- Colourful and delicious, this jello dessert is a bit time consuming to make but very appealing to the eye. * Please READ THE DESCRIPTION BOX for important recipe information omitted in the video, click on show more**
I suppose you could also call this stained glass window jello too, don't you think?
Found this on a website here:
justjennrecipes.com/broken-gla...
6 packages jello powder (3 oz packages/ 85g) (or whatever colours and flavours you want to use.
Boiling water
2 envelopes unflavoured gelatin ( 1/2 oz total or 14 g)
1 can sweetened condensed milk (10 to 14 oz)
If you can't find sweetened condensed milk, you can make your own.
allrecipes.com/recipe/homemade...
Blend one cup of boiling water with one packet of jello powder in a small container and stir until powder is dissolved. Repeat for the other 5 colours of jello.
Place the 6 containers of jello in the refrigerator and chill until firmly set.
Unmold the jello by dipping the bottom of the container with the set jello in a larger container of hot water for a few seconds. Invert the container and gently pry the edges of the jello away from the sides of the container allowing air to get in between. The jello piece should come out easily, if it doesn't dip the container again.
Cut the jello into small cubes.
Sprinkle the jello cubes evenly into the bottom of a 13"x 9" pan.
In a bowl blend together 2 cups of boiling water and 2 envelopes of gelatin. Stir until dissolved.
***LET THIS MIXTURE COOL UNTIL IT IS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE*** Forgot to mention this in the video :(
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and pour over the jello pieces.
Refrigerate the pan for several hours until chilled and set.
Cut into squares and serve :) - Jak na to + styl
****You must make sure the white mixture is at room temperature before pouring it over the jello cubes otherwise they will melt! Forgot to mention this in video*****
Do you let it gelatin mix come to room temperature THEN add the sweetened condensed milk? Or mix the two, then let it come to room temperature?
@@emmaly4795 mix them and then let cool to room temp
i dug so deep down into the internet to find this - i used to watch this channel 24/7
SAME! I accidentally clicked on one of their videos, and was shocked when I heard the theme song! Brought back so many great memories.
Love your recipe. I made this 10 years ago for my baby shower . I'm making it again for my son's 10 th birthday today. He loves this jello. Thank you for sharing
I also put it in the description box so that when you read it to get the recipe, you will see it there
Aww yessss. My aunt made this for every single party our family had and it was always my favorite. Mexican desserts are so sweet
I tried this recipe, my family and I loved it! Thank you! I've tried the other recipes with vanilla, and the ones with sweet condensed creamer, evaporated milk, and half cream, but they just don't taste as clean and flavorful as your recipe. They have a thicker, heavier taste. Great job!
I realized that the audio was way too quiet, I had to fix it and I a re-uploading it.
I recently stubbled across your videos and I LOVE THEM! My husband and I have been dying to make the rainbow jello and always thought it was going to be so difficult. After watching your videos I know its completely doable! Thank you!
Because of this video; its now a regular fun dessert at my home!! :)
She's such a great cook!
Looks good! I am from Newfoundland and we have a similar dish called cut glass cookies. The difference is there's graham crumbs on the bottom and the jello cubes are binded with dairy whip
I remember watching this video when I was so young! Brings back good memories, specially the intro
Looks like a fun desert.
I love how you said
"Don't forget to give this video a thumbs up. It makes me happy." :3
at the end.
I thought that was adorable! ^ w ^
My mom makes this very often and it so good 😍 literally one of my favorite desserts.
this is one of my favorite deserts of all time !! it was very easy, simple and fantastic explanation on how to video ! thank you so much ! i loved it !!!
we call it cathedral window yea tastes so good!
We make this jello but when i make the white jello i mix 1 can condensed milk, 1 can evaporated milk, 1 can media leche, 1 pkg of cream cheese and a tsp vanilla in the blender with the unflavored jello. Tastes delicious!!
Anna Martin...Your version sounds delicious. Can you tell me the measurements? Is it 8oz cream cheese? what's the measurement for the unflavored jello? Thanks in advance.
Nweisha Ng My recipe for the white gelatin is very similar but it omit the cream cheese . I use
1 can 12oz evaporated milk
1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
12 oz of water
1 can’t think it’s 10 oz Nestle table cream
4 envelopes unflavored gelatin. I heat up the evaporated milk and water then put it in a blender as the blender is running I add the sweetened condensed milk , cream and slowly add the gelatin. When dissolved I pour it into a large pan ( by large I mean turkey roaster or lasagna casserole ). Then I add my Jello cut into small cubes and made with half of the water recommended on the box . I use 6 - 6 oz box of Jello in flavors Strawberry or Raspberry for red , Peach for pinkish , Pineapple or lemon for yellow , Grape for purple, Blue berry for blue , and Lime for green . I add the Jello I do the cream mixture first to the pan then I quickly put the Jello squares to the mix because it starts to set . I don’t do that is vendor say ( put the Jello first into the pan then the mixture because sometimes the mixture thickens very quickly and won’t cover all of the Jello ).
Recipe instructions in description box
omg the colours looked so beautiful together
There is a few ingredients that were left out a tea spoon of vanilla Extract, one can of evaporated milk other then that everything else is good. =D
Am I the only one that thinks it would look really good with clear jelly instead of the creamy one at the end?¿
That actually would look cool
We do this in my school and use clear jelly :)
The creamy mixture adds flavor to the Jello . I make this but use a different recipe. And get told how delicious the cream mixture is . I am often told when I have an order to add more cream and less Jello .
love how simple the presentation is! thank you!
This is SO cool!! All the colors together looks awesome :) Love it!!
I though you weren't meant to put boiling things in the fridge. Aren't you meant to let it cool completely then put it in the fridge?
This recipe looks awesome. I have to admit I found it more aesthetically pleasing before the addition of the cream mixture. Is there another method to bind them together?
You could try sweetening some plain unsweetened gelatin (it is clear)
yoyomax12 - the diet free zone Would you be able to make an rainbow chesse cake with neon glow frosting?
If done right the cream mixture not only binds them but adds flavor to the Jello . When I make mine ( I use another recipe) I even get told to add more of the cream and less of the Jello.
Yes, unflavored gelatin with sugar to sweeten it a bit. You might also use additives used for candy flavoring, or the champagne or peach jello, which are light colored. I personally prefer the milk based versions.
This is my favorite video to watch, it just looks so neat.
you are truly amazing... this lady needs an award!!!!
2:18 am i the only one who wants to swim in it? 😂
2:16*
Nope
Nope
YOU KNOW WHAT WE NEED TO DO?! WE NEED TO FULL A SWIMMING POOL WITH JELLO! (But to the point where it's beginning to solidify, but still a bit liquidy) OR SQUISHY BAFF!

