- This documentary presents the different habitats of the species in Europe. It shows spectacular pictures, such as from the Norwegian Lofotes, where the sea eagles profit from the hunting success of orcas and hunchbacks. Or from the swamps in Finland, where the sea eagle moves near to wolves and bears in order to profit from their success again. In Germany most of the sea eagles live in the north-eastern areas that are rich in waters.The movie accompanys the eagles that are on an island which is home for hundreds of sea ravens, in order to eat the “babyfood” of the sea raven babys. Here again the sea eagle takes profit out of the success of the fellow creatures in their haunt.Thanks to dedicated conservationists, foresters and hunters, in our forests there never hatched as many sea eagles as today, and the times where eagles have been seen as varmints are over.

Very nice work. Just a comment : the black birds in the beginning sequense are not ravens, but crows. :) The ravens are fully black, not black and grey:) I live up north Norway so I see this all the time.
I also thought this I live england and we only have pure black crows not the black and grey varieties

Eagle build his goodness in top of trees and his patients build the nest. I can't see a human hunter such a prize deer. Why would they leave it? With regards to lead ammunition. All hunting bullets are a copper jacketed type. They have a design purpose, depending on what is being shot. A human hunter would want the least amount of meet damage, so wouldn't use a bullet that break ups. Most bullets would also exit the animal that is being shot. Must have been shot for the video. Birds are dying from loads of various reasons, Bird flu, pollution to name a few. Cormorants are allowed to be controlled with a government license in the UK. They are a pest to fisheries, as are pigeons to farmers.
Agreed, the deer cadavre did look rather giftwrapped. Not uncommon for documentary makers to adjust the "set" to get the footage they want.
Just like us humans "love to be in a monogamous relatioship?" ha ha ha... What a joke! Ravens are more faithful!

Merciless, cruel, these human terms we put on animals because their eating needs sometimes requires eating an animal alive, it's nature at work, a bear eats human beings while they scream, without the slightest bother, because their eating, that's all, animals don't ponder or dwell on the days weather, it's eat or die, if you ever experienced true starvation situation, you too could eat an animal while it howls for mercy.
