Thank you for the awesome video, glad to see that I'm not the only one who uses tricks like these.

    Hello, quick question.
So in real life those instruments are played by humans that need to take a breath in order to stay alive.
I own Albion one and the samples can go on for ever and i cant really hear any breathing happening either. In that tutorial there are spaces between legato notes but the midi info doesn’t have any breath marks. So in order to produce convincing mock up of brass would you encompass aforesaid spaces in the midi info?

Thank you for a great tutorial and giving a glimpse into your sketching process. The phrasing though seems somewhat unnatural in places - especially for the brass. Normally you would phrase/evolve the volume/tension over a few bars rather than over a single note or two. While I agree on you the trying to avoid directing "cadavers" (i.e. dull/monotone sound), this constant wavering in volume/dynamics seems unnecessary and a little contrived, though your point is sound. (no pun intended)

Which strings of your Symphonic Strings Mural series did you use? :) I heard you say Chamber Strings in the beginning.

Chamber strings is a "new" library. It's essentially Sable but repackaged in a much more manageable format, and at a very good price too. If you already have Sable volumes, you can crossgrade to the new Chamber Strings.

I agree with Fango' www.spitfireaudio.com/shop/a-z/spitfire-chamber-strings/ is where you need to go to find out more.

Do you use an instance of kontakt per patch? or one multi instance

I'm a bit old fashioned and have a single instance per articulation which means I can treat and stem each style of playing and instrument differently.

That's my preference too. Is that the "old way"?

I think its the best after the TC VSS3 related products... Also great to be able to work on the move without having to drag a TC6000 with you!

aka start from the beginning and gain confidence in what you're doing if you're already experienced with string arrangements but are uncertain about brass programming. As advertised.

Christian doesn't care how the instrument works, only the finished track.
he gets tons of work, and his clients could care less.
      brass is a different beast,
