Finally a kindhearted guy made a video on how to take the cover off this printer! Thank you so much Big Boi! You saved me a LOT of time & headaches! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Hi Big Boi
I have two items that I can’t figure out where they go as I’m reassembling my Epson 3880. I’ve checked off sprockets to see if the gear fell off over one of them and I checked the service manual; every page to see where this gear might have fallen off of if it has fallen off a sprocket.
And I’ve also look for this metal flange I simply forgotten where I took it from inside the printer.
Are you familiar with either one of these parts?
I bought it refurbished, directly from Epson.
When it was being serviced, perhaps the engineer left these parts inside floating around. (Wishful thinking on my part :-) :-)?)
If you can help me determine if these are just objects that were left in the printer and fell out when I disassembled it or if these are objects, that should be put back into the printer. I just cannot figure out where they go.
You can’t see them which is important to know what I’m talking about. Is there any way that I can somehow show them to you?
Thank you,
OM
Y’all hit that 👍🏼! Great info Big Boi!
Big Boi! With the 3880 knowledge for a recent owner like me :)
Bro sitting here taking these screws out watching you teach me thanks and blessing day one of my process
Bruh, you just saved me a lot of time and a major headache @ 18:08
You are special! Thanks your Video helped me very much!
Hi Big Boi: your fix it yourself videos and advice on Epson 3800 and 3880 are awesome and will save me big bucks. I have a question? I am in the process of re-assembling my 3880 after using your method to disassemble the printer to clean the printhead. What I want to know is; do I need to make a "Space Making Jig," to make sure all lines are in alignment in the printhead and IC cable as I reassemble? Thanks for your indulging me on this question. I dont' want to make sure the printhead sweeps across the track without derailing like a freight train. 🙂OM
Big Boi nice job! I'm trying to find the little door on the bottom right (maintenance cartridge door) that you might be willing to sell. Got a printer missing it and I have an error and cant find one online anywhere, thanks and again thanks for all the information.
hello, I would like help I have an Epson Stylus pro 3800 and it turns it into Dtf, but I do not know the order of the colors, it prints me with the changed colors if someone could tell me the order in the machine and in the Acrorip, I thanked him. Thank you
Big Boi, got it apart thanks to you, I tried to Upload a pic to show you but I can't it seems, darn! yellow is the issue, would like to physically remove and try a manual repair ughhhh
Big Boi, the yellow/Magenta damper is ruined, could not be repaired, they have some on ebay apparently new from china, could I trust them, love to the 8 tube supply line but those look impossible to get, not giving up, you rock!
I got mine from china! Thank goodness it wasn’t the head! Those 3880 heads are tuff
@@bigboiprints5726 Just ordered from china, my, i put tape over exposed nozzles and inlets to prevent further drying since i did bot want to reassemble. Thought I could have put new plastic over damber, sealed with epoxy, but most likely would not work, only for Mcgyver would that work
@@bigboiprints5726 Big Boi, is it safe to remove the 8 ink tubes that connect from the damper assembly to the metal inkjet cartridge holder? I wish to blow out all the ink that has been trapped in there, especially the yellow. Thank you !
Do you have to remove the cover in order to convert the printer? I can get to my rollers pretty easy.
I was removing the pizza rollers & now the roller tray is off track. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot man!!!! I have a question. Do you have any extra cart chips you wanna sell?
Great video, in your 3800/3880 replacement of 1 out of 4 dampers, can one of those dampers be bought new anywhere online instead of the whole assembly? also I have NO yellow that is my issue; is the yellow channel shared with photo black because on a nozzle check streaks of black come out instead of yellow, Thank you sir
@@bigboiprints5726 Thank you, I guess I will know soon enough as I disassemble the mammoth beast soon, who knows, I might luck out and could be a print head clog. Again, thank you sir
I would think it’s a clog. Usually when a dampers goes out. Ink just goes everywhere
@@bigboiprints5726 I never have been into subscribing to channels, I like your humor, being down to earth and cool. My other question is this, I have a lot of ink which expired 8-10 years ago unopened, safe to use since they're sealed? Also, you opinion on generice refillable cartridges and their non oem ink? Thanks !
No sure on the old ink! But I only used ink pro ink. For sublimation
Whew! That is a lot of hard work Big Boi. I'm sure the ones that have this printer really appreciate the time you put into breaking this down for them. Keep being great!
Thank you so much! Can u please send me a invite to the Facebook group! Was just watching the live!
