very true , once had a guy steal my 10 dollar hammer sure it was only 10 bucks but i mean come on i dont mind someone borrowing my tools as long as they put it back or hand it back to me needless to say gc had me follow him i put my tools in my box and i walked away with the boss to go to another apartment upstairs come back couple hours later found it missing it was one of the day laborers for a sub that wasnt even supposed to be in that apartment
I learned early on to paint all my tools pink and nobody on the job would "borrow" anything let alone steal them ! Now that I am no longer working, I am amazed at all the colors tools are nowadays.
