I absolutely love that last question about "making it". Pat nailed it when he said that music is such an extraordinary "teacher", because it really is! His music has made me feel so okay about experiencing each moment, experience or situation fully and embracing each one as a lesson about life. Thank you, Pat Metheny, for giving me permission to do just that!

I also love what Pat says about music being a "teacher". I also find music to be a medicine, and in order for it to work well, it needs to be experienced fully by the listener. Likewise, if I sing a song, I hope it helps the listener experience whatever they're going through at the time find their way to more fully appreciate whatever they're going through at the time. Just the emotional therapy music has helped me is amazing, but even more, I've been able to let go of deep sorrow or bitterness about something I experienced as a young child. Having that happen was truly miraculous, because I was able to fully forgive those who deeply hurt me and learned more fully how to forgive them and love them. God created music, and in fact, He created everything, and; "lo, it was very good." (Read Genesis chapters 1 and 2.) Thank you so much for this amazing interview.

7:18-28 = I guess Pat didn't like Bill Milkowski's 'Jaco: The Extraordinary and the tragic life of Jaco Pastorius'. I love Pat's music deeply, but I disagree w/ his assessment of the book. Polemic and containing stories of Jaco's various 'personal-problems'? Sure. But most importantly it is the richest on Jaco's musical career, detailing its beginnings in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, his influences, development, his attitude and commitment that put him on the path to becoming the greatest electric bassist of all times.

Me parece que lo dice de corazon ,Pedro Aznar es terrible bajista y en su grupo hizo percusion y voz, el bajo no lo toco.
