    If you let it dry out, it will kill your plant, but it is a miracle for propping Albo's Constellations, and corms.

    I love fluval. I just put several different alocasia babies like you show in it. I'm hoping to keep them in it long term but we will see.

      I usually will swap them out of fluval once they grow some leaves. It makes me nervous by how fast it breaks down! Awesome growing medium

    So I just started with Fluval and had to repot them and almost lost a few 😢 I got frustrated and put them in water - my 2 only questions 1) do they have to be in the green house while in the fluval? And 2) how often are you watering?

      I keep mine in the cabinets. They don't have to be. But they might dry out faster out vs in. Or maybe your fans blow on them. That would change the drying out time too. They should grow anywhere with good light. I water when they dry out on the top. Or I use a spray bottle to dampen the top area. They dry pretty fast. Sometimes, you have to water daily

    Thanks for the tips! I've just begun to learn how to grow alocasia. Do you recommend using plant food for alocasia babies?

      I would suggest micro fertilizing growing babies. Like a snack vs the meal lol. I micro fertilize all my plants. Always do a test subject. Fertilizer burn can happen

    May I ask where you bought the little square (looks like 2 inch) with small saucer? Thanks!

    • @otaku.plants
      @otaku.plants  Před měsícem +1

      @ttschrock7126 we got them off amazon. Let me see if I can get the link for you foxany 3" Clear Nursery Pots, 30 Pcs Thick Plastic Plant Pots, Square Flower Planting Pots, Seedling Planter Seed Starter Pots with Saucers a.co/d/04YjRZQH. Just a heads up though. I personally don't use these anymore. The cloudy plastic made it hard to see the moisture level. Can't really see through it.

      @ttschrock7126 same here. It's an absolute must for me. There are so many other options on Amazon. Just type in clear 3 inch planters etc.

    Did you put fresh cuttings directly into the stratum? Or do you start in water?

    • @otaku.plants
      @otaku.plants  Před 8 měsíci +1

      You can either honestly. I don't grow in fluval. I'll start corms in it. Propagation plants I usually start in water. But you can prop in fluval
