  • Colourful and delicious, this jello dessert is a bit time consuming to make but very appealing to the eye. * Please READ THE DESCRIPTION BOX for important recipe information omitted in the video, click on show more**
I suppose you could also call this stained glass window jello too, don't you think?
Found this on a website here:
    justjennrecipes.com/broken-gla...
6 packages jello powder (3 oz packages/ 85g) (or whatever colours and flavours you want to use.
    Boiling water
    2 envelopes unflavoured gelatin ( 1/2 oz total or 14 g)
1 can sweetened condensed milk (10 to 14 oz)
If you can't find sweetened condensed milk, you can make your own.
    allrecipes.com/recipe/homemade...
Blend one cup of boiling water with one packet of jello powder in a small container and stir until powder is dissolved. Repeat for the other 5 colours of jello.
Place the 6 containers of jello in the refrigerator and chill until firmly set.
Unmold the jello by dipping the bottom of the container with the set jello in a larger container of hot water for a few seconds. Invert the container and gently pry the edges of the jello away from the sides of the container allowing air to get in between. The jello piece should come out easily, if it doesn't dip the container again.
Cut the jello into small cubes.
Sprinkle the jello cubes evenly into the bottom of a 13"x 9" pan.
In a bowl blend together 2 cups of boiling water and 2 envelopes of gelatin. Stir until dissolved.
***LET THIS MIXTURE COOL UNTIL IT IS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE*** Forgot to mention this in the video :(
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and pour over the jello pieces.
Refrigerate the pan for several hours until chilled and set.
Cut into squares and serve :)

I tried this recipe, my family and I loved it! Thank you! I've tried the other recipes with vanilla, and the ones with sweet condensed creamer, evaporated milk, and half cream, but they just don't taste as clean and flavorful as your recipe. They have a thicker, heavier taste. Great job!

We make this jello but when i make the white jello i mix 1 can condensed milk, 1 can evaporated milk, 1 can media leche, 1 pkg of cream cheese and a tsp vanilla in the blender with the unflavored jello. Tastes delicious!!

    • @adrianagflores5587
      @adrianagflores5587 Před 6 lety +1

Nweisha Ng My recipe for the white gelatin is very similar but it omit the cream cheese . I use
      1 can 12oz evaporated milk
1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
      12 oz of water
      1 can’t think it’s 10 oz Nestle table cream
4 envelopes unflavored gelatin. I heat up the evaporated milk and water then put it in a blender as the blender is running I add the sweetened condensed milk , cream and slowly add the gelatin. When dissolved I pour it into a large pan ( by large I mean turkey roaster or lasagna casserole ). Then I add my Jello cut into small cubes and made with half of the water recommended on the box . I use 6 - 6 oz box of Jello in flavors Strawberry or Raspberry for red , Peach for pinkish , Pineapple or lemon for yellow , Grape for purple, Blue berry for blue , and Lime for green . I add the Jello I do the cream mixture first to the pan then I quickly put the Jello squares to the mix because it starts to set . I don’t do that is vendor say ( put the Jello first into the pan then the mixture because sometimes the mixture thickens very quickly and won’t cover all of the Jello ).

Yes, unflavored gelatin with sugar to sweeten it a bit. You might also use additives used for candy flavoring, or the champagne or peach jello, which are light colored. I personally prefer the milk based versions.

Everything looks all good, except that I would not use plastic containers when using hot food/liquids due to its releasing BPA harmful chemicals. Also, placing still-warm jello dishes in the fridge is not a good idea as it can damage the fridge.