In this philippines, we call this cathedral window
taga san ka sa pilipinas?
Omg I absolutely 😍 this can't wait to make it. First try didnt come out as plan , but I will be trying again . Thanks
Looks fantastic. My kids are gonna love it!
I just decided to screw the whole idea of putting the white thing in and shoves my face into the pan with jello
Wow she's got quite a big fridge
Are you still on this account
looks absolutely fabulous......
will try to make one soon.
This is soooo cool! Ive seen this in stores and i have always wondered how to make it! Now i know! Thanks!
what will happen if you use the correct amount of water according to instructions on the packet ?
+Graciela Martines It just will be too soft to cut into cubes.
It will work
Just divide the amount of water you need by 2

I noticed that you only use 1 cup boiling water to dissolve the jello powder but according to the instructions you also mix 1 cup of cold water before putting it in the fridge. Do we skip the cold water step and just use boiling water?
Depends on how you look at it I guess, good that every part of the cow/pig is being used for something and that the waste is limited. :)
I'm in love with this thanks for sharing.
I used to enjoy this at a restaurant that has since closed and I always wondered how they made that.
I tried this, it turned out really gorgeous! But I added vanilla extract to the milk mixture which made the gellatin taste not stand out so much, and put some of the jell-o into silicon ice molds which just made them a little more uniform. It was lots of fun!
Everything looks all good, except that I would not use plastic containers when using hot food/liquids due to its releasing BPA harmful chemicals. Also, placing still-warm jello dishes in the fridge is not a good idea as it can damage the fridge.
The jello thing has been done in my house ATLEAST 50 times. My fridge isnt damaged :P
Yea I wouldn't put it in plastic but I've made jelly a lot and nothing happened
Plastic dishes can be BPA-free.
I think it would be fine if you re-used plastic containers that contained food, ice cream containers for example
Maybe its BPA free plastic. Ever think of that?
i tried this but the milk jello turned pink and it was tasteless. why?
Did you use the right kind of jello and milk? Should be sweetened condensed milk and unflavored gelatin.
I LOVE that you get so many ideas from pinterest! Its awesome that you always test them out before I have to the chance to screw em up and you always have great feedback!
Love all of your videos! I now have some great ideas for my little girls unicorn and rainbow party! Thanks
Robbie Shapiro would be pleased.

You just made my day.....I'm a Scout leader and my boys will love to have this at their Christmas party in a couple of weeks. I've never seen anything like this and can not wait to try it.
When I was 5yrs old Mother had a tupperware party and someone brought a jelly formed in a Bunt mould. It was white with coloured pieces in it and I saw that and thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I have never seen it again. UNTIL NOW! THANK YOU! Now I can not only make it myself but I can actually have some! ( as I was not allowed when I was 5 as I was home sick from school and was unceremoniously shoo'ed off back to bed!) Thank you! Truly amazing what can be found in YT!
