    In this video I go step by step In Mach 3 And show you what my configuration is for the PM727M.
    After My third CNC build this information seems boring but for those who are new to CNC and trying to build a CNC this information can be invaluable.
    I also share a few tips I pick up from others along the way.
    I have tried to be as detailed as possible to the point of being informative but not boring. I will try to keep the videos around the 15 minute mark. Please comment and let me know if the content is spot on or you would like more information and details. I will do a complete overview video to conclude the wiring in which I will go thru how the system operates. Thanks for watching , please subscribe, thumbs up if you like the video, and most importantly , Be Safe!
    In the next video PM-727M CNC I go through how I set up Steps per inch and Backlash Compensation.

    CNC4XR7, great videos very informative...im looking to order the PM727 here soon...Do you find the max rpm to be a little slow for cnc milling? specifically aluminum?

      Thank you,
      Great Machine Tell Matt Sam sent you! I would not delay as I see Grizzly has raised the price of there version $100.
      With the VFD and 3425 RPM Lesson Metric motor I think it will be ok as is But plans are to convert to a Belt drive and at the least Double that speed.
      Be Safe,
      Sam

    Mate just wanted to say thank you very much I just built a optimum bf20lv CNC mill from scratch it was a mission just trying to get it to home and use the inductive sensors I have 3 of them that work as home and limits switches what would you set in the homing and also the port inputs as settings I tried your setting and it flashes a yellow light in diagnostics showing its registering but when I jog it lets me go past the sensors. Warm regards James.

    • @CNC4XR7
      @CNC4XR7  Před 6 lety

      Hi James
      When you reference a axis or all it should reference Z ,Y, X ( go to the home sensor and back off) then turn the reference led green. If this is happening then Mach3 see the sensors and the input is working! since you get a led in diag. i suspect all of the above is working. Now as for travel limits they should use the same inputs as the Axis home switch. Also I personally only use soft limits.

    I would set your look ahead to max, you will run into issues with it set to 20 with adaptive strategies. s they eat lots of code lines quickly and you don't want it to catch up with motion planning!

      I agree with Chris. I have had not one but two machines not work properly during complex adaptive toolpaths due to this setting being left on default. Changing this to 500+ fixed the problem.

    Wich setting i need to change my cnc feeds and speeds are good but when i doo multiple parts the shift between parts are terribly slow. for example when i make full sheet of small parts.

    • @CNC4XR7
      @CNC4XR7  Před 6 lety

      Thats something not easily answered as it seems to be ever changing. There are also many different configurations you can go with as far as steppers , servos, etc. Having said that My mill as you see it is at $4250.00
      This includes everything you see enclosure coolant pump, CPU, monitor, all electronics etc.
      future additions will be Clearpath servo's , PDB and ATC plus a 4th Axis

      What is pros & cons using Computer with Mach3 vs. using Offline CNC System ?

    • @CNC4XR7
      @CNC4XR7  Před 5 lety +1

      Most of the hobby cnc controllers are Computer based. however there are some stand alone controllers out there it really depends on personal preference. normally CPU based systems are more customizable
