In this video we discover a big problem with the Jazz Type R that may put the whole build at risk. But before that we make sure to add a load more crazy modifications to turn the Honda Jazz/Fit into even more of Jazz Type R to make it look even better! Previously we have fit a K20A2 (K-series engine), known as the K20 for short, which is out of a Honda Civic EP3 Type R and we fit it into the car - but what did we do wrong on the install which has caused some ... issues?

You can afford to buy a civic type r tho 🤔
Why haven't you primed the rocker 🤔
You need a 3 door car
Thoes rear lights 😍👍🔥
Looking great mate only one thing I’d do is put some wheel spaces on they a little too tucked into the arches
Wrong. Looks very track ready.
@@jarrad5723 it might be track ready but looks wise would look great with spaces
@@jarrad5723 You have no idea what you are talking about dude hahahahaha. Spacers have nothing to do with a car being track ready.
if the plan is to only track it, i suggest avoid using spacers, but if its for mainly for show purposes and normal road use, then defo get some spacers on.
@@JNASLDN Spacers do absolutely nothing to a track ready car man, infact a lot of expensive high end cars already have them from factory to get a perfect fitment. Including Porches and BMWs
This is proving to be my favourite CZcams build. Once those issues are sorted and it's had a new set of white clothes it's going to look truly amazing.
Thankyou ❤️
hi mate, if you get a flat sanding block and scuff at the Honda badge on the rocker, it will leave a chrome finish Honda logo and look 10x nicer :). just a suggestion
Sort the honda badge on the rocker cover. Scrap the paint off and paint it white or leave it sliver 👌
Yeh doing this soon 😎
Scrape*
@mikedinni6318 you tell I stayed in school csnt you 😂😂
Build is looking good. I don't know if you were already planning it, but after seeing the new interior change the grey roof/pillar lining let's it down and would look much better if it was black.
JDM ep3 had a front diff which I've had fitted to mine. (I imported one from Japan, new, for an Integra - there are limited numbers so if you see one get it). Expensive but game changer. If you were excited about the first drive what 'til you get it mapped, they drop Vtec to 4600 and up the RPM to 8200. Its a different animal. check oil regularly and keep 1L on you, you will burn oil each time you're in VTEC. If not, its not monitored and it is oil starved even for a short time. it's likely blown head gasket time. Hope that helps. Always use genuine Honda parts and my performance garage also recommends keeping Honda oil in it.
Thankyou for this advice man!
@@JackMcNeillCars No worries, I'm really enjoying the build, the drive to get in there and give it a go is commendable. I had my oil changed last week and after refiling it they pulled the fuse (Im guessing to the fuel pump) then turned it over for about 5-10 seconds. When i asked, was told this allows oil pressure to build up, before they refitted the fuse to start it. Prevents you running it from dry as he said in some cases it can take 15 seconds on start to get the oil up to pressure and all the way round. Thought I'd pass that one on as i noted on your first start up just fired it up on it's first go. Looking forward to the next one.
I thought all oil came from dynosaurs.
Some of the information you've given is false:
- Get it mapped IF there are any mods. Standard ECU map will do fine.
- Map on a dyno - dropping VTEC without any significant mods will result in a power dip - Honda knew where the crossover should be put.
- Reduced oil will result in oil starvation, usually ruining the crank bearings and the engine will knock. The head gasket will blow on age, overheating or boost.
Otherwise yes, a front LSD is good, OEM helical. They are easy to find in the UK and usually a whole gearbox with LSD is around 700-800 GBP. I would recommend a shorter final drive from FN2 (5.1) or a 5.33 (much rarer, like FWD USDM K24 CR-V and such)
This needs a spoiler now and with paint, will look spot on 👌
Jack, you have nailed the formula. Your project is relatable, your filming and delivery are spot on, editing is great. Huge future ahead of you. Keep creating, I love it 👍
Thanks man 😇
We need a POV drive when’s it’s all done 👍 and some more driving clips 🫢
Deffo 🔥
Paint it white!
You are living my dream... I don't think I've ever said this but this is my favourite build on youtube. It scratches my brain in the right way with how you're doing pretty much everything properly OEM as if it were factory. And the Jazz is a seriously underrated car past it's grandma reputation - Love mine to bits even in completely standard form. Maybe I'll keep it when I get a new car and hopefully do something like this some day.
I’m so glad you enjoy man! It scratches my brain just right too😂
you should we painted white right now
Oem+
@@tahahaider5836 As it should be 😎
Watched this build from the very beginning and man, all i want to say is that this is my dream car rn. There’s something so classy about a pure n/a 2000’s honda, i love it, keep it up
This car is turning out to be soo good. Please don’t side body this like the comments are saying it’ll just ruin it’s beauty 🙏
Really enjoying this series and your genuine enthusiasm, keep up the great content.
