look how far metal has come since its origins. who gives a fuck about infinitesimally small blurred lines between sub-genres. at the end of the day its heavy distorted badass raw onslaughts of noise that we are all here for
Preach my metal brother
Jon Palmiere haha
Omg yes finally lol this is so true
you give me faith in the metal community.
nekomeka. the metal community should be about sharing the music we love, appreciating all aspects of the genre and cultivating it. cheers
My dad is 47, and one day i going through all of his 80's music CD's and I found A whitechapel CD. thought it was 80's, but no it was this! AND ITS FREAKING AMAZING!
your dad is cool as shit
an old metalhead! XD
Best fucking dad.
Just shows that the people in the 80s know real metal then people now your dad rocks
You have an awesome dad.
Man this is still rippin ,Thumbs up if your still jammin this today
Fuck yeah bud. oldies but goodies!

smh
Mate, this is STILL rippin! Full blast sesh of this at 830 am😂🤘
I was 17 when this album came out... Im 30 now and it still sounds as sick to me as the day it came out.... This is exile is the 2000s reign in blood imo just a timeless metal classic same with the cleansing from SS
Yup.. I was 19
I was 4
Damn I feel old now too
Damn straight bro!
Bro I was 16, my buddies and I were so fucking excited for this album to drop. I miss the old whitechapel, I just listened to Somatic Defilement on my commute. Shit goes hard
People hate nu-metal, death/metalcore and shit. Why cant we all just listen to our own music and like what we like.
those 1k dislikes are from a bunch of angry Christians😂😂😂😂😂😂
+tony guagliardo Im christian but i like listening to Whitechapel :/
\m/
+Eirik Bevektg exactly. But I mean a lot of people don't like how a lot of these untalented ones in those genres are successful. Which I understand. For example I don't like attila and I don't know how there successful because I think there utter shit. But at the end of the day listen to what you want.
KoRn for life 😜
going through a breakup right now. instead of moping and letting depression take control, i scream along to whitechapel and feel happy again. amazing what metal can do, right? lml,
Same here when i'm really pissed i get in my car and scream along
lol....it is better than going out and doing something stupid. I do the same thing when listening to music.
Speak for yourself. My girl loved metal. Still miss her and always will but the musics good
Maybe someday I'll make such a brutal song she'll come back :')
@@kyokokirigiri100 is she your ex because of a break up or
same fuck crying over people that shit SUCKS
Man I miss being a kid, this brings back memories. Seen whitechapel, Oceano, The Acacia Strain, and Slayer live more times than any other bands.
Fd.lmn
Same bro im pretty sure Whitechapel and TAS did a tour together
@@plaguem4rine if they did they damn sure didn't come through VA! I'd have been there! I did see whitechapel and Oceano on tour together though, one of the best shows I've been too.
@@plaguem4rineI think it was called the welcome to hell tour… around 2010
@@rustymerritt5563 we missed out on a lot of cool shows living in VA. I’m from nova. Remember Jaxx Nightclub?
My uncle saw these guys here in OKC and there was a church there with their youth group. He said they had a prayer circle right before the band hit the stage and once the band started killing it the church group started moshing and rocking out like everyone else! That's fuckin metal!
Hopefully it made the kids think a bit more critically later on in life
The venue in my hometown in Missouri was really amazing for a while and was having stacked lineups every single week with the best metal bands. Through the eyes of the dead, as blood runs, black, job for a cowboy, etc. Whitechapel was booked to play but the venue was funded and owned by a bunch of local churches and a bunch of the moms ended up reading the lyrics before the show and boycotted it. Whenever White chapel got on stage they said that they can't play or the venue would get shut down. There was never a good show there again
Saw them live last night playing This is exile in it's entirety. Such a fucking surreal experience !
right its insane how he sounds EXACTLY the same live
always love when bands do full albums in concert, doesn't matter what band- that's gonna be a sick concert
So lucky
I've seen them 2 times now, with a 10 year difference almost and I appreciated them SOO much more the second time. I was screaming lyrics in the pit while throwing down.
Lol ik you liled metal bet you where in a band too
Came back here because of COVID-19, because "WE ARE THE DISEASE"
Also on saw is the law,he says "we left our homes to infect the world".
