 27R! Many flights were delayed this evening due to thunderstorms scattered across the Eastern United States! In addition this aircraft was further delayed by a medical emergency just as we were about to push back from the gate! Luckily the gentleman was removed from the aircraft without incident and re-booked on a later flight! I had attempted to block out the reading light of the person sitting behind me by placing a pillow between my seat and the wall but the pillow fell down about halfway down the runway as you can tell! I was able to stick the blanket in between the seat and the wall as I was filming as you can see the light disappear as we climb out of the Atlanta area! I love the look of those winglets! Gorgeous time of day for filming! Excellent service on board complete with Personal TV and snack baskets! This aircraft was a former Song airplane in the mid-2000's! Filmed from the First Class cabin on board Delta Airlines! Flight 1730 to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. 7/14/14.

I can be having the worst day you could imagine... But hearing this would still make me smile.
I work for Boeing and started out on the 757 assembly line. It was a beautiful airplane and I wish we still made it. Pilots seem to love it.
It's my favorite.
I talked to a first officer at Delta and he said the 757 is a great aircraft to fly. A shame they’re no longer in production.
Such a smooth buzz-saw sound, love it! Great recording!
Glad you liked it so much! I got lucky on this one! Thank you for your comment!
Pw2000 is one of my favorite engines
Mine too! Glad you liked the video!
Mesmerizing sound of 757 can not resist :D
Glad you liked it so much! I think it's great too! Thank you for taking the time to comment!

Great, top sound during take off phase. Nice video, huge.... I liked...
My (very close) 2nd favorite airline! I've always loved their 757's
Yeah, they seem to fly their 757s almost anywhere!
I just love that sound. Awesome video!
Me too! The PW2000 can sound incredible at the right thrust setting! I got lucky!
The engine auto-throttle and the sound of the racing wind past the fuselage are mesmerizing - That, a cocktail, and a pillow would be enough to put most people to sleep. But then I'd miss the opportunity to land this siren myself in the event of an emergency. What a poetic video... lighting and all. Thank you !
Glad you liked the sound! I think it's amazing as well! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
The 757 is a true beast!
The 757 is my favorite airplane! Whether it's Pratt & Whitney or Rolls Royce, the sounds are just incredible!
Busdriver139 Agreed!
Amazing sound, beautiful views!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for the comment!
Taking off from my favorite airport in my favorite plane.
Glad you liked it so much! Atlanta is a pretty decent airport!
Indeed awesome takeoff what a beautiful view and engine sound ! great video man!!
Glad you liked it so much! The engine sound is incredible! Thank you for your comment!
My 3rd favorite plane. It's a beauty.
Yeah, it's awesome!
Absolutely beautiful sound, thank you for sharing
Another great video...I love how you're always able to get high quality audio of the engines, esp. on takeoff!
I do what I can to capture the on board experience! Glad you liked the video! Thank you for your comments once again!
Wow amazing sound. So many different sounds, all of which add to that sense of sheer power.
It's one of the best engines ever built! Glad you liked it too! Thanks for your comment!
Amazing! That sound is indeed pleasurable;) Perfect! And by the way, Row 3 seat 3A was a perfect seat;) liked!!
Thank you so much! Glad you got an awesome seat on your trip!
I never heard a PW2000 sound so beautiful ❤️🥺💫
Delta at ATL has 807 mainline flights & 206 commuter flights total 1013 flights
Loving the sound man!!
Thanks! Glad you liked it so much!
The most beautiful spool ever!
Glad you liked it!
Great video!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Well, the PW's aren't my favourite engines, but this one sounds great! Thanks for uploading!
Glad you liked the engine sound this time around! Thanks for commenting!
Awesome takeoff!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for commenting!
No problem! So why do you fly often? Job?
Mostly leisure! This trip was from a wedding I went to in July!
RR will always be # 1 for me, but this PW sound is incredible!
I think they're both great engines! It's hard for me to choose which I like best! Glad you liked the video!
Good sound, beautiful airport.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the comment!
One of the thing I like about these engines is you can sit behind the wing and still be able to hear this sound although not as clear.
Yes, it's a bit more muffled behind the engine!
Breathtaking sound! Liked a lot! :D
Glad you liked it so much! Thank you for your continuous support to the channel!
Very nice video bud! Those engines make one hell of a sound :D
They most certainly do! Glad you liked the video! Your comment is much appreciated!
absolutely fantastic! Great Job! :)
It's one of my favorites as well! Glad you liked the video! Thank you for all your comments today!
Awesome video. Winglets make 757s look better. I hear the 757-300s will get winglets, when they do, they will look better. I like the 757, i'm glad delta is keeping the younger ones
It's a great aircraft and I hope it continues to fly for a long time! Glad you liked the video so much! I appreciate the comment as always!
Great sounds! Congrats on reaching 5K subscribers.........it's very well deserved in this subscriber's opinion!
Really glad you like the sound! It took a while but I finally reached 5K! I really appreciate all the support from you and from the rest of my subscribers!
I love the sounds of jet engines. I live near MCO. I sit outside and listen to take offs and landings all the time. During 9/11.....it was eerie to not hear or see them..........
I like Orlando's airport! I remember taking the elevator to the top of the parking garage with my scanner and watching all the planes takeoff and land!
BIG like!
Thank you so much!
One of your finest video's mate!!:D Sensational work my friend:)
Thank you! Glad you liked it so much!
Super Video!! 757
Glad you liked the video so much! The 757 is awesome!
It kinda sounds like a CFM-equipped A320!
Gonna use the spool up for my producer tag
Nice! Awesome catching that 747 as ya'll were speeding down the runway. Not sure if you noticed it, but I did. Looked like a British Airways bird, a little hard to tell from the cell phone view. I know BA & LH both fly in & out of ATL.
It was actually Air France! Glad you liked the video! Thanks for the comment!
I've never been on a PW-engined aircraft,let alone a 757.But the DELIVER!
They can deliver quite the acoustic experience! I truly enjoy both engines on the 757!
***** Yeah,same!
This airplane is 26 years old and still pumping iron! WOW!
+Monica Miyake (PenguinvilleRescue1) It's a great aircraft! Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the comment!
+Monica Miyake (PenguinvilleRescue1) This plane is in storage now sorry to say. But it may fly again. Delta parks their planes in storage at a desert airport in Arizona and won't let you take any pictures of them.
Wow great video.
Thanks! I appreciate your comment and your support to the channel!