Turbo the jazz 👍🏼
Real vtec is n/a 😂
Takes away most of the fun of the car, trust me
Its pissing oil as it is. 10k that engine apparently 😂
he may make it back from advertising luckily lol
@@jedbriimc9879 he already has 👍
absolutely loving this series, keep going mate your doing a great job, supporting from New Zealand
Keep up the good work lad, loving the Jazz 🤙
Hi Jack, love this series, keep up the great work!! ❤ 👍
Eagerly await each episode of this series, keep them coming!! 🔝🔝
Thankyou!
Honestly my favourite creator out there I love the effort. For the boot, move the jazz badge to the left side and the type r badge on the right.
Are you getting a rear hatch spoiler like the Ep3 has? Also you can use the gauge cluster. You "just" have to get the service manuals for both versions and put the pins in the right location. They both use CAN bus so it should more or less be "plug and play" after repinning. Alot of work. But worth it imo
It may or may not be in the works
U need bigger spacers for the rims and a sports exhaust manifold to make it look a lot nicer 😉
You Remind me so much of myself 20 years ago on my Saxo VTR in my parent's garage - Wish we had youtube back then or the thought to document stuff in the max power era like you do now!
. Im 44 now and run my own bodywork business so its gone from a hobby to a living so ive no time or willing for my own cars!! but enjoy watching you and others. Car looks great. bet they'd go wild for it in Japan when it's done. All the best.
Looks much better!! Love the videos jack keep it up bro.
Rest of the interior black would look good, also red seat belts.
Absolutely loving this series! I’ve had a 1st and 2nd gen Jazz and wish I’d have been brave/mad enough to try this!
Loving this build!!! Done the way i would do it, modified but looks OEM. Perfect, keep up the good work.
loving the vids mate a great series keep them coming!!
Re: Engine since your doing the timing chain etc. Please look into skunk2 Kseries Timing Chain Cover RAW or Black . Features a two-piece design which facilitates easy timing gear access and cylinder head removal
Very tasteful mods mate. I love the OEM+ look.
Thankyou!!!
Love this build buddy. That interior wow just wow!
👍🏻
The JDM type R you used at 20 seconds in happens to be my old car, awesome to see it still used, good luck with the Jazz 👍
I always see whipping around you woodley late at night, can hear you coming a mile away haha! love the content bro
Keep these videos coming there amazing and we are learning a lot 😊
You are a genius your doing what everyone of us wants to do, keep this content up, very unique
Love the series!
Ur videos literally give old day matarmstrong vibes love it!
Keep up the good work! You're smashing it!
I love the route you are taking this build; it definitely looks like something that would have come out of a Honda factory. Keep up the great work!
Recently started to watch your videos, love the build! Not only you get a Type R experience, it can also be used as a proper family car unlike the Civic Type R!
Love this channel and build!! I'm all for it. Sheesshh🔥
I love the Type R interior, looks so nice. The tints on it look schmick as sheesshh❤
Keep going with it!! 84k subs already!
Good call on replacing the timing chain, genuine parts = Honda reliability. Make sure to change the chain tensioner if you replaced that with a cheap aftermarket. Watch out for leaks on the valve cover. That wrinkle is not going to seat the cover seals correctly and will bleed through. If you clutch pedal is hard, now is the time to replace them. They cheap, an exedy oem, try Tegiwa. Also a good time to replace the flywheel with a lightened facelift one if yours is the pre facelift engine. After a skim, they good as new
loving this series, if youre going to the trouble of full paint while you smooth the wiper delete on the back, do the same for the rear door handles (obviously NEVER flip the child locks on though!)
Well done enjoy the journey 👍
Thank you for sharing your build with us mate❤this is so cool..
Well done mate, great video, please continue
it honestly looks so much better the red valve cover, tail lights and interior . continue to make it look amazing.
so invested in these episode continue to do your good work.
Make the interior black and red like the seats🔥
Love the channel! Jazz Type R is going to be great!
Love how it comes out. 🙏🏻
Looks sick mate SPACERS FOR THE WHEELS NEEDED NEXT !!!!!!
Love your build man.. keep it up
stoked for you! sand or scrape the paint off the honda logo for the full effect
Hahaha yes soon 😎
For the speedo you can open the both up and swap over the dial graphics and needles then you can install it using the oem plugs
love the videos so far man !!
i think that the red on the engine cover looks a bit odd without the manifolds being polished , and now that you’re taking the engine out , it would be the perfect timing to do that.
