I dont know how they doing but I when starting to learn stick welding (already manage gaswelding very well) every restart is an issue, space between, otherwise you end up grinding, grinding, grinding thats a fact, i still think it s kind tricky compared to gas weld which i learning from a very young age. If not everything changed completely you guys would get a very well paid work easalie. Maybe im getting to old but for the novice ones you could say its stickwelders Dont do! Your equipment leave a lot to wish but a skilled welder manage that too. Always ask yourself what kind of welding technology is preferred, and take form there and down. You can execute a weld but its gonna be a lot of extra work, and with stick welding its grinding grindi....