Yeah are you fucking happy now dumb ass we are dead we are all dead
And there's nothing you can and I do to stop it . Say goodbye to everyone you love because your dead now I am dead your dead we are all dead
I might as well die at this point
Do you realise what this means God has to send the Messiah to fix all this if this is true highly unlikely the way things are no believes in god that's why things are the way they are
I like to slither around on the ground like a snake in Walmart when I listen to this.
leerey14 bro if I saw you doin that shit I’ll call security on your ass.. I work there
Haha fuck yea man do it up
leerey14 Epic comment !!! 🤘🏻😂🤘🏻
Who doesn't
I go down the stuffed animal isle at Walmart first one that looks at me funny gets rapped...
This is probably my favorite whitechapel song to date. It goes hard.
same d:
Who's rocking this with me in 2020 quarantine!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Yes
I can see myself still rocking this when I'm old and wrinkled and can't walk lol
This is exile will always be In Style! Messiahbolical
(ʘᴗʘ✿) yep
I hate those people who are like: "I only listen to old thrash and death metal, 'cause those are the only real genres of metal hur dur!" Seriously, shut the fuck up. Honestly, you can't even listen to other subgenres of metal? Like really, how narrow minded are you. I hate this constant bitching about how deathcore/ metalcore/numetal/ etc aren't real metal. How it's "poser metal"
But u gotta admit a lot of this new metalcore like asking Alexandria and of mice and men suck
andrew welsh amen brother. keep rockin. as long as its metal, it gets respect from me, even if i dont care for it.
***** how?
the Pecha gamer For having an opinion, duh
andrew welsh I just listen to whatever metal sounds good to me. Don't really give a flying fuck what genre it is. Good metal is good metal and bad metal isn't worth my time. I don't know when everyone started giving a shit what metal sub-genre they listen to.
This is exile is still one of the greatest deathcore albums there is.
This is the only song I like of there's, but Its truly a work of art ,
which is definatly noteworthy.
@@chaosdweller I'm partial to "Prostatic Fluid Asphyxiation"
@@Th3DownzI'm partial to the entire Somatic Defilement album and It makes me sad because so many people talk about how good that album is
Minute 1:59 must be one of the must epic moments in deathcore history
I remember back in highschool in 2008 when i listened to this absolute banger of a track!!!!
Thumbs up if you still listen to this in 2019.
Marquise Harrison I’m just driving back home from Tennessee where these guys are from. 😂😂😂
that guy at the end...most brutal guy ever
thank u!
Andre Forero is that you ? can you tell us what happened there ?)
This, to this day, one of Whitechapel's best albums, hands down. This and Somatic Defilement paved a way for them. They need to get back on this track. This shit has such power it's fucking insane.
I love all sub-genres of metal. \m/
I love all sub-genres but hate the half of those sub-genres fans.Always bitchin about sub-genres.
+Q deMayo Except pornogrind, right?
I love every genre.
@Seb Montez lmfao that's what the first comment said
At least we're on a deathcore video where elitists are very rare. If you said that on a metal forum you'd get absolutely destroyed by a-holes who worship their black metal bands that production quality sounds like it was recorded on a Nintendo DS. But I agree not all subgenres are bad, some better than others.
Still listening in 2022.
we do not care
Couldn't help but blast this during covid
& Again & Again & Again!!
This was recorded at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. I just got back to my house after seeing them again tonight at the Palladium. These guys rock.
Best Whitechapel song
My brother showed me this band. I absolutely love Lamb of God, so he told me to go listen to White Chapel. At first I couldn't stand it, but one day I found myself humming it, and now I'm here. Lol
im a rap/hiphop producer BUT i got old metal roots 😎 i jammed this 10 years ago and still do
8 years since I first discovered the true meaning behind metalcore, a friend from W PA introduced me to this work of art. Still get goosebumps from the first 20 seconds of this amazing song, all while driving on a forklift. 🤘
In my 30s now and I'm just discovering this healing in my soul to this music... Wish I was allowed to express my more like this in my 20s when I had all the energy in the world but instead I was depressed. Now I've found myself and it's liberating to know that you came from a broken childhood and all this time you wondered why you're different from the "happy & normal" and this whole time you blame yourself thinking everything is your fault fu** you all ... In the nicest way possible 🤘🔥
Jesus rules
@@brodyhess5553 we all rule
No matter how many times I listen to this song, 1:58 will always give me chills
12 years damn. i remember the first time i watched this. got old and 2 kids now lol
Lol me too, I was I high school and thinking holy shit this music video, I wish I was this show. So sick.
There is more arguing and fighting on metal band videos than any other genre. No matter what kind of metal it is. The rock community in general is truly divided.
It's been amazing seeing this band grow.
What good deathcore sounds like. You can actually hear the guitars, the vocalist can be heard, but the vocal and drum tracks don't bury everything else in the mix like todays production does. Raw and brutal as fuck. Take notes you young kids.