Keep it up mate 💪🏼
u need some wheel spacers it would look killer
Got the rear lights spot on now! 👌
This is the best CZcams build I've seen in a long time. 👏
I've got those rear lights on my jazz. You'll need to replace one of the reverse light bulbs with a red coloured bulb and use the rear fog light connector for an MOT 👍 really glad I found your videos, you're doing everything I wish I could do with mine! Such an underrated car, bet its so fun to drive with the engine
Hahah yes it is man! It’s the best car I’ve owned 😂
Looks great mate! Well done. Definitely jet wash the engine bay when you get the engine out. Looking forward to seeing the progress!
spacers needed
Love what your doing to the car man, you’re absolutely doing this car justice
Maybe some spacers to get rid of that wheel gap you have??? Also if u want you can get some performance pedals for the car too (there is some metal covers that go over the old ones if u like)
Just discovered this. I’m a Honda fan. I bought my first Honda In Australia in 2005, an Accord Euro (as it was named in Australia) 2.4 litre iVtec. Then bought my first new Civic TypeR in 2007. Traded that for a new 2010 Civic Type R. My wife currently drives a 2017 Jazz. That’s the 4th Jazz we have had. Nice content…keep it up.
Awesome! Loving the new interior. I have a Jazz sport with the dull interior... so maybe one day...
I've always thought a dream hatchback would be a jazz type R, the jazz size/practicalness with a performance engine and you correctly made all the right choices, the wheels, removing the smoked lights (chav spec) and changing the boring silver jazz colour, well done keep it up!
Loving this bukd . Defo think Wheel spacers and a type r type spoiler will look well.
Are you cleaning up the engine while it's out too??
looking superb so far the car is transformed.
Brilliant work. The car really is starting to look bloody good.
Nice! Don't forget about the spoiler!
Well done on the steering wheel. I was waiting for the to bash yourself in the face!! Jeep it up. Really good series
Good choice on the rear lights, just needs the optional boot spoiler if you can find one!
15:34 those rear lights look so good. The tinted ones looked ok but the 4th attempt really hit the mark 👍
Add a small wing on that matches the body kit that would be cool
sick type r jazz would look sick in that white keep up the good work loving your builds
if only you could get custom headlights
Ok first: spoiler, bigger disks, bigger Brakes, better suspension(lower), AWD?, turbo tune !!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Second: love your serie man its really cool to see a normal car turn into a sportscar. Keep up te grind 💪💪
I've used that VHT a handful of times it's good stuff... I use a piece of wood underneath the cover so it's edges aren't sat on the ground. 15 minute intervals and then heat but what I didn't know till later on you can spray any areas that aren't wrinkling as much. Keep it up 🤘
Looking great it’s just missing a subtle boot spoiler
Awesome build !
Roll on when it's all finished enjoying the car project jack what's your next one after this
Keep it up. It looks fantastic. 👍
Looks so good man just missing a type r style spoiler 🔥🔥
Hi Guys, just found your channnel and found it interesting, I am a motor engineer and a honda FD2 owner, love what your doing and yes you will make a lot of mistakes .. its all part of the fun.
Oh and they do make a type R jazz in japan its calle a fit R
The back end looks much better just needs a spoiler now
I like that you are honest and admit the mistakes you make! That's rare nowadays!
I wish I was 20 years old... I'd start a Honda like that too. :)
Keep it up! It's getting better and better!
Brilliant, im now on Gumtree looking for a honda jazz 😂😂😂 awesome content as usual thank you 👍🏼
Good work bro, only thing externally I’d add is a rear spoiler, interior wise I would get the carpets redone to make them more black to suit the colour of the seats
I love how u just dive in and get it done problems? what problems i got solutions - Im on the path to doing this myself just need some starting money to get a project car and bits to fix it!
The jazz sport bootlid has a factory spoiler with it that looks really good
Just subbed, awsum stuff dude. You are cool and so is your content!!!💯
Love how everything came out! Just need custom red floor carpet and the interior will be done! And find a way to wire that new cluster gauge in because that one looked wayytt better haha, love all the progress on it and pulling the motor out and getting everything painted is the right move, now you know all your mistakes it's time to get everything done right 😎 great work man
Beautiful build , keep modifing it .
When using rattlecans for spraying to help avoid heavy spraying hang the item you want painted. You want the can to be vertical while spraying. The 1st coat should only be a dusting and should take atleast 3 coats to cover the material completely
gOOD jOB mate!!! more fit video to come..
Great build, type r style rear spoiler?
You need the USDM Honda Fit Sport spoiler!
Hi Jack!
50/50 on the new rear lights. HOWEVER, looks good. Get yourself some silver indicator bulbs, they'll make such a subtle difference, but look great! 😊
Put a type R spoiler on
Hey man im loving this jazz videos and I curious about one thing; can you actually legally run this cars on the road ? What is the cost of legalising all this if so ?
