One thing I noticed about Jamahal in this fight is that he keeps his eyes open when he's getting hit or about to get hit, which to me means his always looking to swing back. Usually guys close their eyes as a reflex but hill doesn't

Mostly because right after this fight everyone leaned into the “Glover is old” narrative. If Glover won you would hear none of that. Hill did great using knees and body kicks to neutralize Glover’s thought of take downs in round 1

Alex is really good as well but yeah I think Hill vs either is a great fight and definitely would pick him to win. Man watching this Hill fight again for the 4th time shows me he’s such a smart fighter. This was a short notice fight and he was still able to manage his gas tank vs an opponent that doesn’t have an off switch. UFC 300 will be a battle of two of the smoothest, best skilled, and smartest strikers in the history of the LHW division. Sure JBJ and DC are the best overall fighters to do it but as far as striking this upcoming main event is going to be an epic striking master class that I get more and more excited about!!!
It’s crazy. So much respect for both men! Glover being at the end of his career still looking like this against the top of the division shows how amazing he is. All the phenomenal wars he’s been in.
And Jamal Sweet Dreams Hill what can I say except W😮W and I’m so excited to see him fight again soon. Guys fight IQ is world class and he’s a big athletic smart well rounded fighter.
Hope we can see him go against Perriera or for the belt again real soon.

Although Glover did fight him and trains Alex so he has that revenge factor. I can’t wait! A little surprised that this is the Main at 300, Dana hyped it so much that I think anything wouldn’t have been enough, maybe GSP vs Khabib or Jones vs Aspinal. Don’t get me wrong, this is a main event worthy fight!

That depends, Jamahal is a southpaw but he switches stance alot i think the gameplan for him and his team is to stay southpaw so that lowkick wont be there.

So much respect for glover. i know its not the way he wanted to go out but its almost a perfect swan song for a man who is as tough as they come and willed himself to win a world title in his 40s. the shots he took in this fight really is a testament to his iron chin as the only men to ever fully put him out were the legendary rumble johnson and alex gustafsson who pushed the goat of the division to the limit. glover also fought jones in his prime and went the distance. hats off to a legendary career.
It’s crazy in a fight when Jon Anix says “how much damage can one man take?” You know it’s bad and about to be stopped. Glover has been through so many amazing wars! It was a shame we missed so many years because he couldn’t get to America and join the UFC! I mean Hill Rocked him in the first minute and a half with head kicks in rounds 2 3 & 4! Man it’s crazy after all his wars he was still able to make it through 25 minutes of this! So much RESPECT!

1 of glovers main weaknesses was the uppercut. i think thats why gus and anthony johnson ko'd him. glover doesnt really get ko'd by anything else. if hill threw an uppercut early then he probably would have put glover out. he did throw them but far too late and when he was more tired.

Man, i really don't know...hill is fast af and he has serious power. Look how Jiri did hurt pereira with his boxing (which isn't great), i think this fight is very winnable for Hill. He is younger and faster, but anything can happen in a fight. Alex is still a World Class Beater.

If Poatan lands a clean Left Hook against Jamahal the same way Glover did in the first round, he's going to sleep. I think he's too sloppy to beat Alex.
jiri was sloppy, as he is every fight. hill is not sloppy every fight, as we saw with his fight against crute and with walker. the biggest issue for hill is that hes coming off injury. so perhaps he wont be able to take as many risks, thus having him be outpointed or leg kicked tko'd. but if hes actually 100 percent then he has a decent chance to win. alex didnt ko jan and jan has been rocked more than hill has in his career.

Jiri vs Glover was razor close till the sub. Hill almost killed Glover on short notice in a fight for the vacant belt. Hill was the champ for sure.