Epic C-Pitched buzzsaw!
Yes great engine sound. The PW2000 is an outstanding engine for power and is reliable. Pratt and Whitney has fallen out of favor with many models of airplanes after years of being number one. Indeed back in the piston engine days P&W powered the lion's share of airliners. I use to fly regularly on Piedmont in the 1960's and their Martin 404's which were bought used from TWA and Eastern and they had Pratt & Whitney RB2800-CB16 engines. At night a stream of fire was always shooting out the exhaust. But I recently read the Pratt and Whitney's new geared turbofan engines were selected with Rolls Royce for the Airbus 320 new engine option and half of orders are Pratt so far. The new RR and P&W on the new Airbus A320 has much improved fuel economy which is what airlines are screaming for now And this engine was selected as the exclusive engine on another model but right now can't remember which. Of course the current Airbus A320 has the IAE engine as an option and much of it is built by Pratt.
Rolls Royce does not offer an engine on the A320neo. Only P&W and CFM do. The PW1000 will be a successful engine and is Airbuses advantage over the 737max which only gets CFM.
Julio Romeresto Thank you for correcting me. I knew it was the CFM Leap but typed RR for some reason. I think I read P&W wasn't invited by Boeing for the 737max because the P&W Purepower won't clear the ground as the 737 sits closer to the runway. And I'm reading P&W is keen to get an engine on the upgrade of the 757 if Boeing does it as P&W withdrew from developing an alternative to CFM on the 737 300, 400, thinking it would be exclusive power on the new 757 years ago but RR was invited in and got most of the 757 orders. P&W powered the early 737's coming out in the late 1960's. P&W use to have the lions share of the jet engine market in commercial aircraft but now is holding about 26%. They lost the 737 when the 300 came out. Didn't get the Boeing 777 300ER and a number of other more recent aircraft. Now I understand Delta airlines is avoiding P&W due to a dispute over their relationship with P&W going sour on P&W rebuilding spare engine parts. Delta wanted P&W to take additional parts not part of the original contract and P&W refused resulting in a law suite and Delta announcing they will not order new planes with a P&W engine.
I flew on an Airbuss A320. It must have had the P&W engines. They made the exact sound as the engines on this plane. Best sounding engines in my opinion.

I like the PW2000 but a 757 just isnt a 757 without RB211 engines, that is what makes them recognisable to the ear both inside and out , the same with the 767 with it's CF6. Nice video though ! And liking those winglets !
Glad you liked the video and the winglets! I understand where you're coming from in regard to the RB211 engines being very recognizable! Thank you for your comment good sir!
We'll see I'm the opposite. I prefer the PW2000 on this and the RB211 on the 767 which oddly enough sounds similar to the PW2000. But the RB on the 757 no doubt is a great engine.
This is amazing!! *****
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Sometime in the future, Boeing might release newer versions of these aircraft, let us hope that you will still post these videos sometime when they're released!
Currently, Boeing has yet to announce any sort of replacement program for the 757! Airbus just announced the A321NEOLR, which will have the range to replace the 757!
@@mah584jr the 797, look it up. It isn't being built yet though
LOUD PW ENGINES!!! GREAT SOUND!!!
Yeah, this is one of my favorites!
PTV 75's have the best sound in the fleet!
If the rest are like this, then I agree!
Delivery date: May 1989...??! Another video of yours had a delivery date for a different Delta 757 of 1991. I've gotta admit, I'm really surprised how old the Delta fleet of planes are. They must be one of the oldest fleets in all of aviation.
Great video, as always. Love your enthusiasm!! You remind me... of me! lol.
Yeah, it's still a great aircraft even if it is a bit old! Delta definitely does have an older fleet but they maintain their jets very nicely! Glad you liked the video! Thanks for the compliments and the comment!
The Pw2000 sounds beefy compared to the RR
This summer ATL has 804 mainline flights a day
Do you know 757's were not built to fly transatlantic?
Not originally, but they do it all the time now!
when all retired boeing 757 all world
It's good, but it's not quite a 535...
The RR is also excellent!
It's the best ;)
