I’m a senior and I live in a hi rise. I’ve been here for 18 years. This is bigger than my apartment. I would love to have a nice place like this. If only I could afford something as nice as this…. Wow. Even a washer and dryer. It’s perfect……❤
Beautiful little house -other than needing a small pantry in the kitchen it is perfect
This house has curb appeal (I love porches). The entry is fine, and except for replacing the fireplace with a TV and bookcases, the living room would suit me. The kitchen is cozy, but there might be space for a shallow pantry/storage cabinet against the one blank wall. The size of the bathroom window would depend on who your neighbors are. ;-). I know pedestal sinks are trendy, but storage under the sink can be valuable. I like pocket doors, but they are not as secure or soundproof as a standard door, so I wouldn't use them for bedroom access.
So happy to see the bathtub! So many choose to just have the shower, but soaking in a lovely tub is bliss 😊. Thank you for an incredible house and porch.
These automated architecture programs are amazing these days. The leaves blow around. The shadows are great. The fire burns realistically. Nice design.

This might, possibly, work as a vacation home, but there are too many little "nit-picks" for me to consider it as a full-time home.
It's not how small you can make the house, it's how well you manage the space, and include necessities before luxuries.

I love the decor! Very pretty! I like earth tones. Brown is so warm compared to the grays seen all over. Unfortunately, with no laundry area, no storage closets, small bedrooms and only 1 bath, not the home for us

I'd replace the tub with a long shower stall instead. I'd put a linen closet where the current small shower stall is.
So would I and the kitchen needs to be a bit bigger. Not enough room for a pantry.

Absolutely love the overall plan of this house, especially love, love the fireplace, (so much cheaper on the heating costs, esp. in winter!). Would want abit of a larger kitchen (with a pantry) and abit of a larger bathroom. Keep the tub and shower, and cabinet under the sink! Did I miss the washer/dryer? Overall a perfect house for an older person like me! Thank You for this one! Ready to put my rocking chair out on the super porch! 🇨🇦☮️💙💙🌹

See, I'd have a problem with a MW over the stove. Maybe that's because I'm 5'3" tall and object to spilling hot stuff all over the kitchen - and myself. If you're taller, well, I guess it's to each her own. But I consider that MW placement hazardous.
Love it! I'll take it. But the bath seems a bit cramped - I think I'd do just a kick-ass shower and get rid of the tub. Also. probably do smaller closet storage in the bedrooms. But overall it's awesome.

Very nice little home and easy to make minor adjustments if people wish to. Biggest thing holding back building this type of house is cost to build (labour and materials are pricey these days) and finding the right price of land. Have built three of the five homes I have lived in and prefer building over buying even with all the headaches of a build. You get what you want mostly and not someone else’s poor design, poorly insulated and in need of major repairs crap. Yeah living in one of those right now and the previous owners did nada to maintain a house.

Yes, this house is "cozy" (realtorese for small), but it might meet the needs of a couple. If I could afford (and wanted) something bigger, I'd have more counter and cabinet space in the kitchen, and maybe a pantry, and I'd have a separate laundry room. You have to make compromises when the space (and your budget) is limited.

Flip flop the living room and kitchen, so the fireplace goes on the outside wall. Then remove the wall between the LR and kitchen, and replace it with a counter with seats. This gives more room in the kitchen, and maybe allows the dining area to become a pantry/laundry.
This is quite small,cute and efficient to a degree; however, I'm not seeing a dedicated laundry room. Did I miss it? There's really not enough storage in this home. I'm thinking it would be a cute getaway or vacation cabin, not something to reside in all year long.

This is a nice serviceable home. A few kinks in the kitchen design need sorting out but my biggest question is the wall treatment in the common areas. How would that stone effect be realized? Thin tiles? Hopefully not a stone print wall paper. I’m curious about that. Nice cabin overall.
Thank you. It's actually stone, but only about 2cm thick, this type of stone is sold in rolls, it can be rolled up like a carpet :))

Love this and the pocket doors. How much to build in western NC?
I like the overall layout of this one, with a few modifications. First, remove that inefficient fireplace that wastes wood and doesn’t truly heat that well, with an efficient wood stove. Get better heat, use less wood and if you got one with a flat top, you can use it to cook some of your meals in the winter time.
In the kitchen, get rid of the dishwasher, for added cabinet space and put in a pantry where they have those pictures against the wall. The shelves can be set into the wall to give you more space.
In the bathroom, get rid of those “useless shelves” that can’t hold much except for Knick knacks and put in a cabinet that can hold your towels, bathroom tissue etc.
Really like that coat closet and storage by the door. Too many forger that.

Nice lay out lovely compact home If I had the money to buy land and permission to have one built I would want a blank canvas do I can put all my live wood furniture in ,I love the lay out if thus one compared to lots I've seen , what country are these Hines is it USA or UK 😊👍🇬🇧
Wood burning fireplaces may be able to heat a room, but not by a significant amount. Open fireplaces can be as little as 10% efficient meaning that much of the heat is lost out of the chimney. An open fireplace by itself is unlikely to be able to warm a whole house, and in some circumstances may even make a house colder when used.
I would use a pellet stove

Kachelofen (plural 'kachelöfen' in German) is a type of masonry stove made out of specialized stove tiles and other refractory materials and originates from central Europe. Unlike brick finished or rendered stoves, kachelofen stoves usually have higher surface temperature, depending on their design characteristics.
I would have brick on the outside. The inside would have drywall with one wall accented in light brick. The kitchen tile would definitely change.

Close, but no cigar. With the position of the dishwasher the drawer knobs would block the door from opening. The shower placement will make it impossible for most people to reach the tub faucet. Definitely not designed by a trained architect.

There are so many windows.... practically no outside wall.
Instead of cement blocks what about using bricks or wood? The cement is awful but the cottage is cute.
Laundry????
Things I would have to change to call it home...
1st HATE fireplaces in the home. Yes they look nice but a pain to take care of and I HATE the smell of wood smoke because it gives me migraines.
2nd The light in the living room needs to be a ceiling fan
3rd not loving the stone large bricks on the walls inside the home. that would have to change
4th not a fan of the black & white tile floor~ would rather have all wood flooring
5th the kitchen would have to be wider for a full size frig. (I'm old I HATE shoppign)
6th Bathroom git rid of the tub and put the shower there, then where the shower is put the sink. where the sink is leave it open.
7th back bedroom wallpaper is hideous ~ I can see this room as an office
8th fromt bedroom.
I would need more cabinets in the kitchen and a step in shower. Maybe a panty in the kitchen.

Pedestal sinks are awful no place to set makeup products or a hair dryer. A standard sink with storage underneath is the best use of the space.

You can always tell a man designed it. The kitchen should be closer to a door. You don't want to be dragging groceries through the whole house to put them away.
Make the living room and kitchen 1 big room get rid of the fire placewould turn the back bedroom into a food pantry. Well half of it move the bathroom onto the other half. Make the one bedroom biger with walk in closet. Get rid of stupid dishwasher and wouln not have a front in load washer.
Beautiful design, the only thing missing is space to store e.g. cleaning products, a bicycle, etc. There is no pantry and no places for a TV :).
I really get tired of all the black/white/grey. It's so monotonous and boring.😴🥱
