Again, this video is NOT intended to hate on ecoboost owners! In fact, had I gotten a 2015 Mustang Ecoboost instead of my V6 Mustang, I probably would've never gotten my Camaro SS. Why? Maybe I would've been satisified by the torque; which the V6 Mustang lacked badly throughout the (usable) powerband.
Anyways, I love the Ecoboost motors and I truly believe Ford will only get better at what they do with these motors.

This is random but what if there was a guy who put a 2JZ in an Ecoboost Mustang?
I had a friend in high school who’s parents where kinda rich, and all he wanted was a mustang for his 17th birthday, (thinking he’d get a mid 2000s gt) and his parents got him a eco boost) after being salty about for a week he became to like it and nicknamed it the “4 banger ‘stanger”
Well if my parents got me a stang id be very happy (turbo i4, v6, or v8) and not be a salty bitch about it but never mind hes happy with it
I just got a eco boost for my high school car too, i like it but want to add some extra stuff to make it loader etc

Now I understand you have a right for your own opinions, but I own a 2006 Honda Odyssey (nothing special about it), but even though it has 210,000 miles on it, it's still holding up and running strong. I've always wanted a Mustang, but personally I'm more of a Camero fan.

Real reasons for Ecoboost over GT:
- It costs way less but still looks like a Mustang
- It weighs almost 300 pounds less
- More tune-able. That doesn't mean "bruh my Ecobeast smokes GT with only a tune", it means it's easier to customize the engine's performance
- It's a great car even if it's not a 'true Mustang', a lot of people don't care about the heritage.
The SVO was a thing. So technically you could make the heritage arguement lol sorta

I had an Ecoboost for 2 years and I loved it. I think it's perfect for a younger guy. I have a GT now, but I'm old enough and responsible enough to appreciate it without wrecking it.

V6 Challenger is the worst of the V6 muscle/pony cars. It weighs over 3800lbs, but only has barely over 300HP to manage it. I really don't want to be the guy who shit talks it...but a V6 Toyota Camry is faster than it, and I wish I was joking with that statement, but a V6 Camry or Accord will just embarrass the V6 Challenger. It's not worth, "having the cool look" if they're going to lose every race :(
Bladed Angel people should just buy the R/T instead of the V6, not only they'll have more power, also V6/I4 versions of muscle cars are fake muscle, and it's a fact

The new ecoboost mustangs are actually pretty quick. It is no v8, but can go pretty good.
the 3.5 twin turbo in the f150 and taurus is a way better engine than the coyote.

I’ve put 5k in my ecoboost, manage to pull a 0-100km of 4.5 seconds. So I don’t see how spending an extra ten grand on a gt is worth it, that being said of course I’d prefer the gt over the ecoboost if it was only 5 or so grand more

Most of the people who hate on Ecoboost are people who can’t even afford a brand new gt so they buy old models and try to flex. I’m perfectly happy in my 2018 ecoboost, I can still give the smoke to 80%+ of the cars I come across

Lol I just bought a 2017 ecoboost premium this weekend. The reason I bought it is I couldn't get approved for a gt. Its fully loaded and I'm loving it. Of course I would rather have the 5.0 but I'm making the best of my situation

I really did get an eb over a gt because of insurance Lol.. at the time, insurance for a GT would cost me $430 a month.. that's more than the note on my eb Lol. Right now Im paying $185 a month with progressive for my eb and will probably pay it off by the end of this year, 2 years early.. have $9k in positive equity.

That was fun, and to each his/her own. I’m 55 years old and bought a 2020 Mustang Eco Premium. Always thought I’d get a 5.0, but decided to have my midlife crisis on a budget, plus I’m lazy and when I went to the nearest dealership the car that had the options I wanted and was the right color was an Eco. Adaptive exhaust, sounds good enough to me, no regrets. She’s going to remain stock other than perhaps upgrading the intercooler. But who knows, one day I might just get the 5.0 because all things being equal, naturally aspirated just seems better to me.

Also, the 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus can do a 10.6. Considering the US spec only makes 610 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. Considering the Corvette makes 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, I'm not really surprised at that
I came across a 2015 Ecoboost Mustang with only a tune on my 2014 V6 and it was almost as fast as me. Those things are pretty speedy.

Caleb Nation really? 15 minutes on Google and all I find is the L-family engines (the 2.3 turbo being the L3-VDT) are all Mazda.
That's not even official. It's only speculated to be because Ford owns Mazda, and Mazda used to have a 2.3 engine themselves. That doesn't mean it has to be Mazda's engine. As far as i remember Ford has the ability and knowledge to build engines themselves as well. Because as far as i know this engine was completely developed from the ground up By Ford, Mazda and with a little help from a German company called FEV Engineering. That doesn't sound like the kind of involvement necessary just to modify an already existing engine.
I don't unfortunately why people always have to bring bullshit comments into videos just to ruin the comments sections with confrontations and unnecessary drama. Why couldn't you just see it as a great engine and not bring up Rumors just because you want to be the 'more informed' person here?
Dean Grimsell the L3-VDT and the 2.3 EcoBoost do use the same block, that's fact. Ford themselves say that, the rest of the engine, they say is all them, and its a different turbo than the L3-VDT. It's not just the fact that they use the same block, or the fact that they're both 2.3 L I4's, it's also the fact that their power and torque curves and outputs are VERY similar. And, by the way, I wasn't trying to bash Ford in any way in my original comment.
Would say the most reliable or problem free... but my 16 eco with 87.000km has been problem free so far... I believe that both coyote and ecoboost for the mustang are well designed, despite some problems ford did a good job for both mustang gen.