My obsession with this amazing band all started with this.
Same here haha
Lukas Jaeger hahahaha... same here.
3rd times a charm....same
Man, 13 years
How time has flown, I remember what only seems like yesterday. Discovering Whitechapel at a gig because they were a support and this was pre internet. They came on and opened with this, holy fuck. Changed my life from that moment.
This came out when I was in my late teens and man is it still the shit!!!! This Is Exile and A New Era Of Corruption are not only the best albums they ever released, but also some of the best most brutal metal ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️
When I was in basic I made friends with this prior service dude in my platoon. One day I realized he had a whitechapel tattoo on his leg. Bros for life now.
damn every metal music video i go to i can basically predict the comments. just more metalheads trying to divide the metal community.. enjoy the fucking music or just leave lol
10 years old and still one of my favorite songs!
It is impossible to fall in love more than his voice
3:19 after all these years is still one of my favorite breakdowns!!!!
pretty boring, after all the heavy breakdowns from whitechapel
Here in 2022 heading to 2023 and this still rips! \m/
Eyes are glaring RED
This is so calming.
First time listening to this band... amazing shit
The Anarchist deathcore has punk influences...I prefer it actually, but death metal is pretty great as well. An example of death metal would be Amon Amarth. I highly recomend you give them a listen, and you can really hear the difference
The Anarchist
Deathcore is more a mix of Death Metal and Metalcore. Logan recommended to you a band that, at least in my opinion, is not the best band to try and show someone what death metal is all about...Try bands more like old school Cryptopsy or The Faceless' second album Planetary Duality. Both of those are some pretty brutal, yet technical stuff.
Logan Knowles Amon Amarth is Death/viking metal. BUT if I would recommend a death metal band it would be like Cannibal Corpse or Dying Fetus. But Amon amarth Is a amazing band. But i must agree with Dreginy Let's Plays
Deathcore is a mix of deathmetal and hardcore .
Sebastian Johansson Actually Amon Amarth is pure Melodic Death Metal xd
Music is music, we all have the right to listen to what we want to. At least we should have that right.
After jamming this a million times over the years I still cannot listen to it without losing my shit
This song makes me realize that I am a pretty good human being but I can always strive to be better
Just came here after listening to the new single orphan. Talk about growing diverse . Who would have thought
I’m 30, been listening to this band since I was 14, and I have to say this is just such a death metal classic. 💪🔥💫
He is clueless
This is Deathcore not Death Metal
@@DrownInLysergic Correct, my friend. However, this shit still go hard tbh... agreed?
@@peepeerogersoh it definitely goes hard its just not death metal lmao
I work at this venue now and I think about this music video every time I walk in
I miss this Whitechapel.
Watched them live... Way To Epic
Never watch this video. And now after 12 years here I am. I missed this Era of deathcore. But I love WC now too soo.
Love coming back after years.
Even though I don’t listen to this band anymore, I was at that show where they recorded the video and man I miss this shit!
I remember seeing them in 2009 when I was like 14 and I knew I was inlove. They are so good live
Fuck I forgot how good Whitechapel is. I mean there is no fucking band who can compare to the beautifull groovy, brutal and heavy sound with perhaps one of the greatest vocalists ever.
Phil truly is a fucking amazing vocalist. One of my favorites is his performance at the Mitch Lucker memorial show...was so good.
Meshuggah laughs at your feeble mind.
I really like Meshuggah too, mister internet warrior. Sorry for not pointing out I meant within the genre. Isn't awesome to just down-talk anyone who doesn't agree with you Opal? :)
2023 and still the greatest vocalist of all time
Still love this song in 2021 🤘
I was listening to this album earlier and my two year old son walked up to me and said "Whitechapel Rock!!" I am astounded, and proud as hell lol.
I am 62 Years old and I love this music for ever 🤘
I remember listening to this loud as fuck in my truck again and again and again and again and again!
Again and again and again and againnnn
💪😤
"COVER THE EARTH WITH THE BLOOD OF THIS LAMB!!" ♡
2021 still sounds as new as it sounded on 2008
for sure! i dont even listen to much metal anymore these days but whitechapel is one of the bands i always come back to from time to time
we do not care
@@tolevahmet8360 and yet you took time out your day to spew bs good one dude
@@n_ki yes, to tell you we do not care. Which doesn’t imply caring at all. You shared your opinion and they shared theirs.
Can't believe this badass song is already over 10yrs old!
