People are supposed experts, yet they don't even know that horses didn't arrive to the Levant or Egypt until 1400-1500BC. The Horse is from the Eurasian steppes what is now Kazakhstan
Thank you for sharing...
Someone who hasn't had a bond and ridden with a pasion horse, pony, donkey or mule won't truly understand the bond that the solders had with there horse.
I found the old mule quarters in the old coal mines
Hello. My name is Alistair Young and I am a teacher from Bradford. I am starting to create my third educational video related to teaching young people about the importance of remembrance. I would like to do a section on the incredible sacrifices made by our military horses and would love your help if possible by allowing me to use some of this incredible footage with appropriate crediting of course. Thanks so much.
I wonder if any of the horses knew that they could be killed in battle, or if they all jut trusted their riders.
I think some knew. Some didn't. It's just my intuition.
Of course warhorses know what they're doing
A little column a and b
Horses do not have the emotional capacity of humans. They live simply in the basis of their natural instincts. They understood the danger around them due to their prey instinct and knowing that danger like that could result in them being killed or eaten, but they were perfectly trained. They trusted their riders implicitly and did their jobs bravely and defying the natural instincts which would be running from danger. The horse had to be so well trained because the soldier could not sit there and focus on a misbehaving horse if he did that he would be dead along with the horse.
It's bad enough that we had to kill each other through history, but bringing innocent horses in to suffer like they have is pure criminality.
I wonder if horses like to fight the same way as peoplr do

I hope we will put all of our positive thoughts and comments into action by giving our domestic and wild horses the protection they deserve. Each Congress comes closer and closer to protecting our horses from slaughter. The 115th Congress kicked off with a bill, once again, in the U.S. House of Representatives to protect horses from export for human consumption (most people don't know that horse meat is not even used for dog or pet food in this country). The title of the bill is H.R.113 - The Safeguard American Food Exports Act - and it protects 150 thousand horses per year from export for slaughter. It is considered a food safety bill because horses are not raised for food in the U.S. and are given many substances throughout their life that are not approved by the FDA for food animals. Human disease and death has been linked to drugs given to horses. So what becomes of a horse that can no longer be cared for? The same as any companion animal: we put it to sleep with a humane injection and cremate or bury the remains. . . . . . . What can you do? Call your U.S. Congressman and ask them to cosponsor H.R.113 and to bring the bill to the floor for a vote. Your Congressman and information on H.R.113 can be found on Congress.gov. Thank you, our horses deserve the best.