You can't daily drive it (unless if you can keep up with the trash fuel economy) there are other better options like a mustang gt less power but it's much cheaper and parts are every where for it also chryslers are known for being unreliable

i have a 17 eco and honestly it is amazing. Im 21 y.o. and went from 145 hp to 310 which is a huge difference. Ive already almost gotten some reckless tickets so the part about the GT having too much raw power is kind of true haha i cant imagine myself driving that because even with 310 i am cutting close with speeding i mean cmon its hard not to
But for someone who doesn't have a full hard on for engines and speed, the ecoboost is the better, cheaper, and easier car if you are going to daily drive it (in the long run)
The ecoboost is a cylnder head modded Duratec 2.3 or origional design is actually a 2.3L called L3VE and it's based off the b6T and 1.8 BP motors, this motor is better with the older Port fuel injection heads due to being somewhat stronger quality, the stock NA 2.3 can make around 300HP they use it in rally racing, people who turbo the port injected motor can make insane numbers like the blue Ranger GT that has the duratec 2.3 and a turbo 10 second 130mph

With my budget i was able to either get the 2019 EcoBoost Premium or the GT Base. I went with the EcoBoost Premium because im more interested in having leather interior with all the bells and whistles than i am having a V8. That being said, if i could afford a V8 Premium id be driving one. I do love my EcoBoost tho 👍

Good thing I have the Taurus SHO (3.5 L Ecoboost). And as someone who did a muffler delete on my car I will say it does not sound like a V8, more like a beefier/bassier version of what a STi or Evo sounds like.
Let me preface this by first saying, I own a '21 Mustang GT. With that out of the way, I have owned 2 '67 GTs, one with a 289 HiPo and the other a 302. Both were heavily modified. Neither ever hit 330 hp. So, for a 4cylinder to be putting out something close to 330 hp, it's damn impressive. Technology is great sometimes....really wish I still had those '67s though.
Me and a friend of mine were celebrating after she bought her first mustang (a white 2015 ecoboost). Some assholes inside our local starbucks started talking about how terrible it sounded and how it was a "Mustang for poor people". I walk over to see who said that and the guy looked like a sixteen year old rapidly aging. I go over to him and his friends to ask him "I'd like to see what a rich person drives these days" in English (English is a common language in my country yet it's considered kind of aggressive to speak it).
I said that to him as I point outside to the parking lot. There was only one car in the parking lot.
I get asked back by my friend to our table and laugh the whole thing off
I lived in the Philippines (not anymore as I have moved west along with most of the people I know). Back there it was quite common to hear people pretend to be rich to impress peers. My friend just wanted to own a mustang, something she can drive around and enjoy. She didn't need the big V8 or the two million horse power, she just wanted a mustang. I'm quite close to that age she was in when she bought that Mustang and honestly I'd want an Eco boost too!
I like the EcoBoost premium definitely a great car I never had a problem with it I got stupid an traded it in for a 5.0 gt premium an now I'm paying more for it so I'm definitely going back to the new mustang EcoBoost premium with the performance package

I own an ecoboost and i have never said those things but the people that do have some good imagination 😂 funny as hell too. Only thing i say is that i will TRY to upgrade to a gt now because i have found a better job that what i used to have. I make $650-$800(mostly $750) a week after taxes with this job so idk if i am able to afford one but if i can i will.its always up to the bank tho cus im pretty sure i can pay $600 a month for a car. But at the same time I'm thinking of keeping the eco until the next model if mustangs come out and get a gt then if the models are pretty. But i do want that gt power :(

I’m looking to buy my very first Mustang soon for my 30th birthday. I can easily afford a 2020 GT, so that being said I can afford an Ecoboost. Now I don’t have a heavy foot, love turbo sound, love the growl sound. One cost 10k less than the other. I’m really debating which would fit me right. I could care less about the whole “ why didn’t you get a 5.0 if i get an Ecoboost” honestly that argument is truly lame. No one pays the cars monthly payment and insurance but me.

My friends ecoboost pushes almost 500hp and is the best sounding one ik. It's not as loud as a v8 but I def like it more. It's not faster but it's still a fun car.

I coudn't afford a 21 GT so I got a 21 Ecoboost. Plus I wanted a convertible, so I really couldn't afford the drop top version of the Stang. Next time, V8 with a drop top for sure.

Lmao. I had a older Charger R/T and I went to the Ecoboost. I like it and I've modded, still a few mods to go but I will be returning to the V8 after this car. I don't care, I miss the V8 sound!!!

The only reason I would buy an eco-boost is if I didn’t have the money but I needed a new car And I always want to have a muscle car eco boost is a cheaper option not the best but cheaper
Lol i am planning on getting a 19 ecoboost since i have an avalon. I just want a fun little sports car and get good gas without breaking my bank. It's the same price as an 86 or miata but better imo
