Bluebell Railway: The Standards Stand Out! 6/4/24

- The Easter half term is here meaning regular passenger services along the Bluebell with ‘Timetable C’ in full effect. This timetable would utilise a pair of BR standards which hauled many a service across the half term.
73082 ‘Camelot’ would be given a chance to stretch it’s legs after being out for sometime due to it going through it’s regular piston and valve exam and maintenance, marking its return to service since it last ran during the giants of steam gala.
The other BR standard, 80151, had also recently resumed service after it also went through an valve and piston overhaul over the winter along with a repaint back to traditional BR black after a brief stint in a unique Purple livery over the Christmas period.
Three other private services would also run during the day with O1 recently back from its holiday over at the Swanage Railway, was seen hauling an afternoon tea train named ‘ The Wealden Rambler’.
A photo charter train would also be hauled by a diesel shunting locomotive no D4106, the photo charter group would also have its own golden arrow service which ran twice in the evening by 73082 however I was unfortunately unable to film it due to time constraints.
