omg im doing chemical engineering too! maybe you could share some insight into your extracurricular or work experience related to that. I am looking into applying for an MBA in my senior year :)
Hey Gavra, thanks for the video :) am I in a disadvantage if I’m not from a STEM background? I’m an Econ major at UChicago- are there any specific things you recommend highlighting in my application that admissions prefers to see? Thank you again!!!
Hey! As I mention in the video, you can still get onto these programs even if you’re not from a STEM background! In terms of what to highlight, that would depend on your specific experiences. Feel free to book an MBA strategy session with me via my website (link in description box) if you would like to discuss this together 😊
Hi, thanks so much for the video. I just have one question, how much of your GCSE, A level, uni grades are taken into account? I see you did great at A levels however unfortunately this was not the case for me but my uni grades are good. Do they ask you to submit these results?
lozz o Hi, I can’t speak to specific weightings but I would say that if you think your grades are slightly lower then focus on demonstrating your academic ability in other ways I.e GMAT score, high university grade average
Hi Gavra, congratulations for admission,i have a question,i have one year of gap b/w my undergraduation and post undergraduation. Am i eligible for this 2+2 Program, pls pls pls pls reply.
Hi, I would suggest emailing the HBS admissions committee directly, but the website states that “To be eligible for the 2+2 Program, candidates need to have gone directly from undergraduate to graduate school”. So it doesn’t appear that you are eligible but please do confirm directly with HBS.
Hi Emmanuel, your GPA (which is still acceptable!) is only one data point used in assessing candidates for MBA applications so I would definitely say apply
Check out yes renea and John Fish, (you can just type out their names and Harvard) They have really good and detailed videos on how to stand out in college applications and they both got in to Harvard.
Hi, you would have to confirm with the admissions committee however according to the 2+2 website's information it depends on the teaching language of your university so you would have to decipher based on that: "If you are an international applicant attending a non-English speaking undergraduate university, you will need to submit a TOEFL, IELTS or PTE score taken after January 1, 2019. If you are in the process of getting your master’s at an institution where courses are taught in English, but you did your undergraduate work in a language other than English, it is recommended but not required that you take the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE."
V It depends on the person but typically it’s recommended to start 3/4 months prior to your test date assuming you’re revising alongside full time work and/or education. If you’re solely focusing on your GMAT then it’ll take a lot less time
Yes if you are able to get a first class I would definitely say try your best to achieve one but there are other aspects to the application which are important such as your standardised test scores
Nice! can't wait for the next one :)
Jonathan Asiegbunam thanks!
This is really good Gavra, loving all the tips!
Othniel Adeosun thank you!

Hello!
For the HBS 2+2 program, does HBS ask for academic or professional recommendations?
Thank you!

Hello Gavra, what would you advise someone on applying to a top business school with a 2:1 STEM background from a Nigerian University
Hi Emmanuel, your GPA (which is still acceptable!) is only one data point used in assessing candidates for MBA applications so I would definitely say apply
@@GavraNwa Thank you..

Hey ! I have a question. "Is it necessary to take the TOEFL test if we prove that we have graduated in english as our curricular language?"
Hi, you would have to confirm with the admissions committee however according to the 2+2 website's information it depends on the teaching language of your university so you would have to decipher based on that:

For British STEM students applying to these US programmes