2023 and still banging my teenage vibes. 💪🏼💪🏼
If anything I like this more now than when I was a teenager 😂👌🏼
This was my song into deathcore. The first song where i realised there is something special to this genre. Thank you guys
What I really don't understand is why some metalheads feel the need to comment on everything they don't like, and if someone's taste doesn't match theirs to the letter, they're automatically "posers". Like it or not, Whitechapel is metal. Deathcore is a sub genre of heavy metal. Here's some advice for you elitist, ignorant jerks out there: if you don't like the band, DONT LISTEN TO THEM OR COMMENT HATEFUL THINGS ABOUT THEM. Just ignore it, it's honestly that simple. You're just too narrow minded and biased to realize it. Sincerely- A Fan of Deathcore and Metal in General.
Charlie Queen "elitist"
Filmed at the Palladium in Worcester MASS!!!! They kill it every time they come around!
I never really listened to this song much, but for some reason this song has been stuck in my head for over a week. This is the first time I’ve heard it in maybe a decade or more.
"AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN" i feel you lmao
This led me to being obsessed with learning the drums for it. Now I can play them. Hahaha
one of the best deathcore bands!!!
It's 2021, and I still come back to this song. I fucking love Whitechapel so goddamn much.
All you people that comment on here, i love you. Metal family for life 🤘🏽
Still a banger
2:13 GOOSEBUMPS
I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to screaming, so it's nice to come across these guys- the screamer enunciates just enough, and his screaming also has a really nice sound, and the actual music and lyrics behind it all is great as well (in my opinion), yay A+ c:
that riff tho!...i remember when this came out, needless to say Whitechaps was lyf after that...😍
The bassists facial expressions speak volumes XD
"If you don't listen to White Chapel... i dont know, i dont know what to say about you." lol #priceless
I love that ending riff they use!Great song!
2:44 probably the best thing I’ve ever heard
Bumping this since 7th grade. Now I'm seeing them this December 🖤
I usually listen to rap but I really fuck with this.
I was at a mall one time and a guy was trying to sell my cousin and I his hip hop album. He saw my Miss May I shirt and asked if they were metal and he said he liked metal shows.
+Zach Shinobi cool story bro
insane .zebra What are you fuckin' gay?
+Zach Shinobi Hey, that's pretty good.
Darkened Wraith You stupid mounchee!
Just watched "The Elitest Ones" video. The new stuff is okay, but no where near as great as this.
Thats why im here hhah i checked it out and was like nah and scrolled through some nostalgia to feel like i was listening to whitechapel again
the golden age of deathcore :'(
I agree
ikr. fanbois gotta defend even when their wrong cuz reasons.
this is music not politics.
if a band makes a shitty song, it's a shitty song.
when you kill it in the industry and then release subpar stuff, why would we act like it's not crap?
Got djared dines over there on that video defending them too-
He's got a point, 'don't complain about it'
but people are calling it for what it is.
See this happen all the time like with bands, Attack Attack, TDWP, even deftones, FTFD...
"Let's just pretend the song/album is good because of all their other stuff is good."
Whatever.
Attack Attack's debut was utter dogshit though, and modern TDWP (Zombie and onwards) is leagues better than old risecore TDWP. I can't see how anyone can defend crabcore.
Maaaaan, twelve years already. I remember the day this dropped, I skipped high school to go buy the album and jam
Nostalgia brought me here
Love Whitechapel :')
DubstepMediaUK no
I love this song!!! After all who wouldn't?
i was 12 years old when this song changed my life forever
I am 40 y/o, I always liked metal since I was a kid, i was introduced to this band by one of my shipmates, (I am a navy veteran of course) it took 1 second to like their shit. I might sound funny but metal music calms me down, Makes me work better. . Love, love, Metal. Specially this type.
Whitechapel, in my opinion, has always been far more than a deathcore band. While they do have the elements once can expect from deathcore, I feel that their musicianship, the way they execute atmosphere and mood, and even their song structures in many cases stretch far beyond the deathcore genre. Very solid band.
La obra maestra de whitechapel. Qué recuerdos del verano de 2009.
My favorite whitechapel song from start to finish. GODDAMN YOU ALL!!!!
I fucking remember when this came out. Still love this after a decade
So many people have no idea how much talent and effort goes into those vocals
One of the first songs by them i was introduced to at around 10-14 yrs old 😆 never stopped listening to them since. Phil has one of the most brutal voices and now with the clean vocals one of the most beautiful melodic vocals I've ever heard. Thats my husband 😂😂😂😂 jk
So many years since I've listened to this song... still sick
my favourite song of whitechapel, too many different heavy riffs
